I have a theory, as long as we're in the Christmas Conspiracy Spirit \ .

 

 

 

So, what's up with half wines? Seriously. Who would have a bunch of half wines just lying around??

 

 

 

So, in this CCS spirit, I've come up with the most conspiratorial answers I can think of.

 

 

 

A. Jagex informed a limited amount of people of the fate of half wines, thse people then stockpiled and cashed in big.(Lots of holes here, but what kind of conspiracy would this be without them?)

 

 

 

B. Hackers discretely obtained half wines through the source. This operation was never detected, because they were(at the very time of the switch) useless. They never attracted attention because nothing big really happened.

 

 

 

C. An eccentric collector stockpiled millions of half wines before the stop.(Imagine the OOC if cabbages were discontinued :ohnoes: )

This is how you make a black phat. Now follow closely. Use a knife with a chefs hat. It will become a white phat (gasp). Use charcoal on it. Then use your saphire on that tree to get into the Underground Farm. Talk with the fary cow and she'll enchant your hat into a black phat.

No there wasn't, this topic has been brought up a 100 times and there isn't even a shred of evidence that there ever was a black party hat. There were a few people that asked paul and andrew for a black phat as a joke, no more, no less

That is very far off. Bluerose13x and others who were at the top of the highscores at the time asked Jagex if they could have unique black partyhats but they didn't give them any black partyhats and that was the end of it. There's been many posts on the forums about this and you could probably find at least one by searching.

Pink phat = Purple phat. It was changed into purple at the start of RS2, not afther the dupe.

 

 

 

Black party hat is rumoured to be once worn by Paul, to annoy and slightly laugh at people. It can be true, seeing they made the game, hence they can create whatever they want.

 

 

 

BUT

 

 

 

Someone did a hex edit once, and it showed ALL the items of the game, with there numbers, and there wasn't a black party hat registered, so even if a Jagex admin once wore a black party hat, it isn't around anymore.

nope, it started out black, then went to pink, after dupe it became the purple one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

No, it was the rarest, as no one wanted the pink really when it was dropped, so when the dupe happened, the pink was the most expensive, so they duped the pink the most ot make the most money. Unfortunately this caused it to be in high supply and low demand, pushing the prices down, and making it the most common. Then when RS2 came out, they changed it from pink to purple as I think it was a bit too hard to code, or it was just plain ugly :P
