reich1337
Well, I've done some simple math to find out how good nat rcing actually is.... Here it is, these findings aren't exact, but more of an approximate. Ok I timed myself to find out it takes me approximately one minute and twenty seconds to do one nat run thorugh abyss, use house tablet, use glory and refill at bank in edge. Do the math. Sixty minutes in one hour, one minute and twenty seconds is approximately 1.3, which makes approximately fourty-six runs an hour. Using abyss pouches at my level gets me thirty-four nats a run, hence, making one thousand five hundred sixty-four nats an hour, selling them three hundred ten each, which is.... four hundred eighty-four thousand, eight hundred forty gp an hour. Now, once I get 50 runecrafting, I get 42 nats a run raising it to 598920 an hour. So here's the simplified version: 60/1.3= 46.153846153846153846153846153846 46 * 34= 1564 1564 * 310= 484840 per hour. So according to level.... 44= Approx. 500k an hour 50= Approx. 600k an hour 75= Approx. 750k an hour 91= Approx. 1.5M an hour Of course, including buying p ess, time of selling nats, abyss pouches breaking down, and pkers, (god forbid if you get a random) it is a bit less. Hope this helps. :) EDIT: With the price of ess (I buy 110 ea): 44: Approx. 300k an hour 50: Approx. 385k an hour 75: Approx. 490k an hour 91: Approx. 1.2M an hour
tripsis
You didn't clearly specify whether or not you were using super energy pots, but I'll assume that you were. I really think you should have subtracted the cost of pure essence, because once you do, the profit really is a lot less. Almost 1/3 less actually. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Luke
nice findings but we all know that 91 RC'ers dont make 1.5m per hour..it's more in the 1.1m region, and at 75 RC i only make 600k MAX, 500k average, using your method. tripsis
Mmm, your numbers for 91 runecrafting with the price of essence are wrong. I think you forgot that you make two nats per one essence, so you would only actually use the same amount of essence as for lvl 75-90, only the nats are doubled. So actually it's: Make 4968 nats per hour Use 2484 ess per hour 4968 * 310 = 1,540,080 2484 * 110 = 273,240 1,540,080 - 273,240 = 1,266,840 gp per hour I'm pretty sure that's right :P - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

tripsis
Well that's only if you bring a one-click teleport :P Otherwise it would be 54. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

ssenmodnar
the problem with your numbers is that you based it on one run... the abyss is based too much on luck, sometimes you get through on your first shot, sometimes not sometimes you get attacked, sometimes not 46 seems high, ive been rcing with a while and 40runs/hour is much more reasonable IF you dont get attacked by pkers. and even then i have to carry a super energy potion with me while running so i only get an average of 41-41.5 ess brought per run @ lvl 50+ then you need to factor in the fact that you need to click the altar 3 times each run if you have all 4 pouches so assuming u sell nats for 300 ea, buy pure ess 100 ea, and super restores for 500 gp a dose... lvl 50 comes out to more around 280k profit per hour... and 75+ comes out to more around 380k profit per hour thats a very large difference from 600k and 750k respectively... Codguy
Nice job with the calculations, Tripsis worked the double nat problems you had. And also since it takes a little longer to fill up the giant pouch (you can't fill your inventory with the ess from all 4 pouches at once) it may take a little longer with 75+ rc. Shall we investigate or just call it good enough?

wakka102
Wow, thats a massive amount of money! Why must RC be so boring though? :oops:That's why it is profitable. The tasks that people dont want to do are usually the tasks that are profitable. If something is hard to get, few people will have it and therefore it will be more valueable.
