god_of_omega
I Skate. Not that much anymore but still.. Best trick i ever did was a Triple Kickflip. I've managed to land two of them ever. :D They are pretty awesome... and everyone else agrees lol. I can do doubles pretty easy and once managed to accidently land a double kickflip sex change. Done several Kickflip underflips and can do Fakie FS 360 Ollies. My ramp skills are ok. I can FS air and do Kickflip to Fakies bout a foot above the coping. My grinding and sliding skills are not very good. Done a few Smtihs and feebles a couple of times but apart from that, i can only do 50-50's, 5-0's and 50-50 to BS Boardslides. Best skate shoes EVER are Reebok Workouts.... and NO they are not a skateshoe. My Adios had holes in the toes and they hurt my feet, plus i had no cash at the time so i decided to use them. They are amazing. Was landing most tricks first time in them and my board control was much better. Probably because they arn't as bulky as skate shoes and therefore, you can feel the board better. I usually skate in Adio's or DC's though. Currently have a pair of Adio Kenny's which have last quite a while. Nike skate shoes are suppost to be amazing. They are suppost to last for ages and are just generally, really good skate shoes. I am currently trying to get hold of a pair of Nike Zoom Tre's but they are sold out everywhere i look and the places and websites that do have my size only have the nasty colours left :( Heres a pic of the Zoom Tre's. Ape
I started skating at about April last year when a local skatepark got built. I had my Airwalk deck with standard trucks and Abec 5 bearings. Firstly, I skated up until August in these: I loved those shoes, they were amazing to skate in. I skated a hole in the side of them from sliding my lift foot up the deck. The grip tape eventually wore them away. :P I now skate on a Southstar Deck with Enuff Trucks and Bone Red bearings. I skate in these DC shoes, but mine have a little black around the front and have more green on them: They're really nice to skate in, and I've got no wear so far because of the rubber siding. My best trick is probably the fakie trey flip. I'm really good at manualling, grinding and I can 360 pop shove it up atleast a 1 and a half foot ledge. I can also pop-shove it into grinds. I have some pictures of me skating on my computer(on lappy now), when I get it up and running, I'll post a few. -Mitch New sig to come!
Garrgoyle
Dont skate nikes... Don't buy anything nike. So many reasons, Google. Personally I skate freestyle. If you don't know what freestyle skateboarding is... Google.
Trip
my last 5 pairs of shoes have been DC Ryan Smiths.. I get them for $15 a pair from a guy on the DC Aus team. easily the best shoes I have skated (out of 15 or so different brands/models) and I would recommend them even if you are paying full shop price. I have never liked Nikes but I have heard some good things about them.

ilya
My friend actually said nollie tre's are easier, I have no doubt they are. Once I get my nollie flip down (I can somewhat flip it now :P) but I have nollie 360 shuv it's down so good now, so once I get nollie kickflips down..I'll be set. Nollie tres are definately easier than normal tres, especially for me because of my ankles, it hurts sometimes when I do normal tre. For some reason (probably the ankle) I can switch tre better than normal tre... the logic doesn't work at all, but hey if you up to it, I recommend giving any trick a shot - you never know what you can do until you try. Hey since you got nollie 360 shuvs down, just place your back foot a little closer to your front and angle it pointing to the tail, very much like that of a normal tre but in reverse. Then pop it just like a nollie 360 shuv. I guarantee you will at least get the flip of a nollie tre. This is a great topic you started. Now I finally have somewhere to talk to everyone here about skating. Haha awesome, definately have to try that out tomorrow. Same, I never realized that no one had started one so figured I did since it was my birthday and I love skating. Wow I'll be so stoked if I can nollie tre lmao. :P Dude, nollie tey's are sooo sick. I got trey flips on lock, and nollie flips. i put my back foot like a nollie 360 shove and my front foot comes off whem i'm about to land

rushrock
Happy birthday to you! I wear Converse. I have the same black pair that I've had for over three years now. Had a graffiti artist friend of mine draw some kitties on them! :D Converse are super comfortable... and light. Everyone I know who skates, skates in them or in Vans. I gotta get those... deloriagod
Alright, lately I've been thinking about taking up skating again. I have to get a job so I can afford new shoes/skateboard/whatever. These are the shoes I'm going to get: But I was wondering what others recommend for boards.. I'm not looking to spend too much on a board, but I'd like to get something decent.. Edit: I've been looking at boards and I like this one.. Has anyone ever used a Blind board? If so, are they very nice or not worth the money. It's $75-90 (depending on where I order it) and I don't really want to waste that kind of money since I'll be earning it myself from now on.. My friend skates Blinds, he always has. I've tried it out a bit at a local park and it's slightly heavy [for my tastes, I usually skate Enjoi], but good good concave and are pretty durable. ilya
Ok people get this- It does not matter AT ALL what kind of board you sakte when u start, because all the shapes are all the same now (board companies) it really has no diference at all. same goes for shoes. I'd go witht he cheapest thing at the skateshop ( don't buy chinese crap from zellers/seers)

However, I live near multiple schools while quite a few stairs/rails so I have somewhere decent to skate. I could start skating as soon as I get my shoes/board but it's been a little cold around here recently. :( Has anyone ever used a Blind board? If so, are they very nice or not worth the money. Nah, it's complete. No way I'd shell out $90 for a deck. :P As for it being heavy.. That might be ok. Do you know anything about Element boards? I saw one I like so it's kind of between the Blind board and the Element board (both complete). Ok people get this- It does not matter AT ALL what kind of board you sakte when u start, because all the shapes are all the same now (board companies) it really has no diference at all. same goes for shoes. I'd go witht he cheapest thing at the skateshop ( don't buy chinese crap from zellers/seers) When you're just starting it doesn't matter much, it's mostly just getting used to a board and the basic skills. But I used to skate ALL the time. I still remember how to do the few tricks I'd learned and I've got a lot more confidence now so I don't want a crappy Wal-Mart board. I'm getting a job so I'll be paying and there's no way I want to waste money.. Internet Marketing For Newbies

Yes it doesn't make diference ESPECIALLY when you start, companies are all the same, although i like flip those are kinda sick, those stay poppy for a while more then otehr decks! btw i live in vancouver and there is a great skatepark less then 5 minutes away form me. or take metro to sakte plaza- 15 minutes. there are like 30-40 parks in vancouver and half of them are withing 10-40 minutes skate
