My_Eggs
Does anyone here play FFIII for the DS? I'm kinda stuck on it and need some help... I have four level 20 characters, a warrior, who can hit for around 600s with his two swords, a red mage who can hit for about 1.5k with blizzerda on fire monsters, another warrior, who hits for about 400s, and a theif who hits for 300s... I'm trying to kill the salamander that stole the two ice horns, but last time i tried, i got owned... and theres no place to save and at my last save, i was lvl 15... I really don't want to have to lvl up to 20 again just cause I die on a boss...Does anyone know a good way to kill him quickly? Also, I was wondering what the job level is for... my theif levels it really quickly, hes 10 job levels ahead of everyone else... my warriors and red mage all have 30 or 31 and my theif has 41, what does the job level do? 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Does it say they gain an ability after they job level? Because if so, its like FFV where you gain job levels just for abilities that you use by changing classes and then attaching to another class. If not, i wouldn't know. Now ive taken a look at the guide i sent you before and found the boss and the stratagy: Basically, just keep pounding it with ice attacks, and it says to buy this kinda ice protection amour, so if its around, buy it (Says the ice attacks are more hurtful then the fire ones). I would also recommend that if ice attacks are very useful, you train up another red mage, that way you can attack double with ice. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! BenBru
Honestly I don't see what's so great about Nintendo DS or PSP for that matter. I don't think that they are at all fun to play. It just doesnt seem fun to try and play some game with a screen the size of my palm. That was for when I was eight years old playing Poke'mon on my old GameBoy. I am an Atheist, and I take pride in it.
cadburys_egg
DS? Hah. *hugs original* Honestly I don't see what's so great about Nintendo DS or PSP for that matter. That was for when I was eight years old playing Poke'mon on my old GameBoy. DS? A novel idea, but you wouldn't use it on the move. PSP, I do use on the move because I can listen to music, watch videos or play a game. Also a new mini-usb compatible camera means it can be used as a camera aswell. ^_^

But its such a good game :) Heh, I'm going to learn Japanese before I even bother to try anything in Japanese again. I tried to watch Bleach in Japanese last night, but it was too hard to pay attention to what was going on + read subtitles. Guest AshKaYu
I have a question, PP. Is it all done in hiragana? Or is there some kanji? Cause I can imagine implementing kanji would be pretty damn difficult . . .

My_Eggs
ok... so if a shark eats a beehive, and then bites you, could the bees from the beehive still be alive? and when the shark bites yuo the bees sting you... then you would first feel the pain of the bite, then the stings, then your limb being ripped off... this topic is much more intersting than mine 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. sephiroth_king
Ok, first, I'm turning this post into the FF3 thing again. Also, I was wondering what the job level is for... my theif levels it really quickly, hes 10 job levels ahead of everyone else... my warriors and red mage all have 30 or 31 and my theif has 41, what does the job level do? This is my most favored game for the DS. I beat the game, a Dragoon at Job level 99, a Dark knight at level 82 job level, a Sage at level 13 job level, and a ninja at 23 job level. Anyway, killing that stupid salamander...That thing was a pain. I found going to the shops inside the dwarven place and getting all new upgrades on armor, especially ice armor. I didn't kill him with ice attack, rather I TRAINED all of my people to level 23 level, which you said you don't want to do. But I recommend it. Anyway, make sure your red mage has cure, and you have plenty of high potions....PLENTY! I found using a warrior, a knight , a red mage and another knight as the best party, because the slamander kept trying to ttack my other people, wereas I used gaurd with one knight so he'd be attacked instead. Then, when the knight got weak, I Hi-potioned him. With my Red mage, I used cure once, but it is needed just in case. Just keep attacking him, he'll die soon. Then, you asked what a job level does! This game is strange with job levels. Actually, all job level does is increases damage and also increases the amount of hits that can be dealt. That's about it. Well, I hope this helps. Enjoy! Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D In the meantime...Steam username: )I'll rewrite it later (add me if you want)
My_Eggs
actually, i don't mind training up to lvl 23, what i don't want to do, is go there at lvl 20, die, and be back at lvl 15 again and have to train all the way up again, thanks for your advice 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Edit: nvm, right as i hit enter, my geomancer used shadowflare when i hit terrain and hit Hein for 3.9k... Hein is dead now lol 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Lionheart_0
kraken? as in a water creature (Remember i havent played before). Lightning should do the trick. You seem to be shuttling through the game. If ive learned my lesson from FF games, stick in a spot and lve up a bit, youll need it later. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! elmo_killer6
how good exaclty is the geomancer ive never used him and what can he do? for the kraken zuesses rath and thundara (mabe thunder i forgot) from my black mage completely destroyed him. just use thunder atrribute stuff and youll be hiting mad damage
My_Eggs
the geomancer is amazing... when you use terrain, it doesn't use any MP and you use a random attack... i gueese you could say an elemental attack, i've had some that do 300s, some that do 3.9k, some that do 1.5k, and some that do no damage at all, they just get ridd of the monster lol. My favorites are whirlpool and shadowflare. Whirlpool is the one that just gets rid of the monster and gives you the exp, and shadowflare is the one that hits for 3.9k 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.
