this questions been haunting me for days :XD: . im really close to 85 slayer, and i want to know what can make more money.

91 Runecrafting your sure you'll get cash , 85 slayer is hoping for the drops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If i had the choice : 91 runecrafting.

Runecrafting will ulitmately make you more money for now since you can consistently make over 300k per hour (probably more with 91), whereas with Slaying, rare drops are not reliable for a steady income.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But something I think that's worth bearing in mind, is that if they ever introduce Dragon boots, Full helm, Kite shield etc... it'll likely be drops from even higher level monsters. So I'd keep working on Slaying for now.

91 rcing. Slayer, unfortunatly, is pretty much dead (when it comes to abyssal demons). It's still fun to train though :)

Plus, when you're making money with rc you're also training the skill. Unless you get an abby demon task for slayer you're not getting slayer exp whilst making money.

hmm when whips where like 5-6mill maybe slayer but 91 rc seems to be really popular now

slayer is much more fun, but rc is a lot more money. In my opinion do rcing until your bored then go do slayer, then rc until ur bored. repeat :P

i think everyone agrees that 91 rc in the long run is a better money maker, however slayer is a lot more fun...

Id go with slayer, once you hit the abbys, stay for a whip or two, then go with RC. Because, 55 levels is a LONG jaunt (way) so, Id do slayer.

So, if you get a whip every 6 hours of training, you'll out earn the RC.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There is some luck involved, but over the long run, but I'm thinking you're gonna average much better than a whip every 6 hours of demon killing.

I've never camped out at demons for 6 hours straight, though. Maybe some hardcore slayers could confirm this.

You might never get a whip.

 

 

 

And then again, you might walk in and get 2 in the first five minutes.

well i think 91 rc is the choice cuz its guaranteed money and u can double nats and with sum helpers providing u pure ess u will make 700k in 1 hour (2k nats 350each)

Whether it's pots, repairing guthans, using food, whatever. RC'ing you only need essence and you make it back 6 times over if you double nat.

Runecrafting for sure, Slayer just involves too much luck. It might be more entertaining to train, but it doesn't guarantee the money

But, if you can make 700k per hour, as noted above, with 91 RC, thats hard to beat.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh well, I'm probably in the minority. I love clue scrolls. I love whip drops. I love rune drops. I hate rcing. I'm probably biased, but I tried to think past that.

And also, are you patient enough to work through a dry spell when they happen at abbies? If you are more comfortable wiith steady returns, then RC will be better. If you are a patient person and can withstand a long run without a whip drop, you'd enjoy abbies more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And also, you have to take into the fact that you're not there yet. Getting to 85 slayer won't be very profitable. Getting to 91 RC will make you a fortune on the way.

91 runecraft will get you stable income, whereas 85 slayers benefits are (mostly) based on luck. So yea, 91+ rc is better I think.

The people I know with 91+ runecrafting claim to make atleast 1M per hour, counting the cost of pure essence and super energy potions. Given on average 1 whip drop per 6 hours, 91 runecrafting is definately a better money maker.

Leesters - Actually at 91 runecrafting, most people make an average of 1m gp per hour, after subtracting the price of pure essence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Given that information, I doubt that you will constantly get a whip every two hours. Sure it may happen a few times.. You may even get 3 whips in two hours. But if you want to settle down and make some gp, runecrafting is the way to go because your time spent crafting isn't unpredictable.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: Once you're 75+ runecrafting, you typically use 1.5k-2.5k essence per hour. At 91+ runecrafting, that's 3k-5k nats, which is 900k-1.5m gp per hour, before subtracting the price of pure essence.
