January 15, 200719 yr I'd go power, but it depends on what you're after. If you're fighting something really easy but with lots of hp, strength, otherwise, probably power. Cool.
January 15, 200719 yr pking strength ammy training power. It depends though, if your training strength, use strength ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
January 15, 200719 yr i'd go with power all the times. they give all 3 boost a little. thats better than getting only 1 stat a huge boost, isn't it?
January 15, 200719 yr well depending what you're training on, if you can kill the thing 1 hit, then use the strength amulet, for higher level creatures the power amulets. ~Ddaanniiellh : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube!
January 15, 200719 yr It depends a lot on what your defense is and what you're killing when you're training. I usually go with strength ammy though. For pking, definitely strength ammy.
January 15, 200719 yr I'm surprised; most people are to some degree wrong here. It should be PKing/Power, Training/Ruby. For PKing on F2P, it makes a huge difference to be hitting often instead of hitting high. +6 attack may get you an extra hit on your opponent. An extra +4 (Ruby str bonus compared to Power str bonus) will only deal, on average, .5 extra damage per hit (you're not hitting much anyway). The +6 defense is also important while PKing. For training, let us use the following example. You're testing out both ammies for 100 damage-rounds. With power: Assume you hit 93% of the time. Also assume your maximum damage is 16. Therefore your average hit will be 8. With strength: Assume you hit 90% of the time. Also assume your maximum damage is 17. Therefore your average hit will be 8.5. With power: 93%(100) = 93 hits. 93 hits x 8 damage/hit = 744 damage. With strength: 90%(100) = 90 hits. 90 x 8.5/hit = 765. :) Ever wanted to find street prices of RS items? January 15, 200719 yr Actually, for training I would say a defense amulet if you have a 1-defense pure. I tried both ways on my melee pure, and the defense won me over by far. With a strength amulet, I would go through all my food before I had a full load of herbs (against thugs). With defense, I ended up having to eat my food to make room... so I'd say defense for training, and what you use whilst PKing is up to you. January 15, 200719 yr Which is better to use when melee training/pking on f2p? For training I normally use a Power ammy along with the 4 dose F2P Strength potion that you can have made for 5 gp. Give red spider eggs (ground spawn in Varrock sewers and under the Karamja volcano) and Limpwort root (drop from Hobgoblins and others) along with 5 gp to the apothecary in Varrock to get the potion. Hope this helps.
