Yes, because it is based on supply and demand. The supply is already at 0, so getting rid of an egg wouldn't do anything. It's just that when that person wants another egg to replace it, that increases the demand making the prices go up.

The supply is not 0, that would mean there are no more phats in the game, the supply is a number that either goes down or stays the same. It does affect the prices, but the prices are affected more by every person who can afford them. The more people that can afford them, the more the prices rise. If no people can afford them, the prices go down. Lamest attempt at a lure ever. No, Ive seen "selling easter egg 5m must be level 78 77 or 76 and meet at varrock bar unarmed.

Also, whether or not somebody can afford them makes no difference, just because somebody just saved up a certain amount of money doesn't make the egg owners suddenly decide to charge more. Lastfm
January 17, 200719 yr So basicly if someone doesent like your topic you have to yell at them? Welcome to being respected Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
January 17, 200719 yr well, they could drop, but also rise. if ppl ate some of their easter eggs, it would rise this really doesn't have much of an effect...this has as much of a dent as if someone buys a pumpkin or easter egg, or santa...and just decides to keep it. The fact is, its just not in the economy anymore...if someone chooses to purchase another...then its a different story. Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it

Not completely true. Eating eggs and alching phats means the supply drops. That means there are fewer people that can actually sell them because a few now have it. It gets harder to find sellers, so potential buyers offer more. That way the price also rises. So yes, eating eggs and alching phats WOULD increase the price. Why would anyone do that though  2432nd to 99 mining

The fact is, its just not in the economy anymore...if someone chooses to purchase another...then its a different story. If people started eating their easter eggs, it would eventually come to light that less of the eggs are in circulation, because people who eat their eggs mistakenly or purposefully are potential sellers. Anything that reduces the supply of a good will make the price rise, when there is demand for it. And demand is there for rares. In this case, it would take longer because it takes a while for the supply curve to shift left. Get it? Price changes cause movements along the curve. Other reasons cause a shift in supply to the left which increases price. Draw it yourself and see. More theoretical than practical, but that is what will happen over time. Same with players who get banned with rares in their account, they are potential sellers. 2432nd to 99 mining
January 17, 200719 yr the supply of discontinued items is always 0, if its any higher, then its no longer a discontinued item. Also, whether or not somebody can afford them makes no difference, just because somebody just saved up a certain amount of money doesn't make the egg owners suddenly decide to charge more. Some miscommunication I see... It's supply as in the production of discontinued items that is always 0 in case of discontinued items indeed. Supply is usually referred to as "the amount of the product people are willing to sell at a certain price" though. Using that meaning, the supply of blue party hats (at 450mil) is anything but 0. People eating easter eggs or alching phats influence the market price in the sense that those people may have been wanting to sell their blue party hats at 500mil and won't be able to do so anymore. So the 'supply' of blue party hats at 500mil drops by one if they alched their hat. The value of my bank at its height. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 250 billion+.Most likely the largest trade in RuneScape ever. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 70 billion+.

So the 'supply' of blue party hats at 500mil drops by one if they alched their hat. Yeah, you have a point in your first statement, but I disagree with what I quoted. If somebody sells their blue phat, then they change the market by increasing the supply, alching the phat will prevent them from doing so thus no change is made. well, they could drop, but also rise. if ppl ate some of their easter eggs, it would risepeople eating eggs, or alching their phats has no effect on the prices, but if the same people then went and bought another egg of phat, then the prices would be influenced.
