Dude. Steve Vai's awesome.

Satriani's better. Problem with all the virtuousos is that they kinda lack "soul" as opposed to other artists. Except Michael Angelo Batio - he's incredibly technical, but he really manages to do halfway decent instrumental covers of good classic songs and write a few good ones as well.

I'd prefer Vai to Batio any day. But that's just me.

Disagree on both accounts. Vai is a better player than Satch, although I prefer Satch.

As for the lacking of soul:

Joe Satriani - Always With Me, Always With You

Steve Vai - For The Love of God

John Petrucci - Lost Without You

Saying Satch lacks soul is an especially bad call, almost every track he's ever written conveys a pretty strong feeling.

La lune ne garde aucune rancune.

After listening to it for two days non-stop: Iron Maiden - A Matter of Life and Death. They've singlehandedly proven that some bands can age gracefully. Probably the best album since The Seventh Son of the Seventh Son, definiately the best album since Fear of the Dark. Hell, even the cover art is great.

Dana Dane - Dana Dane With Fame

Kurtis Blow - Kurtis Blow

LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out

(Old School is the best!)

Wayne Wonder - Schizophrenic

Lupe Fiasco - Food & Liquor
