Viktorkrum77
There are two certain things in life, death and taxes Brunei says different. :P They pay no taxes, and get free education and free health care. Their country has no poverty, and the Sultan is one of the world's richest men, with a fortune around US $37 billion. Brunei says different. Brunei Darussalam has no personal income tax. There are no export, sales, payroll and manufacturing taxes. The profits of pioneer industries are exempted from tax depending on the amount of capital investment. The company tax is 30% of profit. You may have meant "they pay no income tax" but they do have taxes there. Hmm, that apparently must've been what my atlas meant then. :-k Still, no income tax, that's amazing. :) Me doing staff. BlueLancer
When Chuck Norris enters the bus, the old people stand up to give HIM the seat ..Ok, sorry 8-) You may have meant "they pay no income tax" but they do have taxes there. But if you're an employee, investor, etc. and don't own a business, life's pretty good in Brunei :) It's a very wealthy country, so the money you save by not having to pay taxes can be spent if you wish to, with possibly even better shopping and retail opportunities than in some western countries. Parabola
I was told in a lecture today that 67% of telephone conversations is silence. Making variable bitrate a very attractive thing.

Like when teenagers are on the phone and not really saying anything. Waiting for some one to bring up conversation. I mean that when someone is in a telephone call, 67% of the total time spent in said call is spent transmitting nothing. That means that using constant bitrate encoding to transmit is wasteful, since it encodes silence into a relatively high bitrate. By using variable bitrate one can have the silence encoded at a relatively low bitrate, making more efficient use of transmission medium. I'm not talking about the telephone calls of particular groups of people; I'm talking about telephone calls in general.
Rebdragon
Edward Elric's alias does not come from the fact that he has steel automail. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series. Quasar889
Wrong.., I have too :P. My pancreus attracts every other pancreus in the univers with a force proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the distance between them. BTW, tpam, :uhh: Wana know why my smillie's blue? Cause of your post. :-s This was bugging me. It's inversely proportional to the SQUARE of the distance between them. You act like the game community is like the stinking bowels of hell.... In all reality.. its much.. much... worse.
Parabola
-A duck's quack doesn't echo Not true. The light 'burn' sensation felt when drinking a fizzy drink isn't caused by the bubbles, it is caused by the dilute carbonic acid contained within the drink. This can be shown by drinking the fizzy drink in a hyperbaric chamber at the same pressure as the beverage, where the taste is the same but there are no bubbles. Source. heart_of_ink
The number of times you use a superfulous amount of exclaimation marks in a post, times the number of similes you use, divided my the amount of times you use chatspeak equals the number of cats you will have in your old age. There's no sig here. Move it along...
