Mmmhmmm, the world is drying up so quick, it's too bad inland New York had 100 inches+ of snow.

And too bad Australia hasn't had proper rains for years, and they are being forced to reuse sewage water and the government organised 'official' prayers in churches to get water in there quick (...)

Are you really trying to say "global warming" doesn't exist? If it conforts you, even your president admits it's true.

And yeah, Al Gore is a democrat.

People who deny Global Warming exists are absolutely hilarious.

We're pumping Co2 into the air like mad, which traps heat in the Earth directly. At the same time, we're chopping down acre's of rain forest everyday. The rain forest is like the "lungs" of the Earth.

It all makes perfect sense, but nevermind that! A few degree's in temprature over the next 100 years isn't that bad, right? I mean, it feels just fine here!

...Yes, tell yourself that when the ice caps have melted entirely and there is no more New York to gauge snowfall on.

Even global warming skeptics (scientists) have been jumping on board as of the last year or so. The only people arguing now are people hired by oil companies to chatter for them. They're probably not lying though, I'm sure....*Cough*

The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past.

Interesting picture from the nasa site and I don't doubt that there may be a long term natural variation in temperature, yet it seems the basic conclusion the site comes to is 'we're not sure yet' or 'we need a better consensus and only time will tell,' correct?

That's basically all I am saying is that at this point it is impossible to be sure one way or another what is really going on.

I'll take that on board, and accept it to a degree (being sceptical of current scientific trends helps science, so I'd never be against it). Tigra actually makes a very valid point about the forests of earth being chopped down like mad. They are the lungs of the earth and cutting them down is analagous to becoming a heavier and heavier smoker if you like (in a way :? ).

I'd like to hear your response to this though:

One thing struck me after reading it. You say the IPCC is swayed by the government, and thier results (the IPCC's) are basically quite gloomy and basically frown upon fossil fuel use, correct? Why would any government endorse information that damages such a key industry?

There are alot of conflicting interests out there, granted, but I fail to see what kind of profit (the driving factor in corruption) can be made out of telling everyone that we have to cut back on an incredibly wealthy industry (the fossil fuel industry). You may argue that it will scare everyone into buying 'clean green' products, but what do you think is currently making the most money? Environment friendly or environment damaging products? Total no brainer really.

Aww, poor Australia. What do you want now? United States to burp you and give you your bottle? Get in line.

Give me a break.

Texas, one of the driest places in North America, has had so much snow that highways have been closed, roads have been closed. Now I know roads all over the world get closed when it gets icey, but Texas has not had a 'proper snowfall' for years. And so has Malibu. Malibu is in California, another dry place that almost never has snow. Ever.

Yeah sure, let's all accuse US, because we drive cars here.

Hmm, we all have contributed to global warming. Oh, wha'd you say? United states does 23% contribution to global warming? Yes, let's rely on a hunk of scrap to tell us the answers to the future. You people disgust me.

I dont believe he's saying that the United States is causing everything.. or most of it anyways... besides theres other countries, poorer countries that are suffering far worse than getting snow in Texas, even though its kind of odd that the South/West United States is getting so much snow, to back you up on that Where i live on average in the Summer its +26 and the winter (January-March) its about -35, now for the past 7 years the average in the summer has been +35 and the winter has been -20... Where it was once really hot is beginning to freeze up and the colder places up North are getting warmer. I also watched this video on the science channel and it was on global warming and it said that the two countires that contribute most to global warming are China and the United States both at 13% so you gotta think that its not just one specific area (country) its everyone in the world pretty much..

Mmmhmmm, the world is drying up so quick, it's too bad inland New York had 100 inches+ of snow. Oh whatever shall we do. Al gore was proven to be an idiot, ahhh?

yeah and he recently announced that he might run for president again in '08

god help us all!

Al Gore is going to run for president? oh God... If anything i hope Hilary Clinton beats him out even though im not to fond of her aswell.... It like that Barack Obama (dont know how to spell his name) Guy...

Exactly my point.... we all have a part in global warmin whether it be a campfire or driving our car, not just the US. Of course as the strongest country in the world we get most of the blame.

Alright look at this USA+China equals 26% contribution, right? Now there's 76% of the rest of the world. Let's see, Iran and Iraq power plants, that contributes some, then there's cars being run all over the world. That contributes some, too. Then there's CO2 from nature, which contributes SO MUCH [bLEEP]ING CO2!

Ermm last I saw it:

Humans < EARTH

That's mans contribution to Global warming. Hoped you like it. But of course this is the tip.it forums, and anything I say here can and will be used against me.

This is happening due to 'El Nino' storm. Heard of it?

The major car companies are located here, and USA is supposed to be the "World's Police" right? They gotta save the world.

By this sentence I see you like the idea of war.

Yeah, I know of it. It totally messes up the snow wave falling over north america. Warm ocean currents.

We can only contribute, we can't save it. You have to do your part, too.

It's obvious you don't know about the subject. Worldwide, the Iranian and Iraqi power plants contribute theoretically nothing to global warming. They are both countries with less than 30m inhabitants. Just because there are wars in those regions, it doesn't mean they produce more CO2.

USA+China equal about 50%, half of the world's industrial CO2 emissions, and China will most likely surpass the US in a few years (also in the size of their economy)

P.S: I'm not from Australia. I was using it as an example. So you can belittle australians because "I don't live there so I don't give a crap"? Too bad, it could and most likely will happen to you as well, depending on where you live.

Texas isn't exactly the best climate for a snowfall either, just like some southern european countries and african countries that haven't seen snow for decades.

Then it would appear your days are severely limited.

All I'm going to say is, don't argue or discuss an issue you clearly know very little about. It's for your own good.

1.) BlueLancer never said anything about the US being at fault.

2.) Those dry US places are getting snow due to El Nino. It has nothing to do with lack of Global Warming or Global Warming itself. Minnesota didn't get any snow at all until almost February...Usually we have several feet by now.

3.) Way to show compassion towards a country that could be facing a water crisis. And WE disgust YOU? Okaaaaay.

4.) Survival of the Fittest has NOTHING to do with this. That's an evolutionary stand-point. How about this - Survival of None? Or rather, Survival of the Inlanders? That's what Global Warming will bring. Hope you don't live within several hundred miles of a coast line, bud.

All I can say is you have earned a spot on the top of my disrespect list on these forums. It's a serious problem here and you seem to think it's a joke.
