Hi, I fried my motherboard on my main computer and I don't really want to have to buy a new computer from PC world as i know you get rippe off and the parts they use there are ****. I decided to build my own computer as I have some parts allready. Basically I would like to know if these parts are all compatible and if it is an ok computer!

Right off the bat, the CPU you link will not fit the motherboard. Your CPU link is socket 939, while the motherboard is an AM2 socket. Not compatible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Everything else should work together though after you change to an socket AM2 CPU.

It might be very wise to just spend $50 or whatever and get a profesional to put together your PC. (after you get all of the parts).

For the amount of money its going to cost I would reccommend going with a Core 2 Duo as ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã per ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã they perform better then the X2 4600+.

 

 

 

PS a OEM processor doesnt include a heasink.

From what I heard in october though, the Seagates were prefered over WD. Wd, supposively from the few threads of mine had slightly higher defect, and seagate, at the time, was better quality. The gamestreams aren't known to be the best, but at 700W, its enough overkill to put out a decent 550+ load.

If you buy the CPU and MoBo at scan.co.uk you can save about ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã15 (I always check between scan and overclockers for the best price).

 

 

 

Although for no price difference you could get the ASUS P5N-E SLi and the C2D 6400 which will preform better.

Novatech's Motherboard combo's may be worth a look - assembled & tested Motherboard, CPU, Heatsink (some can be a real swine to fit, if they need a new backplate instead of the standard retainer) and RAM.
