February 4, 200719 yr Ok this is about the banning system As i look at it its a no win situation for jagex lol Thousands of ppl break rules on f2P and get reported.....but of course jagex are not getting any money for looking thorugh F2P reportings.... If they ban P2P ppl ..they could lose a large amount of money aviliable to tgem through lets say a 12 month subscription Do you think jagex are more likely to ban someone who has aleady payed for their months subscription than a person whos got a 12 month subscription Discuss
February 4, 200719 yr that reminds me yesterday i was cooking in f2p and i saw about 4 ppl woodcutting and guess what their names were? wc mike1 wc mike2 wc mike5 wc mike7 then i walked over to the other trees and guess what? their were 3 wc alex`s they were all level 3 following the same path
February 4, 200719 yr Since the tools they use to detect cheating are the same regardless of the platform (be it P2P or F2P), I suppose they're jsut as likely to ban either type of player. They have almost 1m subscribers so I don't think banning a few thousand is really going to make a massive dent in their income anyway.
February 4, 200719 yr I think they are told to be as lest bais about it as possible lol, jus like lawyers judges and politicians but yeah, ur right, its obvious that they have crap cs and its not gonna do them any good puting more cash there
February 4, 200719 yr tought point, and there's no finite way of proving it. However, i do think you have a good point, jagex would not like to lose money. But, the majority of p2pers do not break the rules enough to get perm banned, its mianly f2pers. That's a common fact. There are p2p macros, but they get banned. There are p2p scammers, but those are as hard to catch as f2p scammers. Point being, i think the amount of money jagex would actually lose because of p2p bannings, is relatively small and insignificant to their overall profits. Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
February 4, 200719 yr I'm sorry to say this, but tehy are less likely to ban members tan non members. PLus, non members dont get banned that often either. For example, before I became a member, I cut yews. There I saw people all macroing. I reported them, next day I signed on still there. Two weeks later still there. Jagex just can't keep up anymore. I don't think they want to put too much time into banning people not spending money to play. It could become an advantage to Jagex soemtimes. People may get soo fed up with macros that they either quit... Which won't matter to Jagex because they weren't a paying customer, or they will get members just to avoid all the troubles! It's another incentive to become a member.
February 4, 200719 yr liek they paid us good cash so let him broke all our rulez!! i think not Veteran Cape Owner (10 year)
February 4, 200719 yr nto my business, if I don't use macroes, it makes me feel better inside thats the difference besdies moneys I'll show you how terrifying a true Christian can be!It's Xewleer: ZEW le ar, got it memorized?Hermit of the Varrock Library and its proud guard.
February 4, 200719 yr I think you have put this very badly, and is not a fair way to discuss jagex. You must remember that this is still a game where the employees care about the game. They get a large benifit from banning free players, and for that matter members, They want to protect the reputation of the game. If they let members to break the rules to continue playing just because they have credit left, I would ahve stoped playing long ago...... I would have no respect for jagex. Runescape was first made as a hobby by andrew Gower, not as a business. try looking at the game as sombodys passion, rather than a business, because thats what it is. The people who ban rulebreakers would not care if the player was a free player, member, or if they have 1 or 365 days member credit, they are simply workers for the business, and get nothing extra per account they ban.
