Full guthans, Abyssal whip, and 8m cash. I was thinking, should I spend 8m and get 40k cannonballs. Assuming each one hits 15, that'd get me from 78 to 84 ranged. And it would really speed up slayer. My questions are, how much slayer XP would 40k cannonballs be worth? And is it worth it in the first place... or should I just stick with Guthans and whip till 85 slayer? Never trust anyone. February 6, 200719 yr From experience, on this character and my exmain with 83 slayer...I would say trash the own cannon thing. It's hard to use it when you get higher lvl. (70+). Spend your money on fury, or other objects that might help, robin set? but I would totally trash the cannon. Speeds exp up alittle but not enough. Add me in game!! February 6, 200719 yr If you have the money to spare, it will save you a lot of time. I think it saved me between a quareter and a third of the time it would have taken without the cannon. I would also take anishoobs advice and get bones to peaches if you havent already. It is a tedious process but once you have it you will be glad you did. Another tip is to read axe_man_jacks guide, he gives loads of tips on what monsters to slay with a cannon and where to place it, I used this from about 55 slayer and it helped me no end. It worked for me in a bad way. I kept getting 13 bronze dragons and having to Burthorpe them. So then it must work the other way around, too. However, maybe I shouldnt have generalised and is this method still working for any task but abby demons. :-k

However, maybe I shouldnt have generalised and is this method still working for any task but abby demons. :-k For cannoning, it isn't profitable (Whips won't return money spent on balls) but if you want speed it is the best way to go. Use lost city and do all: Daggannoths Kalphites Trolls Black Demons Dust Devils For techniques reference my guide on tip.it or TSG. The Abyssal demon technique does not work as well as it had in the past becasue of all the new monsters introduced into the mix by Jagex (Goraks, Suqahs, Security dungeon, Terror Dogs, etc). When people say "fixed by Jagex" they are referring to how you could only get abby assignments at 86 slayer. They fixed it so you can get it at 85. My method listed under abbies still works for getting good assignments, you just need to be willing to do some of the other good assignments. I leave it in the guide becasue its still the best way of getting abbies if you are trying for them. And you still can never get 2 of the same assignments in a row from the same master. When I first wrote my guide it was all true...jsut cant change progress and updates.
