epeeflecher
Bronze Iron Or Steel Arrows? isnt it the better the arrow the more it drops on ground or are bronze better because u can buy alot cheap?which gives more xp and will last longer with a 300k-1M budget
Sjakie_1_1_3
Use either bronze or Iron. They are almost as good, and are almost the same price (15-20 ea for bronze, 20-25 ea for iron). I personally prefer iron because they are easier to get. epeeflecher
so your saying iron will last longer?
Sjakie_1_1_3
No, that doesn't make a real difference. I'm saying that there are loads of players selling iron arrows, and just a few selling bronze arrows. And therefore irons are easier to get. Goobore
Bronze, Iron Or Steel Arrows?... Well, the max hit for each arrow type vs Range level is about Bronze = (Range + 14)/9 Iron = (Range + 15)/9 Steel = (Range + 14)/8 So, IMHO, Iron and Steel are really not that much better than Bronze. In the long run, the better arrows will do more damage, but unless you are PKing, I always preferred to make my money last longer by training with bronze. (I got to level 80 in F2P with Bronze against Lesser Demons, lol ) Better yet, train down in the SoS on arrow dropping monsters. That way you may be able to replace what you use. I always liked to pull the monster over to my safe spot by hitting it with a Curse spell first. That way, all of my arrows end up in the monster loot pile when it dies. Finally, pick up your arrows if you can. You can average about 4 shots out of each one before they break. Paying for 1000 arrows is a lot easier than paying for 4000 arrows. Hope this helps

Captainkidd
I find steel pretty good, there like irons just they hit higher and they not that much money, any higher (mith) things get in the 100ks+ Thats mostly why I like steel.
nightshade53
I use the best gear available to me. I used to train with mith or addy arrows, but now crystal bow and range pots. Best gear = fastest XP. The faster XP you get the more time you have at the end to make money back.. duh

Compared to using an msb and bronze arrows, a cbow+pots is a truckload of cash more, and the time saved is not worth the money spent. I say go with bronze or iron arrows Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

In the long run it will make a huge difference.

I say go with bronze or iron arrows With all due respect, if one's ultimate goal is 99 range, using better equipment makes a huge difference. It may not seem like it when your levels are 30-40K XP apart, but wait until you have 250K XP till you next level. You'll do anything to speed that up. Mith is about 10-25% better than Iron, and addy even better. If you can speed up your range training by 15-20%, you have time to do other money-making things like runecraft or Barrows or what have you. Of course, using Red Chinchompas is the best way to train range, but that's a completely different story ;)

Compared to using an msb and bronze arrows, a cbow+pots is a truckload of cash more, and the time saved is not worth the money spent. I say go with bronze or iron arrows Crystal bow + pots is OVER DOUBLE the xp rate or msb with iron/bronze arrows. So, if you were training for 50 hours, you would spend about 5m in bows and pots. To obtain the same xp with bronze/irons, you would have to train for over 100 hours. Any idiot can make 5m in 50 hours :P Also, try to use the top spec gear: Ranger set, Ava's accumulator, glory (fury has the same range bonus), archer ring. If you can't afford a ranger set then archer helm and snakeskin boots are a decent alternative. It cost me about 100k per hour, but I can make 300k an hour crafting nats. At the end of the day using the best equipment to train with just makes the most sense.. Imagine training to high levels with a D long because you didn't want to make enough money to buy a whip?
