February 13, 200719 yr Corel Photopaint. Been a while since I posted anything. Looks like folks are still doing some good work here.
February 13, 200719 yr Omg looks like a scene straight out of Jurassic Park! I think the branches closes to us could use a bit more detail, and maybe have some strands of grass on our side of the little dinosaur guy's feet, but other than that, it looks fantastic :) So simple, yet very well done. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

February 13, 200719 yr Great work, where did the inspiration come from? The raptor especially looks great, I bet MXM will crit it  What happened to your sig btw? Don't tell me that it got removed, i thought you were the only one with a religious related sig that was still allowed. "A disbelief in magic can force some poor souls into believing in authority and business"
February 13, 200719 yr Author Hm, yeah, seems they removed it again. The background was taken from a blend of 3 scenes, and the dino was from 3 pictures as well, just blending some elements. It's coloration is likely a bit off, but it is a Compsognathus. There is a micro-raptor too, but I didn't think it would look right.
February 13, 200719 yr Author I suppose I should put some kind of signature in there. Anyway I liked the trees right at the front of the primary picture so that became the inspiration for the main background. I was originally going to put a deer or something in there, but my son likes dinosaurs.
February 13, 200719 yr I love it, but my only critique would be that that the raptor/dino looks as if it was painted seperately, and then placed into the scene-especially at his feet where the long grass should be covering them. I think if you intensify the shadows on his left side a bit and cover up his feet with some of that brown grass, it would look much more natural. Don't get me wrong, though. Your Coral skills have always impressed me =D>
February 13, 200719 yr jab! haven't seen u also for about a month! :o And tttia haven't seen u for a realy long time  :o ... i realy like this painting expt for the dino that looks pretty much like a plastic doll to me :?

February 13, 200719 yr The branches in the foreground need to be blended better, it's still obvious that you used a default brush for the lichen stuff. It looks too uniform, and nothing like that in nature is really that organised. It's all one colour as well, you need to have a few different shades to make it nice. Good job overall though, looks great.

The only thing I can see is, the dino seems to be floating, not really standing, maybe its just me  anyways..nice job, and great to see you back
