Santa: a dream?

I am planning to get a Santa, as the price is not that high (that is, if you compare to phats...)

I am starting with 480k money. The options I haver got by now are:

- Mine 30k iron and buy coal to make 30k steel bars...

- Mine 72028 (!) iron (7.20M) to get 85 Mining.

- Mine 50420 coal (9.07M) to get 85 Mining.

- Mine 26537 adamant (26.53M) to get 85 Mining.

When I get 85 Mining I will mine Rune and sell for 11k ea.

Questions:

a) What is the best option? (I am probably going with the smithing one...) How long is it going to take?

B) Many of you will say I need to merchant, so what to merchant?

c) Where to mine? (Addy is probably in Wildy, Coal in Mining Guild and Iron...?)

d) Is 85 Mining worth it?

Oh, btw I am F2P.

No! You'll die if you try to kill that farmer!
nah whips should be as left as is. besides theyre the intestine of an abbysal demon (i think) have fun crafting that.

I'd say go with mining.

B) Many of you will say I need to merchant, so what to merchant?

Nothing, if your f2p, if your p2p well thats another story.

c) Where to mine? (Addy is probably in Wildy, Coal in Mining Guild and Iron...?)

Addy is not in the wildy, rune is.

d) Is 85 Mining worth it?

No, just mine coal or iron. I'd say coal because if you sell all at once you can get 190-200 each, but not in like 1k amounts.

No-life mine Iron, souly in Al-khaird mine, and drop the ores.

Dont bother with coal as you're going for the xp.

Dont bother banking the ores either.

Once you're 85, mine 2k Rune ore and sell them for 22m...

Get a santa.

If you can mine 10k iron a day, thats a week till you get 85.

2k rune, provided you dont get rune rock pk'd, will take a little longer, but hopping about, aslong as there is the ore, ought to be ok.

10k Iron means you'll have to drop 400 loads of iron.

But if you mine 3, drop 3, mine 3, drop 3, you wont even notice it.

I'd do a combination. Mine 3 iron, drop 3 (in the Al Kharid mine) Wait for the addy rocks to respawn. Mine them. Then go back to iron. When you get a full load, bank. It is a lot less tedious.

D'you mean a full load of addy ores?

I sure hope so...

2k Rune ore is ALOT of rune ore. Rune spawns every 45 mins, now lets do some math.

A world hop takes around 45 sec, mining both rune ore takes around 25 secs, thats 1 min and 10 sec per 2 ores so thats around 1 hour to get 28 ores (including banking), so if it takes 1 hour per 28 ores then you would need to play 71 hours getting your 2k rune ores, now that don't sound like alot of time until you break it down into days, 5 hours a day thats only 14 days or 2 weeks. If you only play 3 hours a day thats 23 days or 3 and a half weeks or a month.

Also note: Some one once said its impossible to get 100 rune ores in one day so I don't think my times are correct, I think my times mite be wayy to short.

~I say, get to 85 Mining the fastest way you can. Time is money - you can easily make 5M mining Rune Ore in a day.~

~I'll buy all Rune Ore you get - PM ingame if you ever want to sell. I suggest you write my RSN down on a sticky note, and stick it to your computer; i don't like being forgotten.~

I am probably mining all the iron and banking it for using in smithing. When I reach lvl 85 I will begin mining rune. Oh, shud I make a scout lv3 or a lv35ish one?
