okay....um im currently playing a game called scions of fate. and i want to buy some stuff in the game with my real money...which IS LEGAL! unlike runescape...my question is.... all i have is a card that can take money out of ATM machine from Wells Fargo.... i dont think it fall into any card type that r listed...like the pic shown below

The atm card is not a credit card, it's a debit card, so it directly debits your bank account. If I'm not mistaken, you can use paypal with a debit card.

No, debit cards do not work. Although, you can set up a paypal account, which i think you can load from money right from your debit card account.

If it is only an ATM card you cannot use it for anything else other than an ATM machine. It isn't a debit card, it's a cash card. If you cannot use it to purchase things in shops then you cannot use it to purchase things on the internet. A debit card would have one of those symbols on it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I used to just have this type of card, it has no chip and you cannot use it in shops. Now I have a debit card, which you need to be 18 to have here in the UK, this has a visa logo and can be used in shops and online.

Yeah debit cards are pretty much a credit card without the whole part where you can buy stuff on credit.

If you get PayPal and set it up with your account, they will just take the money directly out of your bank account, no cards needed. Which is what a debt card does, so PayPal acts as a debt card.

Sorry, I should had mentioned exclusively debit Visas. Mastercards and others probably work fine even outside of the US despite being debit.

I have a Wells Fargo checking account, and with it I got a debit card. I'm going to go so far as to guess that this is the same thing you have, since it's the most basic account they offer, and if you had more than that you would know what you've gotten into.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So to answer your question, Wells Fargo uses Visa on their debit cards, and yes, you can use it to make purchases online. The difference between this card and a credit card is that the funds are removed from your checking account, and a credit card bills you for your purchases.

There is no legal way for you personally to pay money to the online company. You will need to ask your parents.

You need to look at your card, the will be a logo on the top right hand corner, which will tell you wat type of card it is. For example mine is a solo, i cna useit wherever i see the solo symbol.

1 x Maestro Debit Card. This is for my current account. It is the one I use the most for buying stuff in shops and online from UK based shops. I don't like using my debit car to purchase things from America because their data protection laws arnt as strong as the UK

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1 x Visa Credit Card. Only really use for large purchases and for things abroad. Its good to have the security and protection you get by using it but its scary the minimum payments you have to make each month. You could put a few hundred quid on a card and never pay it off if you only paid the minimum, forever paying off interest. 1 x Solo Card. This is for my joint account thats used ot pay mortage. I dont use it for anything really except to buy stuff in Homebase, Focus or B&Q.
