Some thoroughly bad ones I can think of right now would be Scissor Sister's "Comfortably Numb" cover and Cradle Of Filth's "Fear Of The Dark". God they suck.

 

 

 

Heh, that's not Cradle of Filth, that's Graveworm who covered Fear of the Dark. I thought it was COF too for a long long time, but nay, 't is Graveworm who made a mess of that song. Cradle of Filth did a great job with Hallowed be thy name though. Imo, it's better than the original :x

 

 

 

And speaking of Maiden covers, After Forever's 'The Evil that Men Do' is definitely better than the original! Gosh, that song rocks my socks \o/
