Pkmastachaos
Fast ways will always cost you alot. Keep that in mind. I'd suggest either buying un-tanned cowhides, or already tanned hard leather hides and just making hard leather bodies, for free players it is the fastest way, with making tiara's a close second. But cowhides are much better, because there's more of a market for cowhides then there is silver. Best of luck!
Eyrelex
I think making bowls in the crafting guild is a reasonably fast and cheap method of leveling crafting since everything you need is there. Check out my Pocket Slot idea!

mahlachi
I used to get craft xp from the fire thing mort'on thats how i got like 6-10 lvls and all you need is stuff u buy from the store there and its cheap and you can do it on a uncrowded sever and the building never finishes..Unless they changed this its a good place for xp. Freesia
Making glass could be decent exp where you spend little to buy seaweed/sand from charter ship crew and making vials and refilling them to get their value to about 200ea. Buying seaweed/soda ash from chartership crew and world hopping is a real tiring process :? Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Buying seaweed/soda ash from chartership crew and world hopping is a real tiring process :? He's F2P  Anyway, Cow Hides are the way forward. If you kill and collect yourself they're a good way of getting range exp (always use range on these things, then you get them before the newbies) on F2P. Don't cost too much this way either. Never bought them so I don't know the market price. I've heard Tiara's are good as well, but I don't know for a fact. Oh, and when you get bored of crafting and go off and do other stuff you quite often get a lot of gems. Always make sure you've crafted the gems into the best things you can make. Saves on bank space too. Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

I've never done the hardleather method but this is definitelty faster than tiaras because with tiaras you'll be spending alot more time walking and also the regeneration of silver is comparably alot slower than clay which is like iron maybe even faster and to my experience i havent had much competition for clay. Vulxai
I think making bowls in the crafting guild is a reasonably fast and cheap method of leveling crafting since everything you need is there. thats not the fastest because you need to mine the clay, wet the clay, form the clay, then fire the clay. making hardleathers you just need to get the hides, tan the hides, then use a needle on the hard leathers. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Captainkidd
Heres the cheapest or profitable* way to gain crafting levels in f2p. 1) Wield a brown apron, and some weapon that can kill cows, get around 100 thread, 1 needle, and about 5k* or 100k 2) Walk to the crafting guild and kill cows and pick up the hides until you have no room 3) Go inside the guild and go up stairs and get the person to tan your hides 4) Make into hard bodies 5) Walk down to the genral store and sell 12 each (Lowest price they will go no matter how many there are)* Number 5 is if you want to make money doing it, if you don't then simply drop the hard bodies and do it again. If you drop the hides bring more then 5k if you plan to stay a while, theres a crafting store south of the guild in case you run out of thread. If you want to spend money to get levels fast then buy hard leathers at 200 each in world 1 al-kaird bank and make into bodies and either drop or sell to store for some money back. I never said it was the fastest, also like i said earlier i never tried hardleathers, all i was saying was that this is both cheap and ive found it to be reasonably fast. After seeing Captainkidd's method i may have to try hardleathers out though :-k Check out my Pocket Slot idea!

Bludragon124
Good luck with that. You'll spend about 3 gp each xp with this method. Buy cowhides for 100 gp each, tan them into hard leather, and craft hardleather bodies. Noted raw mackerel drop... Wtfh? Always buying: Watermelon seeds, 2K each. Strawberry seeds, 800 each. Guest ShadowClawe
Considering you can go into the crafting guild, id say tiaras. Thers a bunch of silver ores right there and is there a furnace? Tiaras get you 52.5 exp each. Bowls get 33xp total including forming and firing and hardleather bodies get 35xp. Clay work is better for beginners. It also takes awhile like someone mentioned. And leather you have to 1. Bring a lot (maybe not a lot) of money 2. Have a reasonably high combat lvl to kill the cows (which he didnt mention he had) Plus, you only get 1 hide for every cow you kill! that would take forever to get your xp. So tiaras. So tiaras. thx a lot for the help but tiaras, u werent even sure if there was a furnace, just beacuse something gives best xp doesnt mean its best method, like im sure nobody fishes swordfish for xp.. and also, i need high combat to kill cows? sheesh any lvl 10 can own them without taking hits... and if i have 60 crafting, dont u think id have 60+ cb stats also? a lot of money... thats 2 gp per tanned cowhide, silver for tiaras cost 250 gp ea, hardleather costs 200+ apiece all in all this was a rather poor suggestion but thanks all the same for taking the time to suggest this pure:demon_x_king
Guest ShadowClawe
Ok, maybe i exaggerated on the combat and money lol but think about it. Killing cows even if your a high combat lvl will take a long time, considering you only get 1 hide per cow. If there is no furnace in there, then maybe you might go with the hides... Ok, so maybe you dont need A LOT of money lol And maybe you dont HAVE to have a high combat lvl, but it will still take a long time to round up a lot of hides. Yes, your right about that, but silver doesnt take THAT long to mine, and itll probably take no longer than rounding up hides from dead cows. Well, you probably wont want to buy the silver for tiaras since you can mine them (theyre like in your face) and theres not many people there mining silver...
