March 14, 200719 yr Author Yeah, hunter is a skill that's also good for low level players. The training is superfast. The materials you need for training don't cost much. And the reward... =P~
March 14, 200719 yr That's a nice guide. I have to admit I skipped a couple of paragrahs  but I understand the general idea, I think. 2480+ total

March 18, 200719 yr a bit of a random question.. but where on the woodland hunting area would be the best place to hunt the regular chinchompas? thanks for the awesome guide btw \ sig by Misterxman Un-Retired from RS X-mas 2009, 93/99 Fishing, 105 combat.
March 18, 200719 yr Author To be honest: I don't know. When I hunted the grey chinchompas, I didn't know what to look for. So I just hunted the first I saw. Only later I learned location is also important. In my guide I tried to explain not only where to train, but also why, so you know what to look for when you hunt other animals. Look for a decent group (at least 3) chinchompas close to an object that prevents them from walking that way. Try the south of the woodland area. If I'm not mistaken, there is a group just north of the ferrets (near border of map) and a second group just east of the first group (close to a fence).
March 18, 200719 yr I also red your guide and changed the pattern I set up my traps in to the way you've shown. Before I always lay my traps in the west/east-pattern. And now with the use of your pattern I have almost trippled the amount of catches per hour as I've timed and calculated it over some hours of training. So I'm very postive to this guide and I'll rate it high and I've found a new interest in training Hunting (lvl 70 now). So thanks mate :D 8 skills at 99: Herblore - Farming - Cooking - Firemaking - Woodcutting - Fletching - Magic - Crafting
March 18, 200719 yr Author Nice to hear. I felt the same way when I found out how to avoid the walk west, and changed the east-west lay-out to a better one. Experimenting with the best lay-out on the best spot was even fun. I think discovering how to avoid the walk west is the secret to becoming a high level hunter.
