July 22, 200718 yr Nice Guide I Came To Chins At Level 63 For A Hour And I Got 201 Red Chinchompas Using Most Of Your Technique And Also Got A Level At 145 Red Chinchompas , So Your Guide Is Affective Nice One :P
August 19, 200718 yr It's a shame that the spot is now too widely known. People are always there. I checked every single member's world apart from world 2 which I couldn't get on, and there was somewhere there. It's ridiculous

September 4, 200718 yr Hey...I want to ask a question: Is this format of laying Chin traps found in this guide http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=674557 faster or the format in this guide?
September 4, 200718 yr All your clicking tips sure helped me a lot..thanks I am also wondering about the placing of the traps. Is it better to group them next to each oterh or as shown in the 1st post with a little space n between?
September 4, 200718 yr Author Is this format of laying Chin traps found in this guide http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=674557 faster or the format in this guide? I think my format is faster, but that's based on logic, not on proof. I compared both methods in this picture: You can see my green "attraction zone" is bigger, so with my method more chinchompas should be going for the traps. With my method, chinchompa B respawns in the attraction zone of traps 4 and 5. With the method of Vmi90, those are traps 3, 4 and 5, so his method gives a better chance to catch chin B. But with that method chinchompa A can only go to trap 1. With my method he can also go to trap 2, so my method gives a better chance to catch chin A. I think having 2 traps near chin A is more important then having 3 traps near chin B. Vmi90 says that with his method you can get 100k xp per hour (less when you start at level 80). That's not enough information to compare with my method. My results: - about 85k xp per hour at level 80 - 91k at level 85 - 102k at level 90 - 108k at level 95 - 115k at level 98. If you really want to find out, test both methods at the same level. Because bad luck can ruin the results, the tests should be at least an hour.
September 4, 200718 yr Author It's a shame that the spot is now too widely known. People are always there. I checked every single member's world apart from world 2 which I couldn't get on, and there was somewhere there. It's ridiculous Timing might help (don't go during the top hours when both Europeans and Americans play). Also several players are training hunter only to be able to catch the dragon implings. It should quiet down after a while. If you keep having problems, start asking players how long they plan to train. Hunt at spot 5 in the corner until spot 4 is free.
September 6, 200718 yr true tht you have a larger attraction zone but consider the few miliseconds u spend running from 1 spot to the other. It might be negligable or not. I am not sure but placing the traps nearer to one another might lessen the time u need to replace the traps. I hope i am making sense
September 16, 200718 yr i used all of your tricks at lvl 65 hunter and could only get 51k xp per hour without distractions lags etc. Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably.
September 16, 200718 yr Author i used all of your tricks at lvl 65 hunter and could only get 51k xp per hour without distractions lags etc. "Only" 51k? That's quite good! Same as you can get with red salamanders. Other methods for red chinchompas give u at best 160 chins per hour = 42k xp.
September 16, 200718 yr Author true tht you have a larger attraction zone but consider the few miliseconds u spend running from 1 spot to the other. It might be negligable or not. I am not sure but placing the traps nearer to one another might lessen the time u need to replace the traps. I hope i am making sense I understand what you mean: because my traps are further apart, it takes more time to get from trap to trap. That is true, although it will take very little extra time if you use my clicking tricks. But having to wait for the chins to return to your traps takes far more time. So if my method means that less chins can wander away from the traps (which I believe), you win far more time then you loose by spending a bit more time running from 1 trap to another.
September 18, 200718 yr sorry did you mean 160 chinchompas per hour in your table at the top? i thought you meant 160k xp. (im new to this) Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably.
September 18, 200718 yr Author sorry did you mean 160 chinchompas per hour in your table at the top? i thought you meant 160k xp. (im new to this) Yes, I did say it was the number. Don't worry. Nice to hear your good results.
September 24, 200718 yr could you reccommend some trap placements for those who can only place four traps? (63-80) Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably.
September 24, 200718 yr Author could you reccommend some trap placements for those who can only place four traps? (63-80) Look at the picture of the 5 traps in my guide. Place traps 1, 2 and 3 where they are in the picture. Place trap 4 in the square I am standing in.
September 25, 200718 yr ok thanks a lot! Hmmm.... I need a new siggy, get round to doing it later. Probably.
September 30, 200718 yr =D> Nice guide. On the part about clicking, you should add that you can click right next to a trap (but still in the same spot) without clicking on the trap itself (the corners of the spot for an open trap and below or to the side of a "triggered" one). I do this all the time and I never have to move after picking up a trap before replacing it. > SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;0 rows returnedThere's no place like 127.0.0.1There are only 10 types of peoplein this world: those who understandbinary and those who don't.This statement is false.$DO || ! $DO ; trytry: command not found
November 30, 200718 yr I've used this guide since I started catching Chinchompas myself. At level 72 I was catching 150 per hour At level 78 I was catchign 220 per hour At level 84 I'm catching 310 per hour Great guide :)

December 14, 200718 yr First of all, great guide!!! =D> The trap location analysis is thorough and sound, but some of the other tips (corner clicking, not waiting for the trap to spring before running over to it, moving on to the next trap as soon as the box opens up, etc) are all invaluable and essential to maximizing success as well. I have a few alternatives/suggestions for those that can only place 4 traps. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll use the same color scheme, orientation and labeling to avoid confusion. Personally, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve settled on placing my traps in the spots marked by the orange squares. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m only level 70 and I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve been getting anywhere between 200-240 chinchompas an hour with this method since about level 66 or so. (That's 53k-63k xp an hour!) Some reasons to consider (or not) the alternative locations. 1a. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ As per quantumkik̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s suggestion. Might better attract those that venture northward (to the left on the image), but a little more running. Chinchompa A is almost always caught by either Trap 1 or 2. IMO having the trap at 1a was just increasing the time it took me to get that trap back up. 2. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ This is THE spot for this trap. No alternatives. 3a. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Less running, but having your trap at Location 3 seems to attract that elusive Chinchompa C with a little more regularity. 4a. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Possibly a slightly better chance of attracting Chinchompa B and also any wayward Chinchompas that venture east, but again; a little more running. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve tried various combinations (namely; 1a-2-3-4 // 1a-2-3-4a // 1-2-3a-4 // 1-2-3-4a) and while they all gave comparable results none of those were quite as successful as 1-2-3-4. (Note: 1-2-3-4a gave the next best results.) Basically, I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve taken quantumkik̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s suggestion for a 4-trap placement and tightened it up (with the exception of location 3). I believe this gives the best of both worlds: adequately encompassing the respawn locations while having to run a little less (the less time your traps are down the better). A fairly nice compromise IMO as evidenced by the rate I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m catching them. (i.e. matching what others did despite being 8-10 levels lower) Happy Hunting... .
