It does and attacking the innocent the Banana Republic would be a terrible war crime.

Isn't East Timor a sovereign country too?

And I just remembered that country existed, my globes and atlases are seriously out of date (I got one that's 1965)

That's in Southeastern Asia.

And I beat you, 1903/1929/1945 Atlas' FTW! \'

I knew that, but I posted about it since it's a small country too.

Well I'm just confused about it.

That reminds me - Singapore. It's a tiny country but is very wealthy, like Luxemburg, which has the most GNU per capita, I fink. *Checks Guiness books*

It seems like we are planning to invade one of these countries...

If so, lets keep it on the down low :-$

Planning full invasion 9:00 am tomorrow. We may be able to re-name it Tip.itland! Or at least something that isn't as corny... :-w

Anyway, that made me laugh. Especially since the Swiss are possibly the most anti-war people in existance.

Brunei, though not as small, is the wealthiest I believe. Though Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, and Monaco aren't far behind.

Hehe pretty funny. Got to imagine what it'd be like if you were a civilian who happened to be where they walked at.

The wealthiest are in order:

Luxembourg

Norway

Switzerland

With Luxembourg at roughly $70,000 gross income per capita.

Why Norway? Oil? Because yea, they have oil, but they have a baseless oil industry.

Come on guys, you're forgetting somewhere...Vatican City!

Most of the population are religious, so they won't fight back. You can hold the Pope to ransom and get to eat great Italian food nearby! \'

Speaking of small European, army-less countrys that no one has ever heard of before, I present to you, Andorra!

Its between France and Spain. ::'

From memory, East Timor is the newest country in the world (1999) and therefore wouldn't be in your 1965 atlas.

VC is just a little area in Rome that has a few buildings that is the center of Catholicism. I don't know why it's called a sovereign country.

I don't just have a 1965 atlas, I got newer ones, but not as recent as that.

I stand corrected. :P

Haha, those silly Swiss. What will they do next?

Liechtenstein once had an army up until the end of WWII. It consisted of eighty men and was sent off during World War II (I think) to fight Italy. The army never fought and actually came back with eighty-one men. Apparently they made a friend along the way. After this, the army was disbanded.
