Should members skills be tought on tutorial island?

Featured Replies

Maybe they should just make more skill tutors around the place, like in lumbridge. They don't even have to add new npcs. Just have it so you can ask shopkeepers and people how you can do a skill. And put some of those "?" symbols to mark them.

I've always thought the f2p tutorial is somewhat useless.. Most accounts that have done it recently have been either pures or macroers. IMO the tutorial island should be optional

Bugs and Suggestions Board, anyone?

Anyway, I think it would be a funny idea, have Bryanna make them cut some sticks with a knife? Then have a 15 feather respawn nearby? Then herblore...maybe vial respawn next to sink in the kitchen after you farm a herb in the farming patch outside? For agility, maybe an obstacle course somewhere on the island.

that would be a good idea but that would be giving rs players a free will and jagex doesn't want that :shame:

i wouldn't mix this in with the tutorial island, but i would suggest a new [optional] members tutorial where you could be taught how to do them.

Now going a little off topic, i would like it if crafting was taught on tutorial island, because i remember i had no clue how to use it when i first started, but i guess they have introduced the in-game manuels on them, which was after i experienced this.

Woot! Got total lvl 900 in f2p!

I think it would be an okay idea, but they would have to prevent f2pers from getting members xp, and the members' items would have to be removed from bank/inventory after it. They could also just make a special tutorial for new members.

When you buy your first membership you should complete a member tutorial island, this will eliminate a lot of questions such as: how do I farm?

I totally agree.

would help so much! noobs walk into my house they say, " 0mg!11!! how u get such g00d house?!?!!1 0mg h4x0rs!!11!" gah i wish i had a taser in rs...

i don't think it's necsasary at all, I mean, not even all f2p skills are taught. ex: crafting. But by giving all the new players a taste of members and than taking it away, It could be an effective form of recruitment for Jagex. So what if tutorial island is longer, it will only bother the people who make tons of accounts, and people who make autoer accounts (who incedently are people who make tons of accounts because they keep getting banned).

I think a P2P portion of Tut island would be good for Jagex, because, like you said, a taste of members might get people even more interested in it. I also think that maybe tut island should be optional.
