Wow! SIX MONTHS of Kingdom Results. 12.3 Mill gp spent

I see you only had 5 types of herb seeds there. Were any of them worthwhile?

1 was snapdragon. Rest I forgot.

I have a few pics from 13 days of gathering (I collected today) that Ill try to get up, but heres the net results:

100% maples/ 50% teaks (100% approval every day)

11608 maple logs

40 ring nests: (15 normal, 18 sapphire, 2 emerald, 5 ruby)

78 seed nests: (16 acorns, 9 willows, 4 maples, 1 yew, 1 mage 1 spirit

12 apple, 12 banana, 5 orange, 9 curry, 2 pineapple,

4 papaya, 1 palm, 1 calquat)

3 birds egg nests: 2 blues, 1 green

1958 teak logs

The birds eggs seemed to change from day to day, some days Id have none, other days Id have all 3 colors. Something else I found interesting:

While I was opening my tree nests, eventually I got to every possible seed BUT a spirit seed. Thereafter, every nest I tried to open, it said you have no room in inventory for this item (which would mean the next nest I opened had to be a spirit seed no matter what). If the nest had contained any other seed, it shouldve stacked into its pile. After I received my spirit seed, I then could open nests again. Now Im not sure, but you may be able to force your nest to cough up a spirit seed, just by holding every other type of tree seed in your inventory.

Spent: 975k

Potential Selling price: lets say 2.5 mill give or take (1 mill for maples, 600k or so for teaks, 900k or so for tree seeds) Thats pricing everything for quick sales too, could easily make much more.

2.5X my initial investment for only 13 days and very little work. Coal is probably the better bet, seeing as coal is usually sellable while teak has a weak market. But with teaks you get a few extra nests into the mix.

Once I get on RS I might just go and do those two quests... I think I'll do the maples just to get all the colored eggs, then I'll complain about how they need a practical use other than taking up bankspace. Do you think I could burn all the maples and at least break even if I sold all the nests and seeds?

Say i were to take out my items everyday, would it affect the number of items I recieve or the rarity of the seeds or nests i get?

Probably...From the posts I read in this topic, I realise the people who collected the resources after a week and above ( 4 people - myself included) has all got a spirit seed. Once I left it for 4 days before collecting the resources and I didn't get any spirit seed. I can't confirm that the rarity of seeds you get are dependent on the number of days but the possibility is there.

omg this 3255 flax is wat i got before royal troble 200k wasted 100% on flax :evil:

You cant tell exactly whats there, but it can be determined by how many open spaces you need to clear in your bank. For instance, if you did maples and teak logs, there are only 7 possible results you can receive (Maple logs, teak logs, seed nests, ring nests, 3 birds egg nests), and once you have maples and teaks in your bank its down to 5. As soon as you need at least 3 spaces in your bank, you know youll get a birds egg. But keep in mind it changes from day to day, I had days were I needed 5 open spaces, and then it would go back down to 2 the next day.

The way to check your kingdom is to fill your bank, so you cant bank anything then just ask to collect your resources as normal, youll be told exactly how many spaces you need to free up, and you can then determine what you have received.

This can be figured out for any of the possible combinations of resources, just determine the maximum amount of different items you can receive, and go from there.

Youll never be exactly sure what youll get with seeds/herbs, but you can get a pretty good idea. And like I said, with nests, those seem to change every day, so the best bet is to collect when you see you have all 3 colored eggs.

Best profit potential? Id say 100% maples, 50% teaks or mahogony

Easiest profit potential? 100% coal, 50% flax

Coal and bowstrings are both very easy sellers. Logs and tree seeds are far weaker markets, but have much greater profit chances (not to mention all the firemaking or fletching or farming exp you could get).

You should probably put 1.7-2 mill in at a time, so you can do 10 days (750k) a stretch, with a little rollover in case you dont go that 10th day. Collect that 10th day, put your kingdom to rest. Sell your goods, go back put that money in kingdom and repeat.

I was wondering does it remain the same that entire day ? meaning results are decided as soon as the 75K is taken from your supplies, or would it change everytime you asked him to give you your items.

If it only changes once a day this can be used to wait with picking up your seeds until one day you have 3 egg colours in your reward and go pick them up, that is of course if you like the eggs, currently completely useless :P

I would guess that your throne reward numbers arent determined until you hit "Yes, I would like to collect my resources".

I didn't take a picture yesterday... but collecting 3 days worth of effort(same settings): I recieved better seeds... Well if it changes everytime you ask this won't be of use to get bird eggs because by the time u make space in your bank it'll have been changed :( andyways If it would only change everytime the money is taken out of the coffers it would be useful :D

Id say it would be better to get 100% flax. That way in 10 days you would have around 3k flax and your other resource gathered. And at 40 gp each you could turn them into strings and either fletch or sell them for a profit :P

10 days on 100% flax = about 12.5k flax. That's some crazy profit you'd get if you make them into strings. :shock:

you see, i just did this while I was on vacation for about 2 weeks and got 16k flax. 100% flax, 50 maples. got almost 6k maples too.

sold the flax, had spent about 1 mil, got a return of about 2.2mil

Well, it's kinda tricky since it's playing the market which is finicky but here goes:

Flax - Buy at 40, sell at 100 (2.5x profit)

Maples - Buy at 56. 1, sell at 115 (2x profit)

Coal - Buy at 91, sell at 200 (2.2x profit)

Now, the flax you'd think is better. However, you get a nest of somesort every 100 maples you collect. The nest sells for 1k or more (those lovely Saradomin potions) and the seeds can sell for upto 200k (those lovely mage seeds) or low as 500 each (lousy acorns).

For a guarentee, go for the flax. I prefer maples personally cause of the seeds and nests.

Checked it 5 different times today. All came up at 4 empty spaces needed. Thats interesting that it doesnt work how I expected..and completely opposite of the way everything else works...
