Id say it would be better to get 100% flax. That way in 10 days you would have around 3k flax and your other resource gathered. And at 40 gp each you could turn them into strings and either fletch or sell them for a profit :P

No need to add cash everyday. The benefit of MTK is you can pay and forget it for awhile.

 

 

 

I did a quick test today: Had 100% approval with 90% teak, 60% maple. I switched to coal and flax, and lowered my approval to 80%.

 

 

 

I got: 1250 flax, 243 coal. That's as if I was 100% approval with 75k paid. So you can switch your items at the last minute if you find out you want one item over what you had selected.

 

 

 

Now to test out how approval carries over. That'll take 3 days. If it goes well, those that go on 2 week vacations can rest assured their kingdom will make them a profit in their absence.

Approval dropped to 79% today. Raised it to 100% using 25 teak choppings.

Don't bother.

 

 

 

Ok, I did my test, yes your approval affects how much money you invest is saved day to day.

 

 

 

So if you leave at 100%, go away for 30 days, and your approval drops to 70% at that time, you'll get material as if you were 85% all 30 days.

 

 

 

Here are my results:

 

 

 

Day 1 80%, Day 2 100%, estimated take 90%

 

 

 

Gathered 495 coal, 2264 flax.

 

 

 

495/546 = 90.66%

 

2264/2500 = 90.56%

 

 

 

Pretty darn close, eh?

 

 

 

The daily code I guess looks like this:

 

 

 

IF (10% coffers) < 75k THEN Amount = (10% coffers) ELSE Amount=75k

 

 

 

Coffers = Coffers - Amount

 

 

 

Work = Work + (Amount * approval%)

 

 

 

IF approval >25 THEN approval = approval - 1 ELSE approval = 25

Maybe some of this excellent data could be written in a "How to Manage Thy Kingdom" guide and/or sticky? Now this (rather important) topic tends to go everywhere on the board. I mean, there are like a gazillion barrows guides up here, why not create (1) big nice educated guide on this one?

Behind you - If you put workers on idle, they still get paid their money. Think of it as government welfare, or crop subsities.

 

 

 

Transcript - cut teaks, they raise your approval fairly fast. I think approval raising is based in small part on the cost of the item you gather (as far as kingdom is concerned). Yes, I've no problem Tip-It using the data to include on Manage Thy Kingdom. So far, the guide there is lacking.

 

 

 

Knowing the system can net you 10k flax and 3.6k maples every 8 days. Now, 1.36 million gp gained for the 600k gp you spent is not much. However, that's 760k profit for little effort. Not to mention a number of herb seeds and tree seeds that add to the profit.

I had an interesting situation today.

 

 

 

 

 

Three days ago I filled the coffers up with 1050k at 21:00

 

Next day I collect my goods at 21:00, and add back the 75k that was taken.

 

Yesterday I leave it until Today.

 

Today I collect my goods at 07:00

 

Coming back later today at 18:00 to top up with the profits I find that another 75k has been taken, and I have another 1250 flax :)

 

 

 

 

 

My question is why did I have another load ready so soon after my last collection, and before the time I first deposited the money?

So approval normally only drops 1% per day? That's much less than I thought. With these new numbers, I might consider using my kingdom. But I'm already often getting my daily sand, weekly tears, and planting herbs every 80 minutes, so a kingdom is really just more to keep track of.

I have found the same thing. 'Collections' are made every 24 hours. But they seem to be based on your settings when that 24 hours ends. So as long as you switch before the 'Collections clock' ticks over 24 hours, you will get whatever you chose at that point. The same goes, I think, for cash deposited. As long as you have 750k+ in the pot when the collection is made,

 

you will receive 75k's worth of goods, no matter whether it has been there all day or just for 5 minutes.

Its definately worth doing, its a fairly easy 100k+ per day and it doesn't take long. I generally check my kingdom every 3-4 days and the seeds are nice. Already gotten 3 magic 1 spirit and 4 yews :).

I put 800k in the chest, gonna raise my popularity (or whatever it is) to 100% each night before i go to bed. I've got 10 workers on coal and 5 on teak. Let's see how this goes :twisted:

When you did this test did you keep it at 750k each day (by adding 75k each day to cover the 10% payment) or did you just let the 750k drain, and come back after 10 days.

 

 

 

Basically, did you spend 750k, or did the total cost amount to 1.5m? (I'm trying to decide whether or not this is worthwhile)
