tuan_killah i think maybe you should have a hard think about if those films you listed, 2004/2005 release, are going to be remembered in 30 years like Alien, One Flew, 2001 and Clockwork Orange are?...

To ask me for my top 10 ever is almost impossible, id much rather do loads of Top 5's on specific genres and stuff. Thats easier

My Top 5 British horror movies for example

  1. [*:56k2k8w7]Alien

    [*:56k2k8w7]The Decent

    [*:56k2k8w7]An American Werewolf in London

Yeah but the 32' Scarface wasn't really the "original" since both movies weren't about the same thing just had the same name.

EDIT: I just looked it up more, looks like it has a lot of similarties, just different city, names, etc. but same plot and some similar scenes.

but maybe original could mean different things.

btw, is the 32' Scarface any good?

the 32' scareface is more about Al Capone isn't it? Or, there are some obvious links anyway. There is a rumour out there somewhere that says that Al Capone actualy owned a copy of the movie it was so similar to his crime sprees. Other than that it is a great movie, and worth the watch.

Yea, the plot is somewhat simillar, though everything is re-written by Oliver Stone and loaded with a more political element. So you got two different movies, but the '32 is the original.

And the original '32 is good, goes down in the books as one of the best and most influencial gangster movies. It was one of the first along with public enemy. It's pretty nice and one of the last gangster movies before the official introduction of the hays code.

You can pick it up for the price of a burger everywhere, try it! :)

Don't look at the idiotic 'collectors' prices at Amazon BTW. You can pick up a perfectly legal non-bootleg version everywhere. I paid 5 euro's for mine at work.
