How-to

• 1) Buy a bunch of cheap bone bolts for 4gp each.
   
  2) Equip Ranging gear, drink a Wizard's Mind Bomb, head into Mage Guild.
   
  3) Go downstairs.
   
  4) Shoot zombies!
   
  

Why use this method?

Well, with the recent shop update, the method of using bone bolts has become a more viable option. I tested it, and here were the results:

Bone Bolts at Mage Guild Zombies (+113 Range Bonus w/ 71 Range)



5,532 exp / 10 min

238 bolts / 10 min



23.23 exp / 1 bolt





33,192 exp / 60 min

1,428 bolts/ 60 min

5,712 gp   / 60 min



5.81 exp   / 1 gp

That looks like pretty good stuff! It's cheap and super-effective. I like the zombies because I don't have to worry about safespots. Plus, using tele-grab to pick up any herbs above Ranarr will cut me a profit out of this whole thing.

From 73-80 Range, I'll need about 43k bone bolts, according to my calculations. I like nice, pretty numbers, so I rounded to 45k. So, 45,000 bolts at 4 gold a piece totals 180,000 gold for a little over 1 million experience points. That's pretty sweet!

That's what's gonna make this pure profit for me pretty much. That's 10 Ranarrs alone, not to mention all those other above Ranarr ^.^ Took about 2k bolts to get that inventory.

Trip #2 done, and ~20k experience left until 74 Ranged. :)

I don't know, but I like the drops here better. Lots of high level herbs, including ranarr. Those are gonna get me some hefty Herblore exp and a good chunk of money. ^.^

I messed up my Range Calculations.. I accidentally equipped the bone bolts I had picked up from Fire Giants, which threw my count off. :? Now I'm sad..

HP is my highest stat now! I prefer to have my HP above my other combat stats. :)

In the meantime, I've been ranging in the GWD and am closing in on 77 Range, probably tonight. :)

OMG... I just died in GWD.. I didn't get Prayer up and I was getting beasted by range, mage, and melee at the same time, couldn't eat fast enough. Don't have Trollheim teleport so I couldn't get back in time.
