Today, myself and 11 other friends commenced the plan we have been brewing for about 2 weeks. We codenamed this plan: Project Operation Clown Car Project Operation Clown Car came about when my stepdad told me a story about when in the military they fit 10 people in a Hyundai to go out drinking. I told my friends and we decided we would top this. We would fit TWELVE people in our friend Marc's car, a '99 Mistubishi Eclipse. It took about 3 minutes to get everyone in the car, pretty fast if i say
A bit early I know... I was talking to Chris on MSN while drawing the picture, which resulted in me taking a bunch of "in progress" screenshots. So if you're interested you can check them out :P [hide=Halloween WIP Screenshots] [/hide] [hide=Details]Some screenshots of the picture while the canvas is zoomed in at 100%: [/hide] And on a completely unrelated note, I love my kitty:
I missed the proper screenshot for it, so I had to settle for the certificate thingy. Ah well, for this reason, I'm recording 99. I also just reached this milestone a little more than 5 million experience to go, I'm near the final stretch. 98 is going to be a breeze, being that close must add some invisible feeling of momentum I can't wait to feel. Back to mining!
As the title says, I officially love the Melbourne Cup now. Because of it, I get five days of not going to school! Melbourne Cup ftw! I've got the uncontrollable urge to do a victory dance so I will have to end this blog post.

Going to be working on some concept art for zaaps1's Divinite Mining/Smithing Revival idea. I've got the basics down, we'll be working to create some awesome armor and weapons, and some cool-looking accessories for the set. Basically the suggestion adds a new metal to the list, Divinite. The way you get to mine it is really complicated and to smith it is even more so. Obviously high levels are required. But the items will look epic. The description of each is already great, and I'm glad I get
I miss the old Lightning chat :( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!WARNING WALL OF TEXT!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tipitchat was the first of course but I lurked a lot back then. That was over two years ago. I didn't know anyone since I wasn't really active in the community. But when it got closed down, everyone flocked to Lightning cc. I decided to say hi to the chat and everyone said hi back, what a warm we
Another autumn, another round of operating systems. For those that are in the Linux loop, we're used to getting the full onslaught here - Ubuntu 9.10 and OpenSuSE are due by the end of this week, whereas Fedora and Linux Mint are anticipated sometime in November. There's a lot of promising stuff coming down the pipeline, and it seems like it's going to definitely be a good release refresh - new X Server, new previews of GNOME Shell (which I happen to like), new kernel, and more stability than ev
Cliche stuff is fun. If I was feeling really cliche (and not lazy) I would have found a dictionary and made the heart right next to the definition of love. But I don't have a dictionary so I settled for my lame school book (which I so don't love) D:

I was pretty surprised to see that I've spent so little time playing Runescape despite having had my account since 2001. Well, I guess I wasn't all THAT surprised. I did take very, very long breaks here and there. I haven't had a whole lot of time to play recently. Being unemployed means working extra hard to keep the apartment tidy while my girlfriend is at work. I've been searching high and low for a job. Last night my girlfriend's friend introduced me to the manager of a grocery store that ju
Well... It appears that I have been been gone for 13 - 14 days. I feel bad for that. Honestly, things started going really slow IRL and I got bored, so I didn't really play RS or do anything on my compy in that time. Also, over the weekend I was on a camping trip with my scouting troop. To add to that, it rained to the point where one more drop of water would cause a flood during the trip. No lie. =( Then I leave this Wednesday on a trip to Disney World! Yay! I'm going with my family in our RV.
Blogging time again. Last night I went out to celebrate a friends 20th birthday. To say nightly, I had a very heavy night, although at the time it didn't feel it, when I woke up today I could really tell it was. We went on a pub crawl, but ended up only going to 3 pubs. First me and a friend went to a pub around the corner from our halls called the Horn in Hand and had a few drinks while waiting for everybody else who was coming out (who all live either in houses or in the case of two of the
No...just no...have I really made it to the last stretch? I'm in shock - do I actually see level 90 smithing on my skills tab? I DO! I'm in a euphoria almost as great as the one I experienced when I reached this leg of my 99 mining journey. Tons and tons of gold ores were thrown into the fire in hopes of at least making it this far. Looks like it has truly paid off. To actually be able to smith a weapon that was so dear to me in my F2P days...a rune scimmy...is surreal ! The last
From a combination of genie lamps, penguin points and using the ZMI alter I finally achieved my goal of 80 runecrafting! Perhaps one day I'll be able to reach the oh so awesome 91 runecrafting, but for now back to woodcutting. :P
It's been a long, long two weeks. Right now, I'm halfway through my Principles of Programming Languages class, and one of the assignments involves writing a Tentaizu puzzle solver. For those that are unfamiliar with it, Tentaizu (Celestial Map) is a numbers' game with a 7 by 7 grid of numbers dotted around it, and the objective is to fill the map with ten stars that satisfy the rules of its boundary. For instance, a number 0 denotes that 0 stars are allowed in the eight or so squares around
Sometime on Saturday, I re-injured my lower back. Not sure how, but experience tells me the smallest thing can set it off. This is the worst it has ever been, meaning I sat in a chain in pain all Sunday. Missed church, dang it! So, I played RS. I decided to quest. I must have done ten quests! All novice quests except Wolf Whistle are done, all Intermediate except Spirit of Summer are done. 256 QP! "Only" 22 quests left, several of which I can't do due to lack of Summoning.
I felt artsy today and thus drawing took priority over homework (as usual). This means I get to wake up at 8am to finish my homework but that's okay. I told myself I was going to draw a realistic person for once so I started off with a black and white sketch just to see if it would work. I am ACTUALLY going to finish this one I promise :P So here's what I have so far: Everything will be much more refined in the coloured version (and the lighting will be a bit better) but Peter said I s
On Saturday 24th October through to 25th (Sunday), there was an expo. The MCM, or the Movies, Comics and Media expo. It was held at the London ExCeL center, and wow. It was absolutely amazing. I arrived at 7am and waited in a que until 7:45am. After, we had to que until 9:30am to buy our tickets (teaches me to bludey not get tickets in advance). After getting our tickets, we went into another que and FINALLY got in at 10am. It was an amazingly large hall. Giant posters filled the ceiling, an
Hey blog readers... The other night I paged through my old mining blog till morning and it brought back many fond memories. I had only just been a RuneScape player for a few months and was already enamored with the game. I had made some very dear friends who have now retired or are not as active as before (namely John Cable14 and The Foo 1000 <3:). 99 mining was a goal that seemed far off and to me it would be an endless journey that would keep me committed to playing RuneScape. I was
It has been a long time since I updated this blog, so I'll give you the heads up: Got 85 Farming (Epic milestone for my 90 goal) Got 83 Mining (Gotta love you penguins!) Got 89 Woodcutting Broke the 10m milestone profit from solo merch (About 11,4m at the moment without counting a 500k loss) Right now I'm trying to merch a new item, see how it goes ^^
