Quite true that players without a crown have to make up their opinion by those a few tens of P-Mods that they have met in game, while not really having a chance to know much about actual P-Mod community with thousands of P-Mods. However, they are still free to have their opinion. As for the time, before I resigned as a P-Mod - I was never really worried about those a few P-Mods that abuse their powers or fail quite badly at modly behaviour as they usually get dealt with rather quickly. What buged me was those a few P-Mods that don't do anything wrong, but ignore a good old motto: "It's nice to be nice" and make the day a bit bitter that way (Though, not the reason why I resigned) - for instance th3_0ld_p03t's reply. Though P-Mods are players before mods, they aren't given this title only becouse of recognition - there's a few more, starting from being first class example, while carrying this voluntary burden of extra attention (which usually isn't a problem).

That's a shame, if you add up all the levels he seems f2p. This is the same for the person "reneinkehra" which i didn't put up here since he was/is a member. Reneinkehra has managed to be P2P without gaining any exp in P2P skills, but Brett_69er has 15 extra exp from P2P skills according to RScript's !f2p% command, so not exactly the same.

I'd say why not except improved fighting animation. RSC had its blood anymation and it didn't make the game look better in general. Suppose less violent violence makes this game into RuneScape, if comparing with something else. Aging is also doubtful, I'd see a point when it would be a parameter to show how long one has played this game (either online time or time since creating an account), like now you can wear bunny ears or scythe to show how long you've been around. Though, some would like to hide how long they have played the game and would have to make new characters or it would make Jagex lose players, so yes, doubtful. With rebirth, sorry, I don't see a point in it. What really attracts me is the clan bank, especially as a part of PvP minigames, but why not for clans which events and supplies don't involve PvP as well. It would of course involve many many tiny little details and regulations to think about, which would get us too far away from the actual idea, so I don't come up with my suggesions on it. However, it has to be based on in-game clan registration and Mod Ash has stated that with current game engine it's way too tricky to code if not impossible, sadly.

Indeed, nothing to argue about, just have to go and see how it works. As it has been stated for a couple of times: Only thing wrong with Bounty is that it's non-multicombat area. I quite loved the minigame before they messed it up and also made it into RWIT-ers heaven. After getting use to the place it was actually quite similar to old wilderness, you could run quite proper pk trips there with your clan / team, while penalties made it even more fun. Now it's soloers land and can't really compare soloing with clan pking, not to mention the terrible atmosphere where most of pkers have studied how to blame others for praying / eating and whatever. Most reasonable would be to come back with multicombat Bounty and not allow trimmed items there to make RWIT-ing even harder. And to show complaisance towards soloers have current no-multi Bounty separately as well, where you can't gain loot... would do that if I were god of this game.

There has never been an update that could actually make me upset or that I couldn't cope with. Though, talking about perfect updates. In past, one I can think of was the addition characters such as "ö, ä, õ, ü". Perfect update that I'm looking for is the proper clan support, which involves clan registering, clan banks, all other carefully worked out details and thanks to that minigames more similar to previous wilderness. (They say it's too tricky to do nowadays if not impossible...)

Clan Rules Before RuneScape Rules, Or Vice Versa?
Tonis replied to MicroLegionnaire's topic in General Discussion
Both, game rules and clan rules should apply to clan members equally. Though, reporting a clan mate is a bit unethical. It should have been dealt inside the clan first. Eg someone pointing to language problem in clan and coming up with suggestions and wishes to fix it. Or it being reported to clan's authorities and offender being punished with rank loss or something or even with kicking from clan. On the other hand, I feel sorry for your friend's clan if its rules nor authorities don't care about language issues (Would even suggest better clans in this case). However, if it already happened that the offender was reported ingame, I as a clan leader definitely wouldn't punish the one reported a clan mate as after all the offender was the one who made a hardcore mistake. While it's even more important to consider that some people around might / will not consider your joke funny, especially when they are offensive. -
Unlike many others, Jagex at least trys to make difference and considering the scales of this game, not too little difference at all. After all, someone has to give a good example to others. The whole Interent with only mature people around, without thinking whether it's ever going to happen or not, is a nice aim for sure.
-
An error in your conclusions is that non of the people who can be considered mature use the language which use consider "mature." Unlike a few other (part of those who are behind these spammed up posts under Rants forum), mature grown-ups and mature kids know how to behave. I understand it's hard to understand all updates of more than half a year at once, unless you work them through very carefully. So, after previous non viable trys, late last year's updates were their viable method to deal with bots, which is also over other's 90% success. While it's quite likely that at the end this 90% acts like the wiser 10% part, remember, we noticed a few significant drops in number of bots before last solution in RuneScape as well. It, viable solution, had its consequences, even my own gaming excitement got hurt pretty badly, but that's what being understanding is all about, after all, I, regular play, won from these updates as well, not only lost. I for example enjoy random event minigames and quite likely I'm not the only one. Though, they probably do something about randoms now, if they already didn't, keep an eye on future updates. The way this game is run, makes it RuneScape. Otherwise I could go and play these other games you named as well.

Makes me wonder how many players actually do know, that items' prices change all the time (only not, when there isn't a player willing to sell an item for other than average price and anohter one to buy it). So prices are changing acording to what? Right answer is the price at what items are being offered and bought. And ones who offer and items there in Grand Exchange are the players themselves - ones who "are making" the prices. How could the know exactly the right price, when noone yet doesn't know wheter it's going to be popular item or not, and even if they do know, then still not how popular. So it is highly understandable that brand new items must be given a few time to find their place on price line. True, there must be a price this certain item never reaches, so you can't ask a price which is way over its true value and still impossible to say that the price is fixed. Anyways, funny to see one coming up with an idea based on nothing and everyone come after it, while knowing very little about the topic itself.
-
As stated, prices are based on players' offering and demand - one of the basics of Grand Exchange. If this new item has very high demand it's price will obviosly rise, takes time, but it will. When the demand stays it will start to rise even faster as people can offer even more over average. Silly to blame Jagex for it, when players started to set "their own" price at the moment all those new items were released. I'm not happy with many new prices, which I've to use to sell my items and still, you are the one who should be happy as these are exactly the prices which players have set (what they are setting).

Right you are, especially funny to see people thinking that using offensive language makes you them look more mature. Having rule 1 is a principled matter, with or without censor, so it's nice to see that the game is run by acutal mature people. About 1/4 of lines I say Estonian have asterisks in it and it yet doesn't stop me to easily cope with it. Hope offences lovers also manage to grow up on one day, well sure they do, life is just right there to teach them, only have to be wise enough to understand what life is trying to tell them. Yes, acting like some under 13 years old inteligent kid is also a possibilty. That's how it's not only the matter of what your PC can ran, whether to play RS or Wow, it's also how things are run in two kind of role playing societies, on a more or less inteligent way, games have their standards for one's who play these, standars which doesn't have a lot to do with player's age.

Just checked Alexa. Never knew there were so many Lithuanians and Estonians playing :anxious:. It says the top 5 runescape countries by perentage of traffic base are: 1. US: 24.4% 2. Lithuania: 9.4% 3. UK: 6.1% 4. Estonia: 5% 5. Canada: 4.5% Well, it's becouse you probably don't know how Estonian sounds. It's the language you always see others speaking, having ÃÆÃâÃâö, ÃÆÃâÃâü, ÃÆÃâÃâä and ÃÆÃâÃâõ in it (hearing last one, you know it's not Finnish) :P Sorry about the statistics and the thing we live to play :D

rule 11 - is it really beneficial to RuneScape?
Tonis replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
Just a "minor" logic mistake: Who are the ones you need to tell the address of the helpsite? - Ones who yet doesn't know it. Even if Jagex makes a list of acceptable helpsites (which they don't: they have chosen to make Knowledge base of their own and as we now even well known help sites suffer from serious security issues from time to time) people who know sites on list have no need to ask for addresses as they would already know. So one being told address of the helpsite can't tell if one trying to help him out is up to good or not. -
Runescape Community - a Self made problem?
Tonis replied to Sy_Accursed's topic in General Discussion
Exactly, although most of others proably won't better themselves, it's worth to try for every individual to blame others less. For example I manage very well without blaming anyone (Only ones who blame others and only in my mind). Good quality about chidren is that cruelty against others is not fully developed in them as they have spent too few time in "real world", so it's very hard to belive that those blamers are mostly chidren. Blaming others (also chidren) is also sign of immaturity. -
Again, most people don't "hate" Jagex. Hate is a pretty strong emotion. A lot of people have valid complaints, though. Suppose you didn't read the article (its title), word "hate" is used in figurative meaning in it.
