Put it this way- the higher the mage, the more spell you have. For example for P2P, 94 is ice barrage hitting a 3x3 square with 30 max. Thats 270 damage on 9 player total there. There is, true, D2H that can be the same as melee to ice barrage, but it have a special bar while the mage can continously barrage, the fighter can only spec when the bar is maxed. If you want higher damage, have Jagex make recharge or being able to hit something like stunning a monster. Then, we talk about more damage. IF mage can hit higher with high magic level, meleer and rangers will complain. Balance one side of the triangle, another side complain. Simple as that. I saw some people house luring in RSC(Runescape Community forum) where I hanged before I got unbanned. I saw something like-PvP mode! Then they got kicked when near dead, then I saw some stuff on floor outside the house, where they collect the loot. They got some real nice loot from the people, I think the best was a green party.
