This is one project I'd love to attempt, but I have a theory about them that kinda keeps me away for a bit. Maybe on a rainy day... Very impressive : Keep it up, I'd love to see a collection of them all.

The viewing orbs can be used as safe spots if your opponent is immobile. I'll bet you can't kill an enemy, ranger or meleer, without taking any damage as a meleer.

Sad that you lost it, but I suppose that's what we get for living in a padded world. 3-4 years ago, you didn't leave a bank with a handful of law runes on you incase something happened. Now-a-days, with hoe teleport and gravestones, no situation is dangerous enough, unless you DC or fight chaos elemental on a PvP world.

Lovely Guide. I used to chompy hunt quiet frequently, and you wrote a wonderful guide to justify that this is just for fun, no rewards, no exp, just relaxing fun. It seems odd to me, however, that you place your toads about 5 spaces away from the swamp, I always had the superstition that you needed to place them on the brown patches of earth ;) Thank you for this, and I think I might rebirth that project of 4,000 kills.

You're confirming what I'm said earlier. You said mages now use a weapon and unleash a few melee hits to get them to switch armors/prayers and expose their weak spots in doing so. Great strat, I admit. But why does a meleer not have to do this? He can just keep right on using melee no matter what the situation is. [*:29eubq45]A meleer does not necessarily need to hybrid to succeed. [*:29eubq45]A ranger does not necessarily need to hybrid to succeed. [*:29eubq45]A mager will need to hybrid to succeed because his attacks are inadequate. Although I still don't agree with the concept of a hybriding mage because the thing that's hybriding is not a mage, but a meleer/ranger hybriding by using magic every once in a while. Also, the staff of Zuriel is discounted from the scenario because it's expensive, rare, and impractical. Dragonhide armor is very practical. THE "TOO LONG, DIDN'T READ" VERSION: Dragonhide armor needs to subtract from melee attack bonuses. This would be consistent, and it would also be fair. Since when was 1.6m expensive, especially to a magician? Magic does NOT need to hybrid. Why? Rune pures were/are idiots. After you kill them once with magic, they will come back to you, without hides or a bow, as Ralph Wiggum posted on page 3. By the way, meleers do need to hybrid to be successful. I've hardly ever been beaten by a guy who only used metal armor. Mages aren't harmless, they are just tactical and tricky to understand and utilize at first. Go out and try some tricks, I think you'll change your tune. No name calling, no harshness, just a suggestion.

Erm, I range and Mage. *points at signature* Yep, solo hilt when they were 141m and a magical combat guide. Can melee kill 7 people at once? All of whom are attacking you? Magic can. Range is cheap and extremly effective in both PvP and PvM. I infact no longer own a whip, no use for it. If I don't have a bow/staff/wand, I'm wielding my gold castle wars sword. Melee is useful, but it doesn't blow away any other class. Want proof? PM me, and suit up for combat.

Prior to contrary belief, black d'hide doesn't provide as much defence as you'd think, against magic. A good mage, with proper bonuses and spells, can easily take down a meleer with dragon-hide. And if you can't seem to hit, switch to your secondary weapon. If they are going to hybrid, you should too. Dragon Claws can hit 72s or so, and AGS can hit 78s, but they are useless if you aren't 1 square away from them. If your opponent is using range, range them back with a long distance weapon, or lure them into a safe spot. I can assure you, even armadyl doesn't block all magical attacks, so you'll always have a chance to do some damage. Heh, i WISH that barraging only costed 100k an hour. Yes, it is expensive, but it is fun, and you pay for a HUGE bonus. Have you ever killed 9 people in pits solo? When they all pile you? Only with magic, I'll assure you. WAIT A MINUTE EVERYBODY! Magic had an update that helped out the magician considerably. With the massive attack bonuses of the arcane shield conjoined with defensive bonuses make it the BEST item in a magician's shield slot. That was only a few months ago. And don't throw any "It's 70m, no way anyone will afford that!" at me. When the first whip was sold, it was for around 150m, and, 4 years ago, 150m was massively more then, with no GWD. You pay for the best.

For cheap, quick, and situations where healing isn't needed, bunyip or a fighter familiar. GWD or mithril dragons, fruit bat all the way. 80 healing in one spec bar. Slightly better then the 45 hp for the unicorn scroll bar. And don't tell em about micro-management, I can keep up my attacking pace while picking up papayas.

They sell on the GX easily enough. if you buy hides and tan, its 2.5 gp per exp loss If you buy leathers, it's a 4.8 gp per exp loss. Speed vs. Cash

Ah, so cool. Plenty of action each day, I love it 8-) I'm itching to go to GWD, I have the next week off, so, if you don't mind, maybe I can tag along. Runite mining gets so dull, and I have 400 or so fruit bats that need to see some action. Keep up the goals and good drops! :thumbsup:

Only use Karil's cross for low defence armor/opponents, or when utilizing combos. *points at sig*

Using a Mac and not much of a techno-geek, I don't know how to create and film movies or Gifs I wouldn't reccomend darts or knives, as they are very fast, and you might attack twice with knives after you blitz, making your instant spell not stack. It MIGHT work with a magic short bow, but, once again, I'm so sure. As I said in my closing words, go out and have fun trying it yourself.

Combat: Ice or Shadow Barrage, but i'd have to say Ice, so practical. Non-combat: Hm... I'd have to say SpellBook Swap, It is so much fun with clues

When I realized none of my friends were boss hunting anymore (most of the good ones left) I got 85 mining. Making a steady 500k an hour now, on my own, pretty easily. One door closed, pried open a trapdoor.

I do, I find it rather interesting. A few years back, I saw a person at Entrara, took a picture for some odd reason, and looked em up. Was one of the top 50 players at the time. It's just neat, and it gets you in tuned with other people in a sense, makes you think about how other people play.
