In multi-combat, piling is fine. But I'm more upset how everybody in Clan Wars or Fight Pits( i know it's multi, but if you only ask 1 person to fight, you should only fight 1), even if you ask for a 1 vs 1 fight, nobody honors it, and you are piled just for being a mage.

If you mean 'respect' by 'not farcasting', that's like saying the melee player can 'respect' you by not wearing armor. Farcasting is a built in advantage for mages, DESIGNED for them. Do you think Jagex put ice barrage in just for the pretty animations? Trust me, I'm a firm believer in using any tactic or opportunity you can to win. Perhaps we have different speculations on respect. You don't respect somebody by PJ'ing or piling on a fighter who is only using what his combat class is. Mage's are the only class that isn't respected, as nobody thinks they can actually fight, and, because of it, pile them.

You can respect your opponent without letting him live.

CoinShare birthed many mediocre boss hunters, and tainted the game because of it. That, and summon. But summon was a good update.

Currently 300k exp away from 99 Range, I was wondering how to speed up my normal training. I have not and will not chin, buy a cannon, or use pest control. I was thinking about range tanking Nechs in Chaos Tunnels with a forge regent for extra exp, and using Guthan's to heal. Would the regent add enough extra exp to make up for the usage of Guthans, or should I stick with safe spotting? Thank you

I've used every godsword save Armadyl, though I have held the hilt. ZGS and SGS were my favorite, BGS was fun, but usefulness wasn't great. If I had a choice, I dunno which of the two I prefer. They are totally different. I'd say i enjoyed SGS more, but if I was to buy one back, it would be ZGS

Elastic arm. That would be more helpful in combat when you are frozen and can't reach your opponent. Why did they give it to us for woodcutting?

Was tempted to say these, but thought you'd hunt me down :roll: The Seercull is a great weapon FOR magicians, as it lowers opponent's magic defense. God cape's from Mage Arena aswell, as they are the best thing in cape slot of magician's, not Fire Cape.

There are already to many barrows sets in circulation, but I do agree. I was hoping that Dragon would have bonuses to trump Barrows, but, alas. I can understand why Barrows was released when it was, but atleast make 3rd Age Amazing armor, aswell as it's beauty. There does need to be show-off armor, but there also needs to be practical armor beside the 3-4 year old Barrow sets.

Hence old Pk'ing tactics. Smart palyers would take higher ground, as you could see your opponent before they could see you, and they cannot click on you if you are up on high enough ground.

The only problem with Magic is that people don't treat is as a combat class. If a Meleer or Ranger attacks somebody, most people won't use protection prayers against them, and they won't be teamed. Magic however, everybody slaps on Magic Protect and, even if it was a 1 on 1 fight, nobody honors it. You'll get tagged for using Magic and teamed, while, in normal situations, that wouldn't happen in Ranger/Melee fights. Magic has great power, people just need to realize and respect it.

Blood Barrage is very inaccurate, and not as good in 1 vs 1, but it can help. It's very slow, can easily be combed with ice barrage. Blood barrage is pretty accurate and very helpful for 1 v 1 after you've used shadow to reduce meleer's attack by 30% and smoke to poison, if your not allowed to move 1 square over (duel arena weird rules I've never played by is the only place I could think of) for ice barrage. Blood blitz also works if your worried about accuracy. Good to know it's slow. Meh, if they drop, i'll look into this. Blood Barrage can help, but shadow is much more accurate, but it only lowers attack by 15%, not 35, as you said.

Considering I just mess around in Clan Wars, Pits, Castle Wars, and other mini-games, I don't really have any serious reason to purchase it. By the way, is miasic barrage slow or instant? Blood Barrage is very inaccurate, and not as good in 1 vs 1, but it can help.

Dragon isn't practical armor. It is for show, while providing decent defense bonuses.

I don't factor in Miasic Spells just yet. I've never used them myself, plus, at the cost of the staff, I doubt I shall. Call me close minded if you want, but they aren't practical just yet. However, there are still PLENTY of ways to destroy your opponent using Magic smartly.

I play for fun. I find fun in minigames. I'd quit if I lost minigames.

If a friend swears, he has a bad day. If i see some body swear ingame, i tell them that I'll report if they do it again. And I do if they say it again. When it comes to friendship, it all depends. Would you report your friend who you know is drinking and driving, or would you wait for him to wreck and kill somebody?

With no movement, magicians are at a disadvantage, unless it is multicombat. Blood Barrage combine with defensive items such as DFs and Verac helm can keep a magician's hitpoints up for very long amounts of time. In 1 on 1 with no movement, of course a mage is at a disadvantage, but he can still pull through.

the only "tactic" you could really use is to farcast and range or crap like that. -.- The only tactic? Your ignorance astounds me. Using only magic, I can destroy ANY Meleer with a godsword. If your opponent is frozen, their damage output is reduced to 0. So much for those 77 with AGS. Also, using magic and NO range defense, I can kill a ranger, but it helps to have a secondary weapon with you. Farcasting isn't crap. And i can't go into great deal, I've been asked to keep information secret. Trust me, melee might have Godswords, but rangers and Magicians are far from being harmless. Anything but.

To all who say construction is useless: House/B2P Tablets, Prayer Alters, Glory teleports, infinite normal magic and Canifis teleports, and extra storage space. Fire making is good for shade/vyre burning, or pyre ships. I'd classify it as an extra, but I personally despise the skill.

No, they shouldn't raise Karils to 80. It is fine for what it is used for: Magic Defense. And if you wanna reduce damage input on you, raise your defense.

Well 'Allo! It's been awhile since we've talked, and it's neat so see you now, especially after I was thinking about a House Re-vamp. Best of luck to you, maxing out your house! It's a good project to keep you busy, either making money or running back and forth building furniture. Sounds fun too! I haven't done much with my house since I got 90 construction, but it looks like you're still going strong! So what if Jagex favours one class? Doesn't mean it's powerless. Use tactics. Meleers just run and hit, so out-smart them. If you can't do that, then you will die. Smarts can win fights. Use your brain more than your spells and bolts, you'll do fine.
