  1. 2*5*3*919 = 27570 :shades: (Cut short by a prime... Dang!) Wow... I totally missed the comment for the palindrome back there... Shame on me. #-o ~D. V. "I can't believe I missed that!" Devnull
  2. Granted, but it leaves a sun-blocking layer of icy-cold stuff in the air, all the way up for several miles in the atmosphere. This results in a whole section of the planet around you turning into a chilled, desolate wasteland. Time to relocate, I guess? :? I wish nobody on this planet could ever be an [wagon] towards anyone else ever again. The mental climate of our planet needs a serious cleanup. ~D. V. "I've seen ugly tempers..." Devnull (p.s.: Damned censor... Just when I don't need it...)
  3. Even worse, if she hasn't played in a while, then there's that ugly up-to-650 MB download to reload the game's local cache image. That's about 30% of her data limit right there. I know about this one because I used to check that data cache in my own disk file areas every so often... Really annoying when I would have to wait for the whole thing to rebuild. ~D. V. "Oh, the headaches I don't miss..." Devnull
  4. 27572 bags of Ruffles on the wall, 27572 bags of Ruffles... :P ~D. V. "Thinking of Potato Chips..." Devnull
  5. Welcome to the Tip.It (aka: Rune Tips) Community, @Mike351025. Please enjoy your stay, watch out for the lunatics, and come play in the Forum Games! Yes, of course, don't forget to check the rest of things out... LOL! BTW, due to our changes with the forum software from PhpBB 2/3 to IPB, we now have Display Names. Feel free to get yourself a Display Name that you find more to your tastes. Admittedly, your login name won't change, but having a display name that's different can shield it, even if only a little. :) ~D. V. "My siggy's out-of-date..." Devnull
  6. Banned because it isn't a delusion, due to the fact that invincibility is only linked to my online self, and NOT my offline self. Generally speaking, when I set up an action event, I'm assuming it's only happening to our online selves, instead of our offline selves. :ugeek: ~D. V. "Yes, I get to übergeek on you..." Devnull
  7. I'm thinking she doesn't have that much money... Still a fun thought, however. ;) ~D. V. "Yeah, that's too pricey..." Devnull
  8. <*stands up, showing the injury was just simply the wind being knocked out of him from the weight only being partially buffered by his personal shielding*> Banned because I'll be just fine. ;) ~D. V. "You think that would really injure me? Think again!" Devnull
  9. 52*1103 = 27575 ~D. V. "Yeah, another big prime in the breakdown." Devnull
  10. Oops, Blaze and Gandalf... You're both 270 counts too high... :P No getting pwned for you, though, seeing as I was distracting you. ;) Have you never heard of a thing called "rounding up"? That's common in math and that's what I did. Actually, you rounded down... At least, that's what I got when I checked the math as posted. Anyway... 27584 ...and one of you gets to eat the prime number next. ~D. V. "That is, if anyone posts within the next 24-48 hours or so..." Devnull
  11. 27587 ~D. V. "I have no idea how to start dividing this..." Devnull
  12. If you're using FireFox, check  https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/ and  http://noscript.net/ for more info on NoScript and how it works... If you're using Chrome or one of the other major browsers, you'll need to search around as I don't know of corresponding extensions for them. BTW, if/when you have NoScript (or a matching equivalent) loaded, you might find a little under-the-hood tweaking is useful to get fine-grained control of a couple functions. Please make sure to read any/all documentation that you can find, as it will really help you make it run how you want/need. :) Heck, it might even have fixed a page for me that was being a pain, even though I'm not 100% sure on that count. I still have yet to go back and do some testing. :-k My sincerest apologies, but it would help to know what browser you're using, otherwise this question might not be possible to answer. :( Just curious, but how hard is it to control what sections and pieces of your cache are cleared at any given time? You could indeed use someone else's internet to pre-download data before you're somewhere that you would have to use the dongle, which would render using the separate RS client program generally unnecessary. :geek: Good advice from vmser here... I second this. Another item I second, but with a caveat... Don't let RSS Feeds auto-load and/or auto-refresh in the background. Always load them manually. Auto-Load/Auto-Refresh can, and likely will, sip bandwidth from your data limit right out from under you. :uhh: I'm using a dongle, thats like unlocking mobile 2G or so for laptops xD Heh... You two just made me think of the days of grueling slow 56K... What a pain those were. BTW, Miss Lioness, you might find... :XD: ...useful over "xD" for that nice laughing emote that looks like... ...on the screen. ;) ~D. V. "Slow Net /w Limits... Madness..." Devnull
  13. <*sees a train of huge Pokéballs suddenly roll past and run Alg over*> Banned because it looks like you've just been hit-and-run-over by a ballsy situation. ~D. V. "That has to hurt..." Devnull
  14. 3*17*541 = 27591 ~D. V. Devnull
  15. From a fellow Tip.It'er, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! How old are you now? ^_^

  16. Banned for not prefixing that with "Banned because"... :P ~D. V. "Being a joker about nitpicking..." Devnull
  17. Avoid social networks, anything else with live streams, and anything that will download massive amounts of data (such as upward of ~1 MB-4 MB in one go) like huge flash applets and java applets. Heck, you'll probably have to avoid RuneScape until you have better internet, due to the large data chunks that load when you're changing areas, as well as what happens with every single game update. :( Don't clear your cache, but never let it fill up large areas (like, 3 GB, which is way beyond too much) of your computer's hard drive either. A maximum of 140-160 MB(Slow computers)/256 MB(Midrange Computer)/384 MB(High-End Computer) of disk space for your browser's cache is honestly all that's necessary and can be used without suffering real performance issues, and that's at a level where you can let the browser auto-determine when it needs to clear parts of that space for other data. Anything more is normally literally a waste and will slow things down, as I've come to learn the hard way, so only use more if you really have to. I would suggest turning off display of images on sites (If you even still can...) unless you need to see them, or you will eat up a good chunk of that data limit. Also, use AdBlock Plus and NoScript to keep the extraneous junk scripts/ads/widgets out, in order to make a reactive defense against those, or your data limit will be reached extremely quickly. (Yes, I admit you'll have to manually control AdBlock Plus and NoScript, but the payback on lack of junk is well more than simply worth it, and you even get to see all of what a page really doesn't need. You may even find it scary, being that there are tons of analytics companies that are profiling you while you're not even looking at what pages load, and even to an extent where you lose bandwidth from background auto-pings!) :geek: I hope all my thoughts here help you in some way, and good luck at the university that you're going to! ~D. V. "Trying to help beat away bandwidth drains..." Devnull (p.s.: Just for reference, those junk ads/scripts/widgets out there have forced me to build a total of 1414 active filters in my AdBlock Plus build... but all that work has saved me a lot of time!)
  18. <*watches Blaze step outside of the Barn, only to have a pair of giant Ultra Balls drop from the sky and land right in front of him*> You're Banned because of issues with big balls? :P ~D. V. "I'm going to be surprised if anyone else can ignore how dirty that sounds..." Devnull
  19. I'm sure there's some decimal places after that... :geek: 24*3*52*23 = 27600 :shades: ~D. V. "At least mine honestly doesn't..." Devnull
  20. Simple... He could have easily made the mistake I've made before, and failed to hit the Post button until long after someone else posted. What's worse, I've actually seen the forum server (and client side forum pages) fail to tell a user of other posts being already present. Danged ugly bug, but excusable once in a rare while. ~D. V. "Of all the things that can make you go 'D'oh!'..." Devnull Only excuse I have is an enriched wisp probably spawned while I was in the middle of posting and I forgot to press enter! I thought as much. That new skill is a real attention-distracter, isn't it? :geek: Yup. :P 2*37*373 = 27602 :? ~D. V. "Especially this one..." Devnull
  21. From a fellow Tip.It'er, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ^_^

  22. Meh, we'll let that post live in the "I Got Ninja'd" Hall-Of-Shame. And I'll probably pwn them on the next one. :P ~D. V. "I'll be grinning then." Devnull Dude, he posted about an HOUR after Gandalf, how can you possibly call that being ninja'd? Simple... He could have easily made the mistake I've made before, and failed to hit the Post button until long after someone else posted. What's worse, I've actually seen the forum server (and client side forum pages) fail to tell a user of other posts being already present. Danged ugly bug, but excusable once in a rare while. :geek: 3*9203 = 27609 <-- Ugh... freaking oversize prime number!!! #-o ~D. V. "Of all the things that can make you go 'D'oh!'..." Devnull
  23. Granted, and everything that was thought to be cute never gets noticed ever again. Such results in the word "cute" being removed from the dictionaries, both slang and normal. :( I wish nobody could ever lie again, especially in a malicious manner. :P ~D. V. "Let's see how this is handled......." Devnull
