99 prayer is awesome, I love having it, Hate what the cape carries along with it though. It took me 4 months from 89-99 having all the bones banked, that just shows how dedicated I am xD. You're doing well keep it up sure you can get it in 10 days at that rate :D

Haven't you realised how the good comunity of rs has all left? Most of my friends have already quited as there's almost no point in keeping playing, the updates are aimed to get more constumers, for a long time people didn't mind this because there was fun stuff to do, but its been a long time since getting a 99 made you special, I remember I was maxed out before PC came out, back then almost everyone i saw was green, now being 126 is a joke, everyone is. I agree with the people that think that mini games have in fact ruined the game making skills far too easy and with no merit what so ever. This game has already died, the main idea of what it was created for has been completley changed, I still play rs as a past time but I think I only play cause of the people I've met here and to kill time.

I've now been playing runescape for about 2 and a half years, I've had very good times but I always hated it when I had no cash, I trained my slayer up and I managed to become a wealthy player. I've had my Phat for over a year now, it has more than doubled I'm starting to wonder, Is it actually worth it to have a hat worth 200m sitting around in my bank over 90% of the time I play? I'm not the kind of person that sits around in bank fletching or alching so, why do I have it? Is it just a matter of status? I think for some people it is - but then I see friends that could be just as wealthy as me but they enjoy skills more than anything else in rs. I started to think about selling my Phat a long while ago, there hasn't been a massive change in prices latley, but oh man, I wouldnt like having 200m cash sitting around in my bank either, especially because I think it'd take alot of interest from the game for me. So what do you think? Is it worth it to have a rare in my bank hanging around and doing nothing else - or should I sell it and have enough cash to do basicaly anything I wanted? Put yourself in my situation, I know there's enough people out there with phats, I see them every time I log on and I'm sure some must be active in these forums.

We could talk about pointless skills forever especially firemaking and hunter, but then again they are just something to do when you're waiting for something. For example I train my firemaking with yews I get from dagganoth kings while i wait for my team to get ready for another trip. Hunter is completley different though - I despise the skill, it has nothing to do with the type of game runescape is in the first place, as you said - It doesn't like itself with another skill - its useless, however we can't forget about the rest of rs players - I think that what jagex wanted to do was create a skill that was not influenced by the amount of money you have, a newcomer could perfectly go and get 99 hunting in 2 months, the probably did this to balance what they did with construction, a skill that was not very popular not by the way you train it but because of the amount you have to pay to level it up. All I can say is that I hope Jagex rethinks their strategy and stops giving us an endless list of uterly random and useless quests and starts working on exiting stuff like the old days, making the game better and not just wasting their and our time with monotonus storylines every 2 weeks. (P.s I just read what I wrote and the last paragraph is out of topic, sorry :P)

I have so much respect for people that actually train runecrafting that way and not just pay 50m and no life 3 months for 91 and quit at 92. lol. Can't agree with you selling everything for a phat but oh well, thats just me - lol you got on your feet pretty soon from what I've seen, getting that yellow and so forth hehe. Anyway keep it up, Im actually thinking about rcing some in the summer so who knows, might end up going for the big 91 hehe. Best of luck with that 99, not that much left you can do it!

Gets annoying though, I work and work on my lvls and god, its so hard to get them, I'm not even sure about if i enjoy doing it or if i just still play cause of the people that i've met through rs.

Hehe thats similiar to what I did with my prayer and range, got them within 5 minutes :D But yeah, I can see your point, I myself grow my own herbs for dks, not in the mass production you do but its still quite enjoyable and worth it, especially cause of the huge herblore exp you get and the cash you save, but even at my level it takes forever to gain another lvl without using trees :P

First of all, congratulations on 94 farming :D And about your prayer, if you're determined to get the lvl you could go from 90-99 in a week easly, but take it from an expirienced person, its one tedious task - worst than alching, atleast with farming you get to do other things in the mean while, with prayer you dont. I took it with pateince, bought the bones in advance (lucky me i got most of the bones for 1.45k, autoers ftw - lol) and took my time, 4 months between 89-99 prayer(1 between 98-99) :P If i were you I'd combine both - farming and prayer, prayer trips between the harvesting, should work well and atleast you distract yourself with something in between. Anyway keep it up! :P nice to see someone training such a hard skill and not just complaining.

Right now, you're the only one being disrespectfull, and pies were a mistake - took the whole point of getting your slayer up. Jagex has made loads of mistakes the last year, now I know what kind of people agree with jagex and don't worry, I wont sink to your lvl...

Shouldn't take credit for something you've failed to achieve fully. I find it wierd people look at a whip proudly after they get it as drop from an Abyssal Demon at 80 slayer. Did it the same way as you - but i got my bones from 82-90 - I almost quit then, so i just bought a couple of bones, 35k :D bought 60-82 when d bones were 2.5...that hurt my pocket back then :P Anyway congratz, you'll get fed up with the cape soon, its just impossible to wear it in peace. :D

Erm - I cant congratulate someone for being lazy and killing a slayer monster without the level required and just by eating pies every minute - get the lvl and then get whips - dont take shortcuts thats just stupid. 1/10

I completley agree with you, Jagex doesn't know how to treat us anymore, useless updates are the main topic in every month's Behind the scenes since early 2006. Like almost everything in life, its better at the begining - look at quests such as Heroes, Legends, DT - I dont think we will be seeing any more of these exiting quests. IÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôm afraid that its our own fault - sites like Tip.it took much fun out of the game - making it easier than actually needed, this is when quests lost their point - when you didnÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôt even need to think to complete the fun ones - how do you expect Jagex to work hard if sites like RuneHq or tip.it bring a quest guide every time a quest is released? Jagex forgot about the skills that already exist, and tried to satisfy us with skill capes - but what they left was a huge hole in the skill - they should make further updates in the higher lvls so that thereÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâôs a larger motivation to alteast get 99's that are usefull for something and not just for a cape. I know its easy to talk - and that I will be critizised for my comments, but its not just Jagex fault, its the comunities fault all together what will end up destroying Runescape.
