  3. Granite looks lame as well.
  4. Fly-fish in Shilo Village. Then, sell the fish to the fishing store for more feathers.
  5. It most certainly is less boring than Ape Atoll, but is it faster exp?
  6. I'm training agility, (still!) and am quite bored with the Ape Atoll course. Is the new Dorgeshuun course any good? Thanks!
  7. Do you need a certain defense level to wield chaps and vamps?

Sad but true (well, the principal is true). Never underestimate the capacity for human greed. :wall: Hey, that greed is responsible for humanity's rise to dominance over the world. Take away greed, you take away incentive to advance. If it weren't for greed, we'd still be sitting in caves, worshipping the sun, and dying at age 20.
  9. EDIT: Sorry for double post.
  10. im a muslim...and i dont like it when people say that muslims in general are all like the taliban or like al-qaeda, which is not true...you probably didn't mean it that way, but say muslim fundamentalists One problem that I have with Islam is that the regular Muslims don't band together to push out the nut jobs. Jihadist imams are BAD. Why not get rid of them? Instead, they ignore them. I'm not angry at Islam for being a haven for terrorism, (which it isn't) but I AM angry when the regular Muslims don't do anything about their nut cases. If a priest tried to declare a Crusade on Saudi Arabia or Iran, I'd be the first one to picket at his doorstep and tell people to isolate him from mainstream Christianity. Why don't Muslims do the same? yeah, and a few reasons Japan didn't surrender after the first one was because they didn't know the extent of the damage at Hiroshima as of 3 days after the blast...and one of the conditions placed by US was for the emperor to abdicate...the Japanese see their emperor as god, and would rather have each and every one of them killed than have their emperor abdicate...i find that abit harsh "Death from the skies" is one of those things that you take literally. If we had taken a fleet of B57s and dropped a few million tons of bombs on them, would it have been any different? Tojo & friends decided that their chokehold on power was worth more than their people, and they paid for it. Also, I'm guessing that not all Japanese would do that for their leader. "Okay, Jimmy, we're going to fight the 1st Infantry Division in the streets!" "Yay! I'm eight and already looking at certain death!" Not happening.
  11. We DID give them a pretty stiff warning to surrender, though. We gave them an ultimatum telling them to give unconditional surrender, or "death would rain from the skies." We were pretty darn nice to give em a warning like that. Nazi Germany sure wouldn't have done that for us. Then, after Colonel Tibbets dropped the first one, we asked AGAIN for unconditional surrender. Tojo & friends refused, so we gave em another one. The deaths at Hiroshima, nasty, but we DID give them warning not to f*** with us. The deaths at Nagasaki? Japan's fault. If we had one nuke, chances were pretty high that we had another one.

I was talking about the bolts, not the grapple. Do I need a new bolt every time I shoot the grapple? Or is the bolt reused?
  13. If you are actually serious about learning guitar, take lessons from a private instructor. Self-teaching is not the way to go.
  14. Nuclear waste is less radioactive than coal ash after 400 years or so. Additionally, even if it did last indefinitely, why not cart it out to the middle of Utah? Salt flats are dry, so there is no moisture, even underground. The result is a safe, uninhabited place to store nuclear waste. Additionally, have you seen photos of how much uranium is used at any given time? Take two of these pellets, and there you go! Perpetual motion in anything larger than subatomic particles violates the laws of physics. Problem with nuclear Well if you use nuclear fusion, you are actually using up more energy than you produce. This, obviously, is a waste. It's quite obvious why only the sun can effectively use nuclear fusion With nuclear fission, there are vast amounts of nuclear waste. What do you do with them? It's been a couple of years since I have studied nuclear power. Please inform me if there is a solution to this problem Actually for nuclear fusion, you get more energy back than what you put in unless your making an element hevier than iron (stars dont produce anything heavyer than iron either, once you get to irion the start kinda goes nova) However, we have no way to duplicate the conditions in stars. We just can't heat up the particles enough. Im not sure what someone meant by this? Did they mean a generator that creates more energy then it takes in? This is impossible as dictated by physics. energy created can never exceed energy used. *Law of conservations is what i meant* Sending it into space would be BAD, for the following reasons. 1. Spent fuel has lots of mass, and therefore is quite hard to get into space. 2. We would have to use enough fuel to get it out of Earth's orbit. Otherwise, the fuel will burn up in the atmosphere, spreading nuclear waste all over the planet. Think Chernobyl, all over the world.
  15. That is total horse faeces. Steaming and fly-ridden, with some undigested grass in it. I'm interested to know where you got that fibrous, tapered nugget of brown. I was right about the 35 hour workweek. 35 hour workweek: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4373167.stm http://regionsofmind.blog-city.com/end_of_the_35hour_work_week.htm http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,951112,00.html (This one is from 1984, but is talking about impeding workweek cuts) You were right about the paid vacation. #-o Paid vacation: http://itotd.com/articles/351/work-week-and-vacation-variances/ http://www.orgcoach.net/newsletter/oct2003.html Sorry, I made a mistake with the weeks of paid vacation. The EU mandates 4 weeks, but several have 5. You were right there. Took 3 minutes of Googling to find that. However, I got the original assertion from Mark Steyn, one of the most [wagon]-kicking master debaters  out there.

When you shoot a grapple, do you lose the bolt that you shot it with? I'm going to do the new agility course, and don't really want to make a large amount of bolts for the fun of it. Thanks!
  17. I love how Europeans bash us for being militaristic when WE pay YOUR military costs so you can waste the money on your 35 hour a week workweek and crazy welfare states. Say we were to pull out of all foreign places. Hooray for genocide, I mean "ethnic cleansing," (mass murder sounds so much better when it sounds like spring cleaning) in Kosovo! =D> Hooray for no relief when some enormous tsunami hits Indonesia again! (your EU "aid" took a LONG time coming) Whatever, we don't want to be a hyperpower anymore. Plus, you have to get rid of your national healthcare because we aren't paying for your military anymore. (or raise taxes, as if they weren't high enough already) Face it, America is the first non-imperial dominant power. Call us imperialists, but I certainly don't see Craterstan and Iraq as the 51st and 52nd states, and neither does Congress. Soon as Iraq gets back on its feet, we're out of there like shotgun pellets from Richard Cheney's gun. If we were imperialists, the Great White North would soon be tasting the lead of the Great Satan. But we don't invade, because we aren't imperialists. Same thing with Mexico. Same thing with France. (they'd surrender in nothing flat) Same thing with Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the U.A.E. If we wanted oil, we'd invade Kuwait, not Iraq. America is looking out for its interests. We're interested in making sure that the people who want to attack America get a taste of the daisy cutter. 8-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now, to your social aspect of hating America. Europeans hate us because we're fat, lazy, ignorant, racist, don't have national healthcare and welfare, and are all Christian Fundamentalists. First of all, yes, we are fat. Your point? Americans work a 50 hour workweek, and many work overtime. Europeans have a 35 hour workweek and have 6 weeks of paid vacation. 'Nuff said. Racism? How about the British National Party? How about its French equivalent? How about the crowds of angry Muslims rampaging through the streets during the Danish Cartoon Riots denouncing freedom as "Western terrorism" and pledging that the "enemies of Islam would drown in their own blood?" Resurgent Anti-Semitism in Germany? The list goes on and on. Meanwhile, we take dramatic steps to phase out bigotry in the South. We might not be able to persuade Billy Bob into knowing that blacks are also people, but we WILL make sure that Billy Bob Jr. does. National welfare? Yeah, we hate that. I, as do many of my fellow Americans, don't like the fact that other people get money for my work. You work, you get paid. You don't work, you live in a cardboard box at the homeless shelter. If you get injured, that's one thing. But just sitting at home and waiting for the check to come in? Hell no, I'm not paying. Without Medicaid and Medicare, America would be a lot better off. Hospitals run a version of their own private welfare, by the fact that they raise prices for those who have health insurance to cover those who don't. Medicare and Medicaid HURT hospitals because the government pays hospitals terrible prices for people who CAN pay, and as a result, the people who can't pay get stuck on the streets. Hooray for socialism! =D> When Europeans get snooty at us for having "bad" (meaning non-Socialist) healthcare, they forget that access to a "waiting list" is not access to healthcare. If I screw up my knee doing gymnastics, I don't want to wait a year and a half for my surgery. And if we were to put in national healthcare, protecting the 40 million Americans without health insurance, those 40 million Americans would join the 260 million Americans who DO. Those 260 million Americans should have the say in the way their money is spent, especially when they watch their healthcare turn from decent to mediocre. But then again, it's "selfish" to try to keep money for yourself. But isn't it even more selfish to live off the money of others? Yeah, we're all Christian Fundamentalists. Maybe the fact that we aren't secularist contributes to the fact that we have a sustainable birthrate, and Europe doesn't. However, we're not all Bible-thumping Evangelists. Just look at each state's Cambridge or Berkeley or wherever "those" (the Latin word "isti" fits perfectly) people hang out. Look at the states that vote blue in each election, (I'm in the most liberal one, and can say that not many people go to church) and you'll see that they aren't that religious. Besides, I'd say that Christian Fundamentalism is a LOT better than Fundamentalist Islam, something that will turn Europe into Eurabia in 50 years, thanks to Europe's Post-Christian birth-rates. Yay! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wikipedia is good for general knowledge, but not citing as fact. The references, however, are generally good. My statistics are gotten from the CIA Fact Book, available in most libraries, and various newspapers (London Times et al)
  18. Wii

you wouldnt use the analog stick as the wii remote is point and click The Wii also has an analog stick on it. How are you going to talk? Emotes? How are you going to type out how much you're going to withdraw from a bank or how much of something that you're going to trade? Certainly not with a click button.
  19. Drop training is only illegal if you do it between your own accounts. I do it with my brother all the time.
  20. Santa. Definitely. It looks a LOT better than the masks, and has a higher market.
  21. If you've done Creature of Fenkenstrain experiments are nice.
  22. Wow, what a real friend.
  23. Was the question how to get 50 mining with time to spare? Power-mine iron. Mining is one of those skills where you bite the bullet and do it, unlike cooking or fletching.
  24. Just saying that you'll get 99 mining is one thing. Actually doing it is quite another.
  25. But the guys with 85 mining actually WORKED, compared to people who wouldn't look out of place in a Chinese poultry-packing sweatshop.
