I'll echo pretty much everyone's sentiment of 'Been there, done it, got through it - cut contact, it's easier for both of you'. Yes, I know you've probably got a Romeo and Juliet complex going on right now, but honestly think about it. It isn't everyone else telling you that you and her can't be together, it was actually your ex-girlfriend herself. And she's gone through with this by going out with someone else for almost 3 months now. She's moved on; she doesn't want to get back with you, or ekse she wouldn't be in a relationship with somebody else. Which begs the question, why is she still keeping in touch? Only two possible answers: 1) She's stringing you along, or rubbing it in your face; 2) She genuinelly wants to be friends, in which case you need to get yourself back in the 'Friend Zone'. The easiest way of doing the latter is to cut contact. Just try it for a week and tell us we're wrong after.

Well if she doesn't know, how the hell are you meant to? Moreover, why does it matter to you - you're not in a relationship any more and this friendship is becoming more tenuous everyday by the sounds of things. Completely unfair question to burden someone else with. You need to be assertive and tell her where you stand, it's only fair for the both of you. She's not letting you move on and if you cave in she'll just keep doing it. Even if it means completely ignoring her, she needs to get the message that at the very most, you and her are no different to any other guy-girl friendship now that you've split up.

I think it depends on how the two people were before entering a relationship. A couple who were friends before who then break up might find the emotional side of things more easier, and might recognise the boundaries between 'friends' and anything else better than two people who didn't really have any sort of friendship before hooking up. My page 1 thoughts are of a console that was incredibly well received by third-party developers and gaming website editors on the E3 floor, but was poorly communicated to the world outside of Los Angeles, hence the level of confusion amongst some posters here.
