  1. You don't get the point... you can say the same thing about normal: "just add them to your ignore list." The point of the matter is, you did something wrong, whether it was a big deal or not, and now you're paying for it. What more do you want? "omg I'm so sorry, you should be able to talk, it's wrong of them to stop you from doing so?" Well I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with everybody else here, and say that you were the idiot that didn't follow the rules, and now you're paying for your mistakes. At least now you know enough not to go spamming, and that's what they want.
  2. It was in the ToS before hand, they just added the age field into the registration for demographic purposes. They wanted to know what ages they were dealing with.
  3. Them killing themselves also does good: it increases GDP, puts more jobs into the economy (somebody has to clean up their mess, and take the job of that guy), any bonds held in the person's name would go to his family, not to mention the sudden availability of all the money that would have been spent on him, both governmental and person. As you can see, what's "beneficial" isn't always so "beneficial." Besides, have you seen the conditions these people work in? People protest against Nike because they have/had kids working in sweat shops? That's nothing compared to these places. imagine a room with about 30 computer, on 24/7, with at least 61 people in the room working 12 hour shifts (30 at a time plus one management type fellow), sleeping in the same room as the computers, not to mention it's probably 80 degrees outside as it is, and why waste money on AC? Like I said, these farming businesses (generally set up by Canadians of all people) are USUALLY there to benefit themselves, and no one else, thus the workers suffer, the gamers suffer, and the game company suffers. So one person gets paid $5 a day for working 12 hour shifts... how is that helping ANYBODY? EDIT: You do realize you have to be 13 to play RuneScape, right? If you don't believe me, try making a new account and say that you are "12 or under" and see what happens... at least, you should have seen already if you didn't lie to Jagex. And by lying to the gaming company, I'm pretty sure that skews the demographic data, meaning that they may think they have older players than they really have, which could be ruining the game for younger kids (13 or 14). So in effect, you really are ruining the game. Good job.
  4. That right there is why Firemaking and Crafting are considered "useless." Everybody is always after the quick buck. Back in RS1, I was a jeweler. I would mine gold in Karamja, and then smelt it in Falador, then make gold rings, and sell them to the shop in Port Sarim.
  5. Quote for truth... I still have my Scythe! I just remember when Santa Hats cost 200k each (I still have one on my RS1 account). Back then, people liked them for their looks, not their worth. Not you have a bunch of greedy 10 year olds autoing everything in sight, and you look back to when you could take a glance and see a good friend of yours at any point in time? Yeah, RS1 was MUCH better than RS2. Granted, when RS2 came out, the community was split. My friend hated RS2, I loved it. How wrong I was.
  6. That speaks more about the people that play the game and cheat, than those that play the game and are honest about it.
  7. Are you perhaps implying that everyone under the age of 15 is stupid? That's quite a stereotypical view of the younger teenager. We are not all idiots. In fact, there are/have been child geniuses out there, who are in fact more intelligent than some adults. I do know that half of the RuneScape population is made up of annoying, little, immature children, but having such black and white views is rather absurd, don't you think? Posts like this annoy me. It's like profoundly stating that all teenagers cannot converse/type in proper grammar, with absolutely NO evidence to back it up. I don't believe I ever said there was a definite link, now did I? If you're going to flame me, at least flame me for things I said, not things you assume I said. There are plenty of elderly in Florida; there is also more crime down there. Am I saying that most old people rob others? I think not. I simply said that there are a good number of both idiots, and young people.
  8. Actually no, because now if there's a safezone on the north side of the ditch, it will give Abyss RCers a bit more of a head-start over the pkers there.
  9. Because most people that do play this game are idiots? Most happen to be under the age of 15 as well, but that's another story. I think this is a great idea to stop luring. It finally makes the wilderness a place of its own, and not just an extension of the world below. This is a great idea on Jagex's part.
  10. You realize that you're being hypocritical, right? Calling someone an idiot, and saying they have no life is just as (as you see it) "bad" as calling someone an RS2 Product. Personally, I played RS1 (I still refuse to call it Classic), and I loved it! For those of you that haven't been able to play it, I feel sorry for you, I really do. It was the age when people couldn't click a level and level up instantly. I'm not saying it's 1 billion times easier to do things now than it was back then but... oh wait, yes it is. Need I remind you that we didn't have Cook-x, much less Smith-x, or Smelt-x, or any of those "..-x" things? We had a small line of text for smithing, not a nice big button that says "CLICK ME!" I'm not saying I'm better than you, but I am saying that it is unbelievable how terrible this game has gotten. Do I blame Jagex? Yes I do. They're a great company, but they made the worst mistake when making this game: to make it easier in RS2. Right when RS2 came out, sleeping bags were thrown away, xp was increased, "-x" features started popping up, and we could now make our own runes! That's something you guys take for granted, runes. Not to sound like your grandparents, but back in my day, we had to kill for runs, literally. You couldn't just go "hmm, I think I'll go pump out a few thousand runes right now" and actually be able to. Five thousand Nature runes was a lot back then, and you were considered a God if you had any more than 10k of them. Moral of the story: stop complaining that we're angry that Jagex messed up the game, just live with it. We'll be angry, and we'll always be angry, too bad for you. If someone calling you an "rs2 product" really makes you that flustered, just go quit now, so you can use all of your time "wasting time" on your life.
  11. Isn't the market already ruined? I think it happened sometime after December 25th, 2001.
  12. It's sad when you call "half an hour" "forever." And you get the smallest pouch from the mage, the others you need to kill for.
  13. I advise no one listen to this guy claiming to be a "software developer." The reason? His English is horrible. Coding, while it doesn't require excellent English, it requires that you have some basic knowledge of the language, and of anything else in general. I am willing to bet that this guy would have done this simply because it looks more like the real deal than somebody wanting to steal your password. Trust me, it's near impossible for a person like that to be a skilled, zero-error programmer. Just take his claims with a grain of salt.
  14. I LOVE this place. Where else can you find idiots of such a magnatude as Tip.it?! The main benefit is: you know who played RS1 and who didn't. Those that played RS1: Generally accept the new update, and appreciate the work Jagex put into it. Those that haven't played RS1: Hate the new update, and are even QUITTING over it! You guys need to get over yourselves. Why should Jagex care about you? Why should they even listen to what you say? They don't have to update weekly, they don't even have to do it at all! They are making so much money off of just the advertisements alone that they don't need your "business" to keep afloat. This is exactly how the community was when RS2 came out. Everyone was so excited before the update, but once the beta came out, people FLIPPED! This is funny as hell, it really is. I can now sit back and watch as you RS2 Products are running around like chickens with their heads cut off just because you don't have the mental capacity to learn that holding "Ctrl" and clicking will allow you to run. Haven't you ever read the Controls page on RuneScape.com? I guess you're just too focused on yourselves to even think that there might be something else to it. Summary: RS2 Products are hilarious, and thicker than any kind of analogy I can come up with.
  15. What about instead of the diamond one, use the dragonfire bolts on the second form? Hitting 50's would be VERY nice...
  16. I was actually able to go up there in RS2! Way back in RS1, before the flowers, the Mithril Seeds (from the Waterfall quest and Legend's Guild) used to spawn trees, normal, regular trees. You could place these trees just 1 block north, and 1 block east of the corner between the bank wall and the bank window, and that window closest to the wall would vanish, allowing you to walk through it. Of course, you couldn't just plant another tree on the other side to get out, you needed to be let out, or teleport out. Of course, this was after the Beta, as in the Beta they allowed you to teleport to Lumbridge with no rune cost, but you couldn't teleport out of the bank with that, I remember because I was stuck for a good 10-15 minutes up there, with no way out. Anyways, we went up the ladder, and discovered that it was just... normal. No item respawns, no cool looking pictures, no sign that Jagex intended it to be a secret. There was a small "safe" in the north-east corner. It was made of a gate, and a fence, which surrounded multiple chests. There was a table in there, but nothing was on it. So once again, there's nothing special up there. And about Durial, it's actually against Jagex rules to be talking about how "cool" he is and all. You can't praise the guy, or else you could technically get your account(s) banned as well. Don't believe me? Go look up rule #9, encouraging others to break the rules. Saying "you're so cool" and "you're a RuneScape legend now" doesn't exactly do well to discourage such actions, now does it? And many times, it will lead to more bug abuse when possible. Remember that guy in 2nd grade that used to beat on the other kids because everyone else thought it was funny? Think of that happening in RS, but now add a lot of time hard spent into the mix, and see how people feel about that. EDIT: Oh, and all that "fine print" does is warn people that you'll report posts to mods. You can't claim that you own the topic since it has been posted on a website other than your own. Anything posted on any forum immediately becomes property of the site, not you. Nice try though.

  18. I work there, and I am working on the script for it. It's in developement stages. I could have it say "this is Lt Wolfe's sig" if you really wanted to, but I figured the "c)wolf2.net" thing kind of did that anyways. My server is open to any scripts calling on the image, so I don't see where it could be blocking anything. Would you know of any solution to this problem perhaps? Or maybe even just knowing what it's blocking specifically? EDIT: There ya go, the second sig there even says "This is Lt Wolfe's sig." heh. Just to prove that it is indeed mine, you can go to here if you'd like.
  19. If that is the case, then why does viewing the image properties show you the dimensions? As well, I have saved it in both .png and .gif formats, so why is it still not working? I can't really "save' the image, as it's dynamic, and it's not meant to be saved, so what am I doing wrong here? And how can I set the dimensions for the image?
  20. Every time I try to add a personally made dynamic signature into my, well, signature, it comes up with this: The image isn't big, it's right here: But for whatever reason, it can't be "controlled." And because of that, it's not very well liked. I'd just like to ask what is wrong with these forums that would cause this. EDIT: Same with this image:
