  1. Yeah, it's all part of the great OOC conspiracy to buy all the rares in Runescape...
  2. We may not be far from the truth in regards to WOM being Saradomin's son. Dionysus (the Greek god) was the son of Zeus. I'm sure TB@JT didn't just pick Dionysus out of the blue, did they? In Roman, Dionysus' name was Bacchus. Does that name or term appear anywhere in Runescape? Also, Dionysus came from Phrygia, in modern central Turkey. Has anyone seen a name similar to Bacchus or Phrygia anywhere? Ikov is reported to be the son of Saradomin also, but nobody has seen or heard from Ikov, and nobody knows what he looks like. Iban was brought back to life by a witch who used "the four elements that bring life" on a doll of Iban. The elements are blood, flesh, shadow, and conscience. Interesting? I think so. That symbol looks like 3/4ths of a circle with an arrow at one end. And yay for 1000 posts! I don't know what our official world is, if we have one. We jump around a lot.
  3. I'm not going back until my combat level is 126. :P For some reason, when people go into the wildy, they leave their rationality behind. Anyway, that sword looks remarkably similar to the sword in the Runescape logo in the log in screen. Probably just a Jagex cookie. The Lumbridge church also did not have any similar windows. I might look around at the Port Sarim church and the Varrock church, too. I swear, I've seen that window somewhere outside of the wildy.
  4. Sure, we can try world 96 this time, and the times are the same as last week, too!
  5. I looked back through the old letters and found that Zaros was probably not a Mahjarrat at all. It said that the Mahjarrat, when they first came to Gielinor, decided to follow Icthlarin. Then Zaros arrived from Freneskae (doesn't mention him being a Mahjarrat) and the Mahjarrat abandon Icthlarin and follow Zaros, whom they think will not enslave them the way Icthlarin did. However, Zaros *did* enslave them, during the first God War, and many of the Mahjarrat revolted, led by Zamorak. Zamorak slew Zaros with the Staff of Armadyl and Zaros, as he was dying, put a curse of immortality on Zamorak. So, Saradomin may not have been a Mahjarrat, but he still came from Freneskae. Guthix came from somewhere else, I imagine. I still want to find out from members the story behind the Mourners and what they're doing.
  6. Actually, this one link came right off of the official forums: This is the page that quoted the forums:Here Sorry I couldn't find the link to the official topic. Some forum thread Hmm...that seems to be it...But I'm glad I found the one from the official forums, I hadn't seen that one before.
  7. I'm going to look around and see if I can find anything backing that site up, but they *seem* to be well-informed... EDIT: Confirmed: Saradomin WAS, at one point, a Mahjarrat. I cross-checked it with 6 other sites. It really makes sense, when you think about it. That's why the remaining Mahjarrat hate Saradomin so much, because they see him as a traitor. I don't see any of them hating Armadyl, since he also stands for things contrary to most Mahjarrat. I'm guessing Saradomin was the first Mahjarrat to quit and leave Freneskae, and come to Gielinor.
  8. If you want to, my name also has an E in it somewhere. Just kidding. I've been thinking about writing my own little story about the investigation when it was said and done, but oh well. You beat me to it! =D>

Even though Stalin came BEFORE Hitler, and killed more people in his reign than Hitler did...
  10. If you want, I go by "KCHughes" I just read that article about the Mahjarrat on the previous page. Really interesting. But it says that Saradomin was once a Mahjarrat. This really opens up a whole new can of worms. Zamorak became a god, and Saradomin became a god before him? It seems to be shaping up so that anybody with half a brain can become a god. I also found that on the same article, Zamorak is currently banished somewhere for breaking Guthix's truce. The truce was set up to END the first God War, so Zamorak must have broken it sometime afterwards. First of all, what could Zamorak have done to break the truce? Second of all, this proves that Zamorak cares nothing for Guthix's treaty. He broke it once, and my guess is that if he stops being banished soon, he'll break it again. I think this explains exactly what the Mahjarrat are doing by "going north" to prepare for the next God War. This seems obvious to me, but I think they're going to do something to free Zamorak from his banishment. The Mahjarrat are extremely good at magic, so their combined power could probably break Zamorak free. This also goes perfectly along with what WOM may do to set up the Zamorakians to take the blame for the destruction of the Tower. By destroying the Tower at about the same time that Zamorak is released, it would look like Zamorak's forces did it as a tactical maneuver to cripple the Saradominist mages, and render Saradomin's army ineffective against magic-borne attacks. However, since Zamorak has been banished for so long, he probably knows nothing about our WOM, does he? WOM could easily pick up the slack left by the mages and lead an army to victory, right? I'd like to open up a new theory about Armadyl. All this time we've been thinking that he somehow lost all of his power and is trying to get it back. Maybe that's not the case at all. Maybe Armadyl is off somewhere else, not in Gielinor at all. I don't think an object, like a staff, makes a god powerful. That power should come from the god himself, not froom some object. Of course, the object retains SOME of the god's power, just look at the god staffs. WOM has a Saradomin staff too, but that doesn't really make him a god, does it? No, I think Armadyl is still as powerful as everyone claims him to be (he's equal to Zaros in strength, after all). Here's an idea. Armadyl and Zaros are long-time rivals with one another. Maybe after Zaros was - killed/banished - Armadyl saw no need to hang around anymore. His rival was vanquished, Saradomin was by this time the god of order, so maybe Armadyl assumed that he wasn't really needed anymore. But, he left his staff in the care of the followers of Ikov (Saradomin's son, according to that article) so that just in case Zaros comes back (which I think Armadyl expects to happen; Zaros must be really tough to keep down), Armadyl can get his staff again and fight. Just a thought. More interesting things in that article: The Oracle really is a Mahjarrat, but is perhaps not on Zamorak's side, in the same way that Saradomin was once a Mahjarrat but became good. Also, it said that Vannaka the Tutorial Island Combat Instructor could also be a Mahjarrat, because of the way his face is painted. If WOM is in contact with the Oracle, then WOM may also get in contact with Vannaka. He is a slayer master too, right? EDIT: Yup, just like I thought: *dances*
  11. I'm an old man. @ Xewleer: I read that part of the Barrows history and I didn't make the connection to that mysterious man being WOM until now. Remember back when we thought that WOM wanted the Barrows brothers' armor for his campaign? Seems pretty likely, given that WOM was indeed the man who was watching the brothers. But, the would mean that WOM was alive during the God Wars, which means he is upwards of 6000 years old. I don't think it means anything as of now, but maybe that guy was one of the desert gods - the one in control of the dead, or something. After all, the Barrows brothers are undead when you fight them, right? Maybe that god made them that way. @ skeeran Where did you find that? Was it in one of WOM's books? I'm thinking back to that wallpaper Jagex released of WOM sitting at his desk, and the pair of eyes underneath it. Aren't Dorgeshuun eyes supposed to be very large, since they live in caves al the time? But what could a Dorgeshuun be doing under his bed? OK, back when I was a member a long time ago, I tried to do the first Dorgeshuun quest and I got lost in the cave, and ended up going to the area where the Tears of Guthix quest begins. Isn't it ironic that the cave where Guthix was sleeping in during the God Wars is connected to the cave that the Dorgeshuun live in? I'd say that's pretty conclusive that the Dorgeshuun follow Guthix. And I like what Wenlok said - Guthixians (we really need a better word for them) trying to prevent the next god war. After all, it's common knowledge that the Mahjarrat are preparing for the next God War, so Guthixians should also know this. Although the Dorgeshuun are peaceful, that doesn't exclude them from gathering information for Guthix, does it? Therefore, the Dorgeshuun could know more about what WOM's plotting than any of us do. If there's anything in the new quest that reinforces this, someone post it here. I think we need a few more details from members: 1. The location of the drill-thing relative to the caves/which direction the drill is pointing in. 2. If ANYONE has WOM tell them to kill the thing under his bed, please take a screenshot and post it here for us all to marvel at.
  12. Hold on, I notice that everytime the origins of the Mahjarrat are brought up in the game, it always says that they came from the 'realm' of Freneskae. When I think of 'realm' I think of the different planes that Alebcay said that Arrav might have found. Maybe Freneskae lies within a different plane of reality, so Arrav could have stumbled upon it. Speaking of Arrav, I found this in the Lores and Histories section of the main site, Story of Arrav Part 2: Anyone else see the connection? Three men in the house = Saradomin, Zamorak, Guthix. Guthix is the one complaining that the others had entered his world of Gielinor while he was asleep. If you read on it talks about how smaller people were also in the house, talking amongst themselves in a way that bothered Arrav. Possibly the Mahjarrat, or some of the lesser-known gods? Whatever 'artifact' that Arrav was looking for that was desired by the Mahjarrat is most definitely the shield, from the Shield of Arrav quest. WOM knows what happened to Arrav, but won't tell us for some reason. I wonder why? And tunnelling under the Wizard's Tower: It might be better for WOM to do that if he truly wanted to get into the tower's basement, right?
  13. You know, it has been said that Zaros could easily defeat one of the other gods, but if two or three ganged up on him he would lose. Maybe that's what happened. You never know. Anyway, I think the distinction of the Mahjarrat being a race rather than a tribe has been lost. All races have different characteristics, and different strengths and weaknesses. Saying that the Mahjarrat is a 'tribe' sort of means that they're just a bunch of people who live together. Saying that they're a 'race', which is what I think they really are, would solve the issue of why they live so long, or why they're so adept at magic. I think we should list some of their characteristics: They are physically weak, due largely in part to their mastery of magic. Such knowledge has made physical strength unnecessary. They have long life spans. They seem to be more prone to evil actions. Are they really even humans, or are they an entirely different species? Moving on, then. Since all of the Mahjarrat are moving 'north' to gather before the next God War (now we KNOW it's going to happen, but just what will trigger it?), maybe WOM will initiate his plan when that happens. It would be fairly easy to do, since all of Zamorak's friends are all in te same place, and he could make it look like a large conspiracy by the Mahjarrat. My guess is that whenever we hear about Mahjarrat and Zamorak's followers going 'north' in large numbers, we'll be very close to WOM doing whatever it is he's planning. Keep your eyes open! Where the heck is Feneskrae?!
  14. I've seen somewhere that the mahjarrat WERE mortals, but were "less" mortal than others, i.e. they had longer lifespans for some reason...they were also very adept at magic. Zaros and Icthlarin, even though they were both in control of the mahjarrat at one point, were prbably not actually mahjarrat I think. The mahjarrat maybe just decided to follow Icthlarin first, the Zaros when he betrayed Icthlarin, and then finally they trusted one of their own, Zamorak. Man, 'Feneskrae'/'Freneskae' is really bugging me! And nobody knows what it is and there's no indication anywhere of its location. I forgot to mention some things that I found last night. In the Zamorak temple in SE Varrock, there are a bunch of candles in a row that look similar to the ones in the basement of the Tower, but a slightly different color. In Traiborn's room, there's an identical candlestick to the ones in the Zamorak temple. Really, I'm starting to think that the wizards are of no allegiance to Saradomin at all. However, I don't really believe they're 100% pro-Zamorak either. I don't really know what to make of it. But wait, I could be wrong about them. It might be that the Black Knights' fortress was at one point a stronghold for Saradominist forces, but the Black Knights took over and simply forgot to redecorate, who knows. It's right there next to the Wilderness, after all, right there on the border with Asgarnia. And the Monastery is right there next to the fortress! Why would the monks want to live right there in the shadow of the Black Knights? Surely the fortress once belonged to the White Knights and the monks lived there, feeling safe. It's probably a hotly contested area. The symbol right below the swirl symbol on the 2 little banners; it looks a whole lot like the Soul Rune symbol, doesn't it?
  15. Chew on this: I talked to the apprentice workman in the building in Falador with the furnace, and he claimed that "the Council is renovating Varrock." And if you want, you can check out zybez for more information on Armadyl.
  16. I definitely found what you said. Seems very peculiar. I don't know what to make of that. I also found something else a little strange in the tower basement. The Saradomin altar down there doesn't have a Saradomin symbol on it anywhere. All of the other altars do. This is odd.
  17. Hmm...very interesting...I'll get back as soon as I check it out myself.
  18. I havent seen any evidence of that either. Armadyl was capable of combating Zaros so he must have been prety powerful, much to powreful for a mortal. That's right. And if he's against Zaros, who I believe was a mahjarrat, then Armadyl probably isn't a mahjarrat. I wonder if we'll find out what happened to Armadyl the same way we found out what happened to Zaros.
  19. I've never heard anything about Armadyl being a mahjarrat, and I've never seen any resource that can confirm it.
  20. There's a new project out there for converting ocean tides into mechanical energy and into electricity.
  21. Armadyl was not a Majharrat, I believe. He's the god of purity, and he's pretty close to Saradomin.
  22. If that's correct, then it's plausible that Armadyl is also seeking a physical host, like WOM.
