Investigating the Wise Old Man
I think it's about time I email Jagex. I'm going to state our theories and evidence and ask them for leads and additional information. Does anyone know the email address I can use?

Global Warming
No. he asked about the current enviromental effects in temperatures. i linked him to charts that demonstrated that. I said no in response to the original thread starter's question.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
I think this has been said, but wouldn't this mean that the "council" would be around Entrana? Probably. We're not sure what the full name of the Council is, but it seems to be something like Council of Saradominists, so Entrana is a likely location.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Aereck is the priest in the Lumbridge church. Urhney is the guy that's meditating in the swamp. I think it's about time I do some radical thinking, because everytime I do this topic seems to grow by leaps and bounds. First Radical Idea: The Seminary is an organization that is the rival of the society that meets in the basement of the Wizard's Tower. WOM seems to work in close connection with them, they were at some point in the Lumbridge graveyard, where the skull from the Restless Ghost quest is, which was found in the basement of the Wizard's Tower. Why else would the skull be down there at all? Because whoever is in the Lumbridge masoluem is/was of extreme importance to the Seminary. The person might have been the founder of the Seminary, a benefactor, or somebody else of importance. The society in the basement went into the masoleum, stole the skull of this esteemed Seminarian, put it on the Saradomin altar in the Wizard's Tower basement, and created a skeleton to guard over it. This might also be why WOM dislikes the wizards in the tower so much, because he's a Seminarian. After all, the "staff of the seminary" had to inform WOM of finding Aereck's pajamas; this would place WOM in a position of leadership in the organization. It's possible that the Seminarians saw Aereck and considered him a threat, but Aereck doesn't seem like a threatening type. He's kind of meek and ill-informed, in my opinion. I noticed in WOM's letter to the high priest of Entrana, he closes with "fare thee well, my young friend." I wouldn't think of a high priest being a young person, but older and more educated/experienced. This has to have some significance.

A Good Airplane Flying Game?
Flight Simulator 2004 is only about 20 USD in any local game store. There's really nothing that can hold a candle to the Flight Simulator series, especially FSX. If you want a good flight simulator you're going to have to pay.

Either that or he reall did leave them in the graveyard. Something's starting to take some shape here. Maybe the seminary staff was doing something in the graveyard and Aereck went out to see what was going on, the staff saw Aereck and tried to grab him, but Aereck slipped out of his pajamas and ran for it, like in the gospel of Mark. Hmm...maybe the 'seminary' was conducting some meeting in the graveyard. P.S. THank you Quantumkik for the letters.

Donating blood?
I can't give blood. I have extremely low blood pressure. I once had 20 mL of blood removed for a test, and I passed out before I could stand up.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Uh...what? Why would he call his god a 'terrible one'? But really, a group of devout Saradominist theologians go snooping around a cemetery, carefully searching for lost pajamas? That throws up a lot of red flags. Surely they were looking for something else. Since it was in the Lumbridge cemetery of all places, it seems to me it had something to do with the ghost from the Restless Ghost quest. Do they want to steal the skull again and put it back in the basement of the Wizard's Tower? And it seems that these people reported to WOM what they had found, since WOM had to notify Aereck of his mising pajamas. WOM must know about what they did, what they were REALLY looking for, and what, if anything, they found. It seems odd that a group of people from a seminary, therefore being well-educated religious scholars, would go out into a cemetery and search for anything at all. That should be a job for less-educated "grunts". I'm starting to believe that these people weren't from a seminary at all, and that 'seminary' is just a cover word for something else.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
That sounds like The Shield of Arrav. If you read the histories on the main page Arrav lived among dwarves for awhile. This is suspicious. Why would the staff of a seminary be searching around the Lumbridge graveyard? Surely they wern't just looking for lost PJs! They must have been looking for something else and found them by accident. Of course, why WOM have to send a letter to him at all, unless WOM was involved in this 'seminary'? This basically proves that the Oracle is a follower of Saradomin, not Zamorak. Only Saradominists use that greeting/closing with each other, I think. And another mention of the Council. Jeez, if we only could find out what this Council is. I'm pretty sure Terrible One = Zaros. After all, he's been 'rediscovered' in a sense. And 'whisper from the south', the only things south of Draynor are the Wizard's Tower and Tutorial Island. It COULD be the desert, but that's a pretty big stretch. This would be helpful to know, if anyone can find out. I looked at the new background of WOM on the main site and there is a scale model of the Wizard's Tower on his desk. Right behind it is a floorplan of the tower as well. So the 'tower plan' is still active, apparently.

Let me reiterate: PLEASE SOMEBODY POST WOM'S MESSAGES ON HERE! THANK YOU!

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Somebody get WOM's messages that he sends out to those people and read them/post them here. I think we really need those at this point.

Your first name?
Yea I never have either. Its not that I think somebody will find me and kill me, its just that I think it would be awkward having people who I barely know and have never met calling me by my first name. I think I'll keep my name virginity for now. But please don't call me "Jack". Although I wouldn't call it 'name virginity' I reserve my real 1st name to be spoken only by family and friends, not on an internet forum. Too weird. But Viktorkrum might beg to hear my (Russian) name. :P

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Wait, Darkluniux, I think you're onto something. These letters, I know someone posted a pic of the one to Father Lawrence (the one about him being drunk all the time), would it be possible to read the other letters too? If so, someone please read them and/or post their contents. This could be a big discovery; intercepting WOM's transmissions will put us almost inside WOM's mind. Keep up the good investigation everyone! I think I have a different spin on the recipients: Oracle: He's a known Zamorakian (so says other sources, but maybe he's a plant/mole?), but I wouldn't exactly call him "wise;" he says things that...don't usually make sense. Maybe that means he's like Traiborn in that he's pretending to be a little loony to give the Black Knights a false sense of security? He IS in an excellent position to spy on the Black Knights' Castle, maybe for the White Knights... Thurgo: He's the only surviving member of a race that made good weapons, mostly for White Knights... Reldo: Not much I can think of. High Priest: Maybe the ringleader? Father Lawrence: Keeping him in line for being drunk but...his church is right there at Varrock's north gate, where that lone Black Knight is always wandering around... Abbot Langley: He gave you the Ghostspeak amulet from that free quest, and WOM tells you to keep it because he says "you will need it later." Since the graphics update his house is now very close to southern Draynor, where that other lone Black Knight is wandering around... Look at all the connections to Black Knights/White Knights...

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Whoa...when was this found out? And I don't think the Runescape Papacy would let its pope wander around unprotected and rob banks. I think if the Council of Saradominists was a papacy, more people would know it existed, and as of yet, we've only seen it mentioned once in a vague letter written by WOM. I'm more inclined to believe it's actually some kind of guardian organization trying to protect something. Think about it; why would WOM be so upset at Father Lawrence binge drinking? Lawrence is either a) defaming Saradomin, which would make the council more of a papacy, which is highly unlikely, or B) Lawrence is privy to something that the Council guards and his drunkenness threatens to expose it. Maybe Lawrence is a threat to the secrecy of the organization and WOM is trying to strong arm him into behaving.
