Investigating the Wise Old Man
Wow, this is really good info. Scorpio...has anyone seen Dirty Harry? (Another Eastwood movie, Wenlok :P ) And there is no way that I'm going to edit that first post. Maybe a little bit, but not too much. And it seems Jagex hasn't updated the histories this week either. They're getting really lazy lately.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Wow, that's really coming full circle there. As far as the other two coordinates, one is literally right next to the Temple of Ikov, the other is next to the two islands witht the two fighting Fremmenik brothers from that quest that was released not too long ago.

Actually the middle-south one looks more like Scorpius. Aha, scorpions again. I'm sure we wouldn't have noticed this if Wenlok and Alebcay hadn't pointed it out. :D Of the three in the north west corner, the lower most one looks like Cygnus. I remember pointing out that a group of rocks just west of the four special apocalyptic rocks resembled Taurus.

Did you mean to say that? :-k

Hmm. Could that be one of the NPCs that was involved in the Recruitment Drive quest?

The chav VS Emo arguement were do you come in
I'm going to be completely, totally honest, which is something that you'll see from a Russian once in a blue moon. When I saw the title of this thread - "The chav vs" part - I was seriously expecting a discussion about Hugo Chavez. I had my opinion ready and I was expecting a heated political debate. I was dead wrong. I guess its my fault for expecting a non-trivial arguement to appear on this board. -.-

Investigating the Wise Old Man
When Angel Eyes tortures him into doing so. :P Anyway, I really like where this is going. One thing, though - Could Zaros' form be a scorpion instead of a crab? Both have claws, and scorpions are mostly found in the desert, which is Zaros' primary area of influence. I think you're right about Armadyl being the original owner of the Stronghold. It's known that the Fremmenik and some of the Barbarians are Armadyl followers, according to what I've seen. It makes sense that the Barbarians would have made their settlement near one of Armadyl's strongholds. I suppose that their folklore talked of an ancient fortress built by Armadyl in the area they're in now, so they decided to settle there. They must have thought that the fortress had been destroyed, because they hadn't realized that it was underground. But when they relocated their mining to the center of the village, they stumbled upon the stronghold! They must have been thrilled, but Zaros' energy was probably still there when they found it. I'm guessing the presence of Zaros down there is the major reason that they don't just relocate into the stronghold. Armadyl tends to like places that are underground: The place where the Staff of Armadyl is is also underground. Looking at the map of that area, I noticed that of all the monsters that are inside, the scorpion - Zaros - is the weakest one, at only level 14. A slap in the face from Armadyl, perhaps? :P I can see Armadyl building a fortress for those living in the present-day Wilderness fleeing from the God War to find refuge. I think that maybe Zaros tried to attack the stronghold, and in the epic battle, the fortress was completely sealed off from the surface. Maybe part of Armadyl's energy remains there to counteract Zaros' energy, or something. This has me thinking. What would Armadyl have done, after Zaros attacks a fortress full of peaceful noncombatants and refugees? I think he would have realized that Zaros needed to be eliminated. Being the god of goodness/purity, Armadyl would have taken it upon himself to do so. This is why I think that Armadyl arranged for his staff to be "stolen" and sold to Zamorak. Because really, why would some "rogue bandits" steal a God's staff and then sell it, when they could have incredible power by keeping it? And how did the staff miraculously reappear in the Temple of Ikov, a location where Armadyl's followers still guard the staff? Sorry, long post.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Wow, no wonder you two were gone for so long  I noticed the countdown part, but do you think it's in years? It could also be in events - 4 began with Swan's Song, 3 will be the next WOM-related quest, and so on. Could mean 4 quests in the series. It could also mean a pattern - something beginning with the flowers or that symbolizes them, and ending with a treasure chest. Isn't that what quests are, really? A starting point, a journey, and then a reward at the end?

One of those four might be Morytania also, maybe death. War ought to be in the Wilderness, since it held the worst war in Runescape history. Elfinlocks was incinerated on the video, she was turned into ash, leaving no bones behind. If she was charred, then the magic must have been so powerful that it affected her after she respawned. I know it's been suggested that the whole robbery was staged, because the people WOM killed died the same way that the necromancer's wizards do, meaning that WOM just necromanced all those people, but the reappearance of Elfinlocks pretty much disproves that.

I think it said that the place where runes were discovered was someplace very far north, and cold. But you're right, magic was around before runes were able to be created. It must be a very, very ancient form of magic that WOM may be trying to uncover. And by very, very ancient I mean First God Wars ancient, which was really powerful.

I meant that maybe the histories will be updated...tomorrow... OK, I've been letting this slide for a while now, but it's been getting really out of hand, I'm guessing because of what somebody said earlier, people see this and say "Wow liek 1400 repliez I must replie 2 lol." So please denizens, discuss the relevant theories at hand, or make some well-thought-out theories of your own. It's been awhile since I've seen Wenlok on here...unless he's just lurking.

When is your Birthday?
The actual date varies depending on what country I'm in, but it's sometime during the summer. :P

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Hmm...do you think he might be a werewolf now, or a vampire even? OK, I've got a problem with WOM's story. Why on earth would he send a level 2 man from Lumbridge to investigate Morytania, one of the most lethal places in Gielinor? Surely WOM would have realized that the man's chances of survival were next to nothing, yet he still expected the man to return alive and make a detailed report of his findings? That's insane, why would he do that, unless he's also a sadist. I've got: 1) WOM purposely sent the man out knowing that he was not going to survive, but didn't want to pay a skilled adventurer to help him, or 2) WOM didn't really do that, and it's a cover story to make it look like he's still interested in gaining wisdom. Which of the four symbols did we think was in Morytania? Was it death or pestilence? (This is going way back to some of the first meetings)

I could see WOM operating a little closer to Varrock when the update comes. Maybe he can have some random appearances like he has before. Wait - the new museum features will probably only be for members. Shafted again. Hey, that's a good idea. Xewleer spent so much time looking around Morytania and didn't find anything, but that was before we knew about this man WOM sent out. Shouldn't be too difficult for an ace tracker. If you find the man, Xewleer, beat the information out of him! Pink is not his color, and it will never be.

Prince Harry To Go To War.
I wonder if his training instructor got a kick out of bossing the prince around. :P I would have. Especially if I didn't like him.

Yeah...I remember we speculated about the curator receiving money from WOM, now we can find out if it's true or not.

Dang, gangsters are getting younger and younger!
I am actually amazed at how many Neo-Nazi gangs there are in Russia, especially considering what happened in the war. Those ones are mostly in the suburbs or rural areas, from what I've seen. They appeal to a more conservative base, I guess. They're usually teens or preteens who don't know anything and just want to rebel.

How to make money online! Please disscuss to find a way.
OK, here's what you do. 1. Go to Liberia 2. Buy all the weapons you can get your hands on (any rifle/RPG/machine gun there goes for about 20 US dollars on the street). 3. Sell your arsenal to American defense contractors. They will buy weapons in bulk for really good money. They mostly use them for training as per some of the cheaper guns, but anything in the Kalashnikov family will be put into action. Plus they pay really good money for Kalashnikovs, probably upwards of 800 US dollars each. 4. Repeat! After you've built up some hefty investments you can buy off surplus vehicles. T-54s might cost around 47,000 US, but you can sell them to the contractors again for several hundred thousand US.

If it's the same guy that controls Roald in the quest, then he must be good at possessing people, or something. Mind control, maybe.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Interesting, WOM has NPCs that do things for him? One ordinary level 2 man, pretty inconspicuous. Nobody would recognize him as an agent of the WOM. ( 'agent of the WOM,' that would be a great band name) Maybe it's just the tip of the iceberg, and he's beginning to accumulate an army. Edit: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It. Umm...yeah. :-s

Ugh...monarchies are just too confusing. I'm glad it doesn't really mean anything.

Dang, gangsters are getting younger and younger!
In Moscow, gang members are very easy to spot becasue they have the nicest clothes. Normal people don't usually walk around the inner city area wearing three piece suits. We have a better sense of style than the West. :P
