Chins are what most people do because of the profit, though I don't believe it's fastest (still very fast) Falconry is quite annoying with all the dropping of bones and fur, so I wouldn't suggest that especially for a long time. Salamanders are great exp, but you have to drop those as well, though not as much. D Imps are great for money but you shouldn't rely on it for money. Unless you have a lot of people looking for you, you won't find many.

And those merchants who are uber-rich now have the opportunity to create monopolies on items easier, not that they will, because it's still risky. Merchanting is still possible anyways, it'll just be different. And this could even give those uber-rich merchants more contrl of the market. (my 2cents on that subject) And as for the F2P and P2P interaction, it may not even happen if Jagex doesn't provide this update for F2P.

Don't have to use Yak Hide against the Troll King. I used Protect from Range and used other armor and did fine. You'll need to get the Yak Hide and Shield anyways, so you should use it on the way up to the King though.

The helmet is called "Helm of Neitiznot", a reward from the "The Fremennik Isles" quest. You need to do the quest to equip one and you can buy another back for 50k. So it is indeed better than a Berserk Helmet.
