  1. I don't remember which, but some southern state in the USA allows you to shoot someone just for standing on your front porch. Now THAT'S a safe state. Edit: Crud, misterxman beat me to it.
  2. Rise of nations, rise of legends are both good games. However, if you have the rig to run it, World in Conflict is a very good one. Supreme Commander would be good for you as (I think) it's made by the same guy that made Total Annihilation.
  3. Stick it to the man.
  4. I guess this is where the root of our difference in opinions is. I, unlike you, value campaign above all and I can live on campaign. The best games of all time never had multiplayer so why should great games today be judged harshly because of a lack of multiplayer? You're right, as Nadril said, a lot of the features were similar to that of System Shock albeit better, but what games today aren't similar in some way to previous games? I can only think of a few. Although I love the Halo series, it is just another man vs. alien with lots of guns. Though it is a very good one, Call of Duty 4 is just another war game. BioShock, though, is new. The whole plot and environment is new. Features are similar to some old games but just about everything else is new. I'll agree that the enviroment and art in the game were refreshing. I do think that it deserved to win GOTY, as COD4 and Halo 3 are extremely smiliar to the other games in the series. However, I stick to my point of it being similar to SS2 in gameplay.
  5. Haha. You're implying that games without multiplayer get boring after a few weeks? The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time came out years and years ago but is it boring yet? No. There are tons of games with out multiplayer that are amazing. Sure, Halo 3 is good but BioShock clearly won. It was a game that has never been done before. It was clearly worthy of GotY. It was actually done twice before. It's extremely similar to the System Shock series. Only difference is that a lot of the features have been dumb down.
  6. I can relate to that, I had to go to this church service in full formal dress, white shirt, blazer, black pants, tie, the lot. So, so hot. Lucky you. I have to wear that every day in school, and half the classrooms are like ovens.
  7. Crap, now I can't even open it -.- I typed something that fixed the problem for someone else into the launch options bar, and now the game only gets to the valve symbol before crashing.
  8. Is there an error? I kept getting an error at one point, and I found the fix is to go into graphics section and change the option for vertical sync to disabled (even if it recommends it for your computer). I had to do that with all my games except hl2 and portal. Nope, no error. It just freezes.
  9. Damn it -.- I dled the ToB off of steam today, and it's driving me crazy. I can't play portal or TF2. When I launch portal, I can only get to the part where you exit the starting box with the portal, then it freezes. With TF2, I begin to load a server and it freezes. Any help?
  10. Best: going into my music playing exam with my knees buckling and coming out with a 92% :D Worst: This time of year sucks for me in general e.g. homework, projects, tests, exams all crammed into 1 month -.-
  11. Age has nothing to do with that, even adults can make 'prank votes' into a significant political movement if enough people do it. Heck.. Arnold Schwarzenegger got picked as governor of California over seasoned politicians, and his main qualifications are destroying robots, a strong german accent and lifting weights. How are those not good qualifications  ?

I hate the two constants in Halo 3 1) In any game with more than 5 players some idiot will start singing Soulja Boy into their mic. 2) There will always, ALWAYS be that 7 year old idiot who WON'T SHUT UP, as stated before.
  13. Gah, I can't beat Barracuda on expert #-o I can't do that chorus part that has the 3 green notes, rest, 3 greens, rest, 3 greens, rest, etc. I haven't been able to get past 47% becaue of it. Any tips?

Either Halo 1 or Half life 2.
  15. My phone can already play music and stuff like that. I have a DS because I bought a handheld to play games, not carry my entire computer in my pocket. That and the fact that the PSP has a control scheme that's more frustrating than expert mode on GH3.
  16. I'm definitely planning on going through both System Shock games after I complete all the half life games. After watching the Zero Punctuation review of Bioshock, I basically learned that SS2 is a better version of Bioshock. And Bioshock kicked [wagon].
  17. Halo 3 has the most fun multiplayer I've ever seen, especially when playing with friends. It also has the shortest single player mode I've seen since heavenly sword.
  18. Steam name: Skullshatterer (Yeah...I like making head shots  ) Games I play: HL2: DM. Planning on buying CS:S within a few days.
  19. *Posts because I felt like it* :P Don't forget to re-add me k narb, I think I'm coming back to RS soon  :D
