  1. The laptop is an Area 51-m9750 (1400 + 150 for upgrade). I've kinda had my heart set on an Alienware for awhile, but if you can recommend a better priced laptop I'm all for it.
  2. The OS would be Vista.
  3. Alright, so this year my parents are getting me a new laptop for school (my birthday present), but I guess they were feeling generous because they let me pick an Alienware I'm gonna pay for an upgrade myself, but I need to know which to pick (keep in mind that the upgrade is mainly for gaming). Either: A) 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz 2 x 1024MB instead of 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz 2 x 512MB or B) Intel® Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0GHz 4MB Cache 667MHz FSB instead of Intel® Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66GHz 2MB Cache 667MHz FSB Which of these will improve gaming performance the most?

The key word there is "should." How is it fair to me if I shotgun someone, but they're only damaged instead of killed, so they turn around a shoot me once and I die? You can't possibly believe that a random shotgun is a good idea.
  5. We must go to totally different restaurants.
  6. Basically what Dave Walsh does. No, I'm not telling you who he is. 95% of the forum probably won't understand without going on Wikipedia or something.
  7. Hmm, for the most part I think Canadian stereotypes are true  1) I love maple syrup. 2) Most people here drink beer. 3) There's a house in Toronto that always has a moose on top of it (a fake one, don't get any ideas) 4) At my cottage I eat at a restaurant who's mascot is a beaver.
  8. Hmm, am i the only one who thinks this is a lie? Never really had any "outrageous" experiences, just when my Dad goes to get a Mc Donalds, BK etc for us all and comes back with half the meals missing. I swear most of the people who work in fast food places drink furniture polish for fun. I fell out of my chair.

The spread of the shotgun is random. It's been proven. Go ask on the MLG forums if you have any doubts about this.

Did you read my post? The shotgun with the random damage (X-factor-Gnasher) is enough to make this game... well, I don't know, unfair.
  11. The earlier R6 games were very realistic, but now they're starting to get a little more mainstreamed (mainly due to the regenerating health and larger scaled battles). Isn't there a series called SWAT though?

Great for co-op single player, insanely overated multiplayer. I don't get what everyone sees in the multiplayer; it's glitchy, the host advantage is massive, the shotgun is random. I still don't see the point of using a chainsaw when you start with a shotgun.
  13. Alright, in the next day or so I'm leaving on a trip. I'm putting a bunch of music onto my DS, but I'm running out of ideas. My main taste is classic rock (Guns 'n Roses, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Van Halen, etc.), but I'd also be open to jazz or even classical if it's interesting enough. Can anyone recommend me some songs/bands?
  14. Best voice acting I have ever heard. When I first opened the door to the Butcher and he said "fresh meat" in that low growling voice, lumberd over, rose his cleaver, and my character fell down with that ear shattering scream. I almost wet myself and had nightmares for weeks. But back on topic, Bad voice acting and lacking single player are the two major faults I have with most of todays games. There are so many good games that are multiplayer only though... It's the opposite for me. If a game has good single-player but has crappy or no multiplayer, I'm only renting it, unless it's a total classic like Bioshock or Half Life.
  15. I'm going away for 2 weeks tomorrow with no 360 or online PC games, so my DS is where I'll be spending my time for the next 14 days. Gotta start DLing a bunch of games and music.
  16. That's what I was thinking  On-topic, I really don't see a problem with it. It's only natural, after all. I had an experience relating to this today. While waiting in a waiting room for my guitar lesson to start, a woman started breastfeeding her child next to. A tad awkward, but it was better than having the baby wail at the top of it's lungs until my lesson started.
  17. I was going to be on time, but I had a guitar lesson run a little behind, making me 20 minutes late.
  18. Aaaaawwwwwwwww so cute
  19. Alright, here goes: Friday July 5th- Vegas 2-10 GMT Saturday July 6th- COD4- 10 GMT
  20. I'd post my R4 contents, but I can't find my DS for some reason. With the Doom port can you only play the section (knee deep in the dead)? That's what happened to me. I can't get either DSQuake or DSduke to work for some reason. Do you know anywhere I could find a WAD file for quake 1?

Up here at my cottage we have a 2GB cap for some reason :wall: It also sucks up here because my borther can't play on the 360 while I download anything or watch videos. It still kicks the crap out of dial-up. The only experience I have with dial-up is when I went on vacation to Florida.

I'm sort of borderline. Both me and my siblings are extremely spoiled in some ways, but not in others. For example, my entire tuition is paid for by my parents (high school), along with all sporting equipment. They just get us these things. On the other hand, if it's not sports equipment or school related, I pay for it out of my own pocket. Xbox 360's, Wii's, a computer, games, headphones, etc. all come out of my own savings.
  23. I don't actually see any point to voting on this. Halo 3 and COD4 are gonna be played, I'm calling it.
  24. I vote for Vegas 2.
