Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
Where the hell are these glitches everyone talks about? And it isn't even single-player only. I need to play the co-op, but none of my friends have the game :S It IS SP only. Co-op isn't real multiplayer, it's just playing SP with another person :s

I don't mind bad story or AI. I do mind paying 64.99 or so for a glitchy, single-player only game. You're right though, it is a pretty good rental title. On another note, I'm getting really sick of games that advertise entirely on "WATCH THINGS GO BOOM OMG." BF:BC did the same thing, they never had any gameplay footage before the release of the game besides "ttttttttactical destruction."

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
I'll probably will end up buying a used copy whenever the price happens to drop or whenever they patch it. Sounds like the kind of game I'd play when I'm just trying to turn off my brain for a bit and blow up some stuff. But I just can't pay full price for a SP-only game with so many glitches. Here's the good and bad from gamespot: Bad: * Dozens upon dozens of bugs and glitches * Unsatisfying weapons * Awful AI * Repetitive missions * Lousy story. Good: * Co-op play can be a bit of fun * Causing mayhem and destruction is entertaining, though the game will often penalize you. My general opinion compared to reviewers opinion's are very different so I generally don't trust reviews, but some of that stuff really isn't opinion-based. I can overlook all of the bad stuff except for that it's glitchy and repetitive, those really aren't opinion-based things. Overall, I'll either rent this game or but it used for $20 eventually, but right now I think my insanely tight budget will either go towards WAR, Spore, or other PC games I've been watching over steam.

Digital Distribution vs Boxed Products.Your thoughts.
^ Pretty much my thoughts. I personally love services like steam and gametap because they allow me to get games for a) a cheaper price, and B) I don't have to leave my house (it's almost always faster to download a game for me than to go an EB games). They can also let you get older games that are very hard to track down in stores such as the original Quakes. On the other hand, the rush I get from ripping off the plastic on a new game box is something I really don't get from a dled game.

Insanely hard games
Most really hard SP games have been mentioned, so I'll mention a MP game: Quake 3 with the CPMA mod. Seriously, it completely re-defines "getting crapped on."

ready for school for those people that have school on sept.2
Well, my Grade has a 3 day camping trip today, so my school technically doesn't start 'til next week. I've been off since June 10th. School is really an awkward thought.

the laptop im looking at
Skatepank that's pretty nice. What company made it? Here's mine: Duo core 2.0 ghz 4 GB of RAM 100 GB harddrive Nvidia 8700 (plus some random letters) graphics card. I envy your hard drive space :( After installing all my games I have maybe 15-20 GB left.

the laptop im looking at
1 GB of ram isn't too bad, my old laptop had a 1.6 ghz processor with 503 mb of RAM and I could sorta run HL2 on it :P

Call of Duty: World at War
CPMA is a competitive mod for Quake 3. It's main purpose is 1v1, it's quite possibly the hardest game of all time.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
Are you serious? A rental where I live is 1-2 weeks  And my rule of thumb is that if the game has no online multiplayer I won't buy it.

Call of Duty: World at War
And Video Games have a reason for the difficulty settings - Challenge. I like Video games that are challenging. If really, really want a large challenge, I can recommend some games. 1) Halo 1 over XBC 2) Shadowrun 3) CPMA 4) Cs 1.6

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
Does this game have anything going for it besides how everything goes boom? If it doesn't have the gameplay to back it up it really is only worth a rental at the most. P.S. Does it have multiplayer?

Call of Duty: World at War
They want it to be point and shoot, so that people like my little brother could have a game where they can get kills. When IW/Treyarch leave activision, that's when you'll start seeing some recoil on the guns. The alpha version of COD4 had lots of recoil on the guns, but Activision shot down the idea because it wasn't "fun."

Call of Duty: World at War
From the gameplay footage, no, there's no recoil. I doubt they'll change it. I noticed that, bad decision on their part methinks. I agree. It won't be as realistic as with WITh recoil. They remove recoil to make it easier to fire the guns. If they had CS 1.6 type recoil half the population would quit playing on the first day because they wouldn't be able to hit crap.

Call of Duty: World at War
How to make COD5 multiplayer: 1) Take a copy of of COD4. 2) Put a WWII skin on it 3) Add a handful of new weapons 4) Add 5 more perks 5) Call COD5 and sell millions.

Call of Duty: World at War
Eh, where's the list? I thought we would get a katana. I knew that we got a katana, what I said was that it wasn't a perk.

Trackmania Nations Forever! and TMDS!!
Great game, DLed it a while ago.
-
Call of Duty: World at War
They released the list of perks already, the katana ain't there. I'm not sure what the point of a katana is though, a shotgun would make that kinda pointless.

There have been a lot of games based in 'Nam, but most have been total trash.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
I've been beasting as a sniper lately. I had 97 kills, 29 deaths, 10 assists, 60 headshots at the time I got off. People in the server were yelling at me as they got HS as they were retreating :P

Call of Duty: World at War
I don't hate just on COD5, I hate on most COD games except for COD1. I realize that in this you fight the Japanese instead of Germans. People have been [bleep]ing about how WW2 has been getting stale for years, even since COD2. Hellbellz made a really good point there, the game is majorly crippled by how used the story is. COD4 had an amazing story. COD5 won't have anything close to that since EVERYONE knows how it's going to end.

Call of Duty: World at War
Back then WWII was a more interesting idea. After the hundreds of games made about WWII since then, the idea is getting stale.

That kid that went to your school.
My God, that's a pathetic, err, punishment? Does that even count as the punishment? He seems to have ended up in a better place. Man, if I was that principle... I'd hire Lenin to set up his punishment
