  1. [bleep]ing A' man, it's MOOSE. At least I think it is, never heard anyone around here say meeses. And if you hate Canada, well you're screwed. Where else will Americans get their natural maple syrup (I've tried that crap that you guys have...ewww) and massive amounts of wheat
  2. My school is relatively tough, no matter how good your memory is you have to study hard for most subjects. A lot of my teachers will give you all the standard textbook stuff to study, but then they heap on another pile of stuff to memorize on top of that. For example, the science textbook I have has a diagram of the male/female reproductive system, with roughly 5 parts labeled for each. Then my teacher gave us all a handout of that same picture but with 12 parts labeled and a detailed description of each organ/part in that diagram  The only subjects I really have to study for are geography, science, english and religion since those are all very memorization-heavy subjects for me. Subjects like math/french/music I'll study for maybe 15 minutes in the morning before I leave the day of a test (french especially. I mean 90% of french consists of this 1) learn certain formula-type-thing for doing something grammatically correct, 2) memorize list of 5 irregular verbs relating to it). My study habits are kinda bleh. Usually I don't study until the day before, then I just cram. Trying to break that habit though, kinda learned the hard way that studying 20 minutes a day for a week beats studying 2 hours the day before.
  3. Yeah, I agree on this. You could easily run the old Valve games, which are really fun and still have decent communities behind them. I'm also pretty sure you could run all the GTA games up 'til SA.
  4. [hide=] Why is everyone forgetting Turbine as the second CTF. Also Hydro is actually classified as TC not CP There is no Turbine level on 360. Consider yourself lucky. It sucks. :o turbine rocks. great fun as soldier or scout. [/hide] Turbine is my 3rd favorite ctf map, only losing to mach4 and (drumroll) hallofdeath.
  5. It is a lot easier to just knife them. I used to get killed by them a lot because the timing can be difficult, but now I can survive an attack unless more then three attack me at once. I've been playing online a lot lately, and it seems like almost everyone uses stopping power with either an MG42, FG42, or an STG44. Personally, I enjoy using an MP40 or M1 Garand for most of the times. The only issues I have with the game are the often poor respawns and "Connection Interrupted" messages (which seems to happen during my most dominant matches #-o). But the thing is you have to focus all your attention on the dogs, which, unless you're totally alone, makes you an easy target.
  6. I don't know too much about the game since I've only got to level 15 or so, but I did find it very boring. The only time I play is to play Nazi Zombies with my friends now. P.S. dogs are stupid. Way more powerful than the helicopter as far as I'm concerned, since it basically takes 2 hits to kill you, you can't hide or ignore them, there's a ton of them, and the hit detection on them feels a little off. If they get in close quarters with you and you have a bolt-action rifle, you're essentially screwed. P.P.S. I like using the bolt action guns, but they just don't seem fair. If you somehow hit their hands or arms, no kill for you. And since the time between shots takes forever, the guy you wounded will have turned, aimed, and jammed a wall of lead into your chest. The other thing that's a bugger is how if you dual a guy with a bolt-action rifle, and he hits you at all, and you fire when getting hit, the shot seems to miss 90% of the time, no matter where you aim. P.P.P.S. No, I don't suck. I don't rock because I barely play, but I normally score within the top 3 on my team.
  7. Yeah I think it is.
  8. 2Fort. It's kinda boring to me because of what you stated. Each team always ends up with 2 sentries in the intel room and the game goes nowhere after that. I prefer Well because of the back and forthness : 32 man instant-spawn 2fort= hell. You will never see any actually captures, just those damn WCC snipers, lots of engies, and lots turtling.

I mean really it gives you your first house, quests, and shop! well tenpenny tower has a suite...so in a way it's better And a butler robot that tells jokes 8-) Plus a guard who sells you pretty decent stuff.
  10. Oh, that makes sense XD I remember playing on 360 I could barely hit heavies with a sniper.
  11. Not really sure how to respond to this. 5 headshots in 1 game, especially on 2fort, isn't that great. Unless you're playing on 360, in that case it's a major accomplishment.

    http://ihatevans.com/ I don't know why, but I found it pretty funny. :D
  13. I'm not sure if anyone else sees these, or if they're Toronto exclusive, but those ads for Oliver Jewelery or something. Even my grandmother hates them, they're that bad. Oh, found the worst one:

Pfft, I was in Ottawa for 3 days, and the temperature hit -30 consistently with the windchill. And by "between 20 and 30" do you mean -20 and -30? Because if you do you have ever right to complain, even I find that cold
  15. Height advantage is the best tool a spy has. It's ridiculously hard to combat, and it can let you pick off people at your will. Only problem is the timing is really tough. Btw that hiding spot on goldrush only works if your on my team, otherwise I just blast you right as the game starts :P
  16. Everyone wants snow until they get a ton of it and then they have to shovel their driveway. Especially when the snow is really wet and heavy.
  17. It's even worse when they end a game just when the plot starts to get interesting and then say "Oh don't worry, we're doing a sequel!". Video games will eventually get to the point where it's considered art, though. Some people now think a red dot in the middle of a white canvas is art, so we won't have to wait that much longer. That's not the worst. The worst is that that guy just dumped buckets of paint on a huge canvas, and called it art.
  18. Halo's average. It's not horrible but it's not great, fun to play casually with friends but it starts getting old after awhile.
  19. My favorites are Golden Retriever and Husky, though people keep telling me owning a husky isn't so great since they don't like to be indoors.

Gears isn't so hot online. On LAN it can be extremely fun, but the online lag is pretty bad.
  21. Yes, and those reasons were a) epic single player campaign, and B) multiplayer was extremely easy to pick-up and play.
  22. I like to read, but for some reason I can never find any books that I truly get into. When I do get into a book though, I can't put it down (I finished Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy in under a week). Favorite series of all time is the first trilogy of Artemis Fowl books, I must have re-read them 10 times each, though the newer Fowl books are starting to suck.
  23. I think I have a Season 1-5 box set sitting around my house. The only episode I remember is Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.
  24. We're supposed to get hit by a few huge storms over the next week in Toronto. Hopefully the power won't shut off, because everyone knows that being stuck inside your house, in the winter, with no power, is about as bad as it gets. Oh and you guys are lucky that you even get the possibility of a snow day. The only time my school shuts down due to weather is if we get so much snow the subways shut down. Which is alot.
  25. Sounds like smear the queer in a pool. Now that game is fun. Smear the queer ? We called it kill the carrier at my old school. Oh and we used to play "the Gauntlet." We had 2 versions during gym: version A had you run down the middle of the gym while people on the sidelines whipped these stupid foam balls at you. Version B had you run down the middle of the gym while people on the sidelines shoot tennis balls at you with hockey sticks XD.
