Meh, that's a personal opinion I guess. I've never really found WWII games in general to be that great, except for COD1.

Mmmm thats why i don't like it. I'm a big COD 4 fan...and when i play the beta i think to myself: 'Haven't i already got this game?'... I really don't think they've done much other than change the skin, imbalance afew things and add overpowered tanks. TBH all the good stuff on COD 5 is inherant from COD 4. If Treyarch had actually put their own input in and changed the game i'd have more respect for it. But there's virtually no gameplay changes so its just a different skin for COD 4 really- but with not so good map design. This is what many of people have been waiting for though, a WW2 with amazing gameplay both single and multi. Now we finally have a game combining the amazing gameplay of CoD4 with the interesting episode of WW2. If you prefer more modern combat stick to 4, if you like the WW2 based stuff get 5. Easy as that. "Waiting for"? Yeah...what about COD1 and 2? Medal of Honour? The Battefield 1942 series? Seriously, if you look past the hype of this game you'll see COD4 with a new skin. It's completely riding on the success of COD4 without really adding anything new. Well, they broke a few laws of physics in relation to WWII weaponry, but that's about it. With so many other good games coming out now (FC2, GoW2, Endwar, Fallout 3, etc) I really don't see myself buying this.

Definitely buying this. The voice command is very intuitive and surprisingly was implemented very well, it NEVER mixed up my commands, even with the [cabbage]ty XBL headset. Trust me though, when you have a good mic/headphone combo like the Astro A-40s it feels so much cooler giving out orders.

Wah? How can they make another movie. Hasn't pretty much everyone from the other movies died, including Jigsaw and his apprentice?

I need some help from anyone who has the PC version. Whenever I try to join a PB-protected game, I get booted after 1 minute or so due to either "PB init failure" or "no packet flow." If anyone could help that'd be great.

I love House. Though I do think the seasons with the original team (mostly seasons 1-2) were by far better than what's on now, it's still a great show. I liked how they used to have an large plot spanning 4-5 episodes over top of the cases the team got, like when that fat black guy tried to buy out the hospital.

That was the worst episode of south park ever, and thats an achievement being that south park isnt really that funny, comedy straight from 1995... You're just saying that because you play WoW :P

I HATE ONLINE ACHIEVEMENTS. The one's where you slowly accumulate over time just by playing the game (i.e. the Spartan Officer one in H3, Seriously in GoW, etc) I'm ok with, but developers just love to make the achievements as stupid as possible. I'm looking at you, Halo 3.

Finding games on Halo 1 can be a little difficult, but weekends on XBC you can pretty much always find a good host. Halo 2 you can always find a game, whether it's XBC or XBL. Halo won't die for a long time.

COD4 with vehicles and a WWII skin. IMO it won't interest me too much, but I'm gonna rent it before trashing it. Or wait for my brother to blindly purchase it in blind COD4 fanboyism :lol:

If COD4 had a buy menu like CS, it would've been totally screwed. Imagine one team with M16's, noob tubes, MP5's, M4's, etc. while the other team would get mini-uzi's, AK's, and shotguns :lol:

The marketing for GoW and GoW2 is possibly the best in the business. They pick the perfect time to release it both times; near the holiday season, and awhile after all other big-name, AAA titles come out, so people are getting bored of H3, COD4, etc. I'm getting it just because COD4 and H3 really did get dull awhile back.

I have a set of Sennheiser 595's, and honestly they're spectacular. When watching movies on my 42", I'll actually use my headphones since they're extremely comfortable and the sound quality is absolutely amazing. They're also great hardcore gaming and music headphones. Disadvantage: They're $300+ go figure.

I hated the ending. The warthog race at the end was a rip-off of Halo 1's ending, except not epic :lol: I thought they would finish the series with a good ending with good closure, not leave it open to another sequel... I dunno, I kinda thought the Warthog thing was a nice throwback to #1. And it wasn't set up for a sequel; it was set up for Marathon. You'd probably know more about the Halo story than me, so I'll take your word for it... If I had to re-write the ending, I'd have MC be near-death, with a brute standing over him, ready to curb-stomp him GoW style, when the other remaining however-many-there-are spartans left would come to his rescue. Then for the final scene, the remaining spartans fighting off some waves upon waves of Covenant, with some of Bungie's epic background music playing (kind of like the ending of the Ghosts of Onyx book, if anyone's read it). From there I'm a little fuzzy, but this is just off the top of my head. One thing I always found funny about the Halo story is that the games never involve Dr. Halsey, but in the books she's a major character.

It's not coming out for PC. I'll find a link if you want it. I just hope they don't map everything to the [bleep]ing A button again.

I can't tell you about SP too much, but I heard it was supposed to be better than the first one in those terms. MP got some major changes since they actually focused on it this time around. The shotgun is more consistent, the netcoding is better but still not as good as games like COD4. Much more focus on lancer fights now with the addition of stopping power. You can use downed players as "meatshields," you can tear cover off the ground and move to another part of the map. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I totally bought into the Wii's hype, being a former Nintendo fanboy when I was 10-11 years old. It's just that none of the games can really hold my interest for very long, since the vast majority are designed for younger children and casual gamers. The last time I touched my Wii (I just realized how perverted that sounded after I typed it) was around Brawl's release. How much does a wii, 3 nunchuck-stick combos, and about 15 games go for? I might be able to get my PC some nice upgrades.

Haven't been able to play much lately. Once Thanksgiving and my 5 day weekend come around after this week I'll be playing a lot more.

Besides most crap on Nick, CN, MTV, etc. I'm gonna go with Glen Beck or however you spell his name. He just talks in this way that pisses me off, he just insults everything, from GTAIV to a military general if I remember correctly #-o The only shows I can really watch anymore are Boston Legal, House, and George Lopez. Home Improvement is also decent.

Hardcore just makes it easier to kill people. There's still UAVs, helos, airstrikes, perks, recharging health, almost zip recoil on the guns, still no need to aim for the head, SMGs can still accurately spray from the hip, snipers still don't have to go prone to steady their aim.
