  1. The tip of it's nose also doesn't disappear randomly either.
  2. (Go ahead and close, or delete my thread, his was made first.) Here's the image for those too lazy to actually go to the page itself:
  3. My apologies if this has already been found, or covered .. .. If you go to the RuneScape Knowledge Base and type in "Bulldog," you are taken to a page that says "Thanks for using the Knowledge Base," with this image following it. Any speculation on what this might hold for the future?
  4. I have a feeling this new altar will let you create a random type of rune. Maybe you will have the chance to create something that you are not able to make yet, hence the unpredictable part, and all the other mumbo-jumbo about it. I'm also pretty sure the whole makeover mage part is talking about the NPC children in the game, not us .. EDIT: Amen.
  5. I can see them making a weapon equivalent to the whip, but it can only train strength and defense, since the current whip does not offer a strength training option. It wouldn't be some "super weapon" that would destroy the whip, since it would not have an accurate or controlled option per say, but it would definitely fill that strength training gap the whip made.
  6. I love the new mutton chops, and vests. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m thinking of starting up a RS Motorcycle gang. Maybe commission the Keldagrim dwarves to conjure up some steam-powered cycles.
  7. I had similar idea too those, i thought of a twin blade sword, and a boomerang, but i thought for a boomerang, it wouldnt have ammo so it would require an upkeep of some sort which would be expensive for jagex to implement it, Karils x-bow needs ammo and upkeep! The boomerang would actually work if it was a crystal item. That way it would have the upkeep needed, without the consumption of ammo; just like the crystal bow. Make it fast like the MSB, but it would have the degrading effect keeping it from becoming some kind of super weapon. I also liked the "Falcon," and "Orb" idea. The orb could actually be like a container for certain runes, while giving a small magic boost. Maybe equivilant to the Guthix or Zamorak prayer book. You could enchant it with a certain amount of runes (that you have to provide), therefore freeing up inventory space. It could only hold so many though, like say between 1-5k (depending on the type of rune). It would also show up on the ground if you die, since it's really nothing more than a container. The Falcon should come from an egg, and you'd have to raise and train it to become a proper weapon. Maybe it wouldn't be so much a weapon as a "special attack" sorts. It would be worn on your shield slot, so it could only be used with single-handed weapons, but every now and then (like a Barrow's set-effect) the Falcon may fly from your arm and do damage to whatever you are attacking. In that sense it wouldn't need ammo, because it would be more like a random special-attack. I thought those were some very clever ideas, and just felt like elaborating on them further. I know it really has nothing to do with 3rd Age.
  8. By free, I assume you mean gift? If so, then it would be the Robin Hood Hat that my closest friends chipped together to get me. It means a whole hell of alot to me because of that, especially since my friends don't really know one another that well. They got together to do that for me .. It's probably one of my most prized objects I own for the simple sentimentality attached to it.
  9. I have lots of memories regarding RuneScape, some good and some bad. Most of them were when I was a lower level, it just seemed that there wasn't as much drama then. I still have good memories today, but they don't seem as "innocent" as they did back then, when the world of RuneScape was still new to me. Anyway, some of my favorites I'll list .. Finding my way to Varrock after getting lost in the area around Draynor Manor. I rarely left Varrock after that, and spent all my time killing the Goblins near the back entrance to the Edgeville Dungeon where the Hill Giants were. I remember being so ecstatic when I got a brass key from someone to go down there. It felt like some place that only a few people knew about (which wasn't the case), and that I was lucky to be privy to it. I trained on those Goblins for a long time too. Far longer than a person of my level should have, but I didn't like to take risks. I chopped the Oak trees near Gertrude's house, and then sold the logs to the general store for 2gp each. I thought that was good cash back then, and used to camp there at the general store looking for items that I could buy. I remember buying an Amulet of Power for 4k, and getting compliments for wearing it. Then explaining that I only paid 4k instead of 10k, and people were amazed, and told me I was lucky. Comradery was so much more back then. It's funny now, but I rarely go to Varrock now, and when I do the music instantly brings back all those memories. Infact, now that I think about it, most of my significant memories of RuneScape have taken place in Varrock. It's where I first got scammed (never to be scammed again). I was buying a Mithril platebody and in my excitement I forgot to check the second trade screen. He had removed it, and I got nothing for the cash I spent. It was also where I bought my first ever Halloween Mask (green). I had saved up long, and hard for it. My friend idolized it so much that I eventually gave it to her. It wasn't long after that I saved up for a red one later on down the road. I enjoyed helping people out back then, and making them happy. Infact, I still do today. If you're polite and need help, I'll usually go out of my way. I wouldn't want to sour the experience of this game for other people, like how some people used to treat me for being a "noob." It's worse today than it was then, but it's still nice to make someone's day. Speaking of which, that reminded me of the guy who walked me through the entire Knight's Sword quest just so I could get that cool looking sword he had. I wish I knew what happened to him, since he stopped logging in a long time ago, but he was one of the few people that made a large impact on the way I play the game now. He actually took the time out of his playing to help do this quest, just because. He never asked for money, or any kind of compensation. He also helped me do Dragon Slayer and earn my first Rune Plate. He helped me level, and guided me through the quest. He never made it overly easy though. Never gave me the runes to get the magic level required, or any cash. I relied on him to guide me, but he made it where I needed to rely on myself to accomplish it. He was also the first person to greet me when I got back from killing Elvarg. I guess, in the end, it was Varrock, and that guy (who's RS name I wish I could remember) that are my fondest RS memories.
  10. Very nice, Lime .. It was clever indeed now that I've seen the answer. Congrats on the 1mil, Sijan .. And actually examining her.
  11. Can you kill dragons with your eyes closed, Lime? By the way, despite it being braille .. The alignment of the items still looks sort of like the United States. It even has the Mississippi River.
  12. No hints .. I'm sure once it's figured out it will be like a slap in the face of stupidity.
  13. Pretty much already did the Christmas thing. Gave my friend a Mage Composite Bow, since she wanted one, and she gave me a piece of the Sara' Vestament Set that I needed to complete it. So we both got what we wanted.
  14. Hunter, honestly. I've never really been intrigued by a skill like I am this one. Normally I'll bounce between them, getting a level here and there, but generally just enjoying the game. I have completely devoted myself to getting 99 Hunter now that the only break from Hunter I plan on taking is when the Eagle's Peak quest comes out. I also can't explain why I enjoy the skill so much either, since it's really just a mundane sit and wait game. Maybe it's the ease at which you can go about leveling it without having to worry about having enough supplies. Who knows?
  15. I've been wondering what the quest requirements might be since tinkering around with the falcons. This is just my own wishful thinking, but maybe the quest will allow us to use the falcons outside of the pen. I know, it's doubtful, but if the requirements for the quest ARE 43, which I doubt, then it's a good possibility. I was mainly thinking this might be the case, because of all the raccoons, squirrels and what-not that inhabit RuneScape. Why were they not somehow included into the Hunter skill? Just like the Kebbits, they would make great prey for the falcons to hunt, so it's a possibility; at least one I see. Again, this is all wishful thinking on my part, but eh .. Who knows?
  16. I editted the post and added a set with just landmarks, not creatures. Although, I still would consider the Tz-Tok Jad a wonder of RuneScape.
  17. Are we talking landmarks, or just anything in the game? I'll assume everything in the game is being considered. Here's my list, in no particular order: 1) The Mysterious Graves of the Ancient Warriors (Barrows) 2) The Mighty Tz-Tok Jad 3) The Fire-Breathing, Three-Headed King Black Dragon 4) The Greatest Adventurer Ever, The Wise Old Man 5) The Fearsome Trio of Dagganoth Prime, Rex & Supreme 6) The Curious Lost City of Zanaris 7) The Three Great Pyramids of the Kahridian Desert If we're talking landmarks? 1) The Curious Lost City of Zanaris 2) The Mysterious Graves of the Ancient Warriors (Barrows) 3) The Three Great Pyramids of the Kahridian Desert 4) A Torn Rift in Space, The Abyss 5) The Crystal Spires of Priffandis, the Elven City (Hopefully soon) 6) The Scarred Landscape of the Wilderness 7) The Festering Swamps of Mort Myre Yeah, so I over-dramatized them a bit. Oh well. :-w
  18. Here's the God Letter in question, regarding the RS entrance page:
  19. I remember that, it's the "Gates of Lohg-ihn," or something like that. Quiet funny if you get the little in-joke from Jagex there.
  20. You can carry, in your "backpack," millions of little gold coins, thousands of tiny runestones and hundreds of large, steel cannonballs .. .. But only twenty-eight, paper-thin, leaf-like herbs, at the very most.
  21. Aw, it was nice chattin' with you on mIRC, aNty. Take care, and enjoy yourself in whatever you do. I hope to see you stop by the chat for some conversation at least.
  22. The Elven lands still could be untouched by humans, if you take into account that they came from the west, over the sea. I somehow remember that being a piece of information from one of the quests related to them, or some book I've read from the game. I always thought that was the case anyway, and that the current Elven lands we have access to were just where the Elves set foot on our current little chunk of land. When they came to the east, that is where they settled, so I can understand if Tyras, and other humans have access. As I've said from reading the stories, I believe the true Elven lands are still to the west, across the sea.
  23. Thanks for the comments on the signature, and writings, they are greatly appreciated. I've posted a new entry for all those who are interested, feel free to criticize, I promise not to cry.
  24. Hello, just a humble RS player here, who happens to be aligned with a certain "Turkish82" from the realm of RuneScape. Now, as much as I'm sure he'd like to keep his own 'blog, I've yet to see any sort of computer, let alone internet around RS. I do, however, have a stack of parchment, with hastily scribbled notes in charcoal that I can write down, and record for Mr. Turk. So, without further ado, let us begin: Monday, August 21st, 2006 I happened upon no new writings today, so I assume Mr. Turk is still killing "An-koo's." However, I did find a few notes here and there that may be of interest to any readers, and shed some light on who he is. It would seem that many people are confused when they happen to find out my name, Turkish82. Now you may be inclined to pronounce it as "Turkish Eighty-Two," but that simply is not the case. I am "Turkish, the Eighty-Second." I am from a long line of Turkish's that date back far into the early 4th age. If I ever have a child of my own, he will simply be known as "Turkish83," or "Turkish the Eighty-Third." -------- I have come to the conclusion that Gnome's thoroughly distress me. I recently aided the Gnome wizard, Brimstail in a task, and there is something about them that does not set right with me. It has nothing to do with their height, because I am perfectly fine when around anyone of Dwarven race: Dwarves are not much taller. I think it may possibly be their pointed heads, but I am not sure. I am in no way judging their character based upon this, because Gnome people are genuinely friendly, if not a tad secretive. Not only has Brimstail asked for my help, but King Narnode Shareem himself has, as well as Aluft Jr. Not to mention, I have a knack for the sport of Gnomeball. -------- There is a mysterious old man that follows me around constantly. I will be minding my own business, and turn around to find him right there. It is quite startling, especially when you are expecting to be alone, only to find him there. Generally he parts with a gift of some coins, or those nasty spinach rolls, but there are times that he will whisk me off somewhere. I do not understand this, and I think it is simply a cry for attention on his part. Perhaps if he didn't intrude on other people's privacy, or stop being so rude as to interrupt whatever task you are doing, then he might have more friends. He has, afterall, told me his is a lonely chap. -------- I have been pondering names for my Abyssal Whip lately. It has been a trusted ally by my side for awhile now, and I thought it only fitting to personalize the object, and perhaps give it some life. There are a few names that have been floating through my head, such as "Elanor," "Abagail" and "Priscilla." I think I may settle on "Grimrock the Slayer of All That is Mighty." It has a ring to it, do you not think so? -------- Well, there are a few musings that may be insightful to his character, and ramblings of his mind. Perhaps I shall post a few more when I stumble upon them. I am expecting to recieve new writings of his daily doings within the next couple of days, so stay posted! Sunday, August 20th, 2006 I've stumbled upon a strange creature recently, in the depths of a massive dungeon located in the center of the Barbarian Village. I should say, the entrance is in the center, and the massive expanse of this dungeon surely travels close to that which is found in Edgeville. Anyway, this strange creature is located on the fourth level of this large complex. There are many a skeleton, and skulls lining the walls and floors; the earth charred a midnight hue. It is a very somber place, to say the least. To reach these unnatural abominations, you must travel through many gates, which ask ridiculous questions about "bank pins," and "passwords." I have no idea what they speak of, so I simply nod my head, and pass by. These creatures, if you have been curious up this point, are a grotesque skeleton, covered in what appears to be pink slime, or jelly. I've no clue, but many have now fallen to my trusty Abyssal Whip. To my suprise they drop copious amounts of the much sought after blood rune. I believe they are called an "An-koo," or something of that like, as I've only heard of it in passing. Perhaps if I challenge enough of these foes, I can gather plenty of those blood runes, and sell them for lovely money! Yes, then the dreams of this adventurer could become closer to reality, as my house would surely begin to reflect my wealth, which there is a current lack there-of. Already I am skimming through the dwarven stonemason's catelogue of fine marble, and imported gold leaf, while lounging in my parlour. Perhaps a gilded altar for my own person shrine to our great lord Saradomin would be in order? All I know is that after a long day's adventuring, I long to return to my home in Yanille, and rest my weary feet by the fireplace. I should note that I am tired of the constant visits by that rowdy dwarf. Always wanting to hear my tales, and offering his beer and kebabs. Even with my house locked up he always manages to find a way in. It infuriates me to no end, especially since I have never actually invited him into my home. I also swear that if he throws one more rock through my windows, I will replace the dummy in my hangman game with his drunken self. -------- It saddens me that I now must wear these atrocious goggles wherever I go. Apparently I failed some sort of "eye-exam" they held in Edgeville. I admit, I can see quite clearly with them, more-so than without, but they definately do not aid my sense of fashion in any way.
