  1. I happen to be in possession of one of those too, albeit the European version. The only phone I ever knew to actually be improved by going through the washing machine. (If you're wondering, I have a collection of oldschool Nokia phones which includes the 9210i, 6310i, the 9110i and 5100. My dad worked for Nokia so I had easy access to some phones that never came out too, like the 7700. I'm also hoping to get my hands on a 3510 for its epic gaming capabilities.)
  2. That could be illegal, most EULAs prevent the user from making the game playable without the disk.

Vista was cosmetic changes; So far 7 is extreme under the hood changes along with a few UI tweaks here and there. If it looks like Vista, that's ok with me so long as it preforms better.

I did a logo for my dA page a while back, I'd post it here but I somehow just don't think it turned out right. Something's missing.

The next time you have a book report, try to do the communist manifesto (To OP, Author: Karl Marx) and when they say that you can't, challenge them.
  6. The most popular phone in the world. *Pukes at all the iPhones, blackberries, Motorolas, and Ericssons* I have the Nokia 9210i, how's that for oldschool? Take that, n00bs.

Interestingly enough, Windows 7 will make use of the windows micro kernel, just 40 megabytes in size. A nice improvement from the what, 1 gigabiclycle or more?Isn't Vista kernel 3.3 MB?Sure as crap not. It's freaking huge right now. The Linux kernel, I beleive, is about 20-30 megabytes. Don't quote me on that, I could be completely in the forest.

It isn't banned from the US, just from like school libraries.

They mean banned as in not allowed at school libraries, I think. My parents are quite conservative and my mom recommended me 1984 (Orwell). Among my favorite books. I intend to read Animal Farm sometime too.

http://windows7news.com/2008/10/29/wind ... age-by-50/ Interesting. Less memory usage I could certainly benifit from.

KDE 4 + Mac OS X dock anyone? The new navigation method just looks weird... Maybe I'll grow into it though. Hopefully they've learned their lesson and packed it all into one version this time. I'm going to look for more screenies. EDIT:
  15. You mean computer arts magazine? They are totally FTW.
  16. I agree with this. There is simply no good or productive reason.
  17. Hmm, it would be nice if we really had enough people who didn't discriminate when they voted, as stormrage said. But I don't think we do. Let's pretend that the forum staff did come up with a list of people that they thought would give honest votes though; If it was public, it would turn into some elitist crap. The only way would be to pm all the selected voters so that nobody knew who was in and who wasn't other than the forum staff. That said, though, it really sounds like a fun idea. As long as none of the categories are negative, of course. And asking the user for permission to have their name in would be necessary.
  18. I've always liked being on top when it comes to OSes, just too bad there are so many versions of Windows, or I'd have Ultimate. I really want to try out the integrated UNIX subsystem, all the people I know that have ultimate don't even know what Unix is. Life is unfair.
