But seriously, santor, rushrock, you guys are discriminating against popular people. One of my friends is on her basketball team, she's great looking and has tons of friends. She's very, very popular. But is she shallow? Hell no! She always helps others and is nice as can be! Being popular for her is just a coincidence with her personality. Not exactly what I said...I'm not talking about people who have lots of friends, I'm talking about that specific group (usually large) of people in [mostly everyone's] schools that seek social status and acceptance. They are zombies of the media and depend on discrimination of others to satisfy them. They don't accept those who are different, and they are, indeed, shallow. Obviously, your friend isn't in this group we're talking about.

ok some of this is alright to a point but dont be something youre not why not? i talk about runescape sometimes with my friends why shouldnt he make some real life friends on runescape? jimi: well umm some people just find computer games nerdy- i tend to not talk about it but i do have a couple friends that play games and are still as popular as i am :-w - i would talk about stuff like this with other people who you have it in common with- if they dont like/understand something they wont want to listen anyway right? popularity is a lie in all sorts of ways just be yourself kind of... but it still makes life as a teenager alot more fun :boohoo: t are.you.crazy i wear glasses and i make plenty of friends. wear what you wanna wear cause i'd rather wear glasses than poke my eyes every morning dating at age 10-15 is pointless. asnswer me this. when you went out with someone at a young age was it because of actual love? or just to make you look cool? cause im seriously laughing at the fact people are sad that someone walking on the play ground with thier cousin. :roll: stay away from dating till you can drive IMO pretty much... It would be better if you love your girlfriend for who she is, but if you want to be like irulepoker and just have popularity and no girlfriend who loves you for who you are, then do what he says. it won't make you any happier. Your statement is hypocritical because you said that irulepoker knows how to be cool, and later you said that personality will make you a lot happier. Cool is relative. I think all my friends are cool, and I think the "popular" kids are anything but cool. My friends are cool because they're fun to be around, good to talk to, and understand my emotions. I love them all. The "popular" kids aren't cool because they don't care about anyone but themselves and they discriminate against people just for what they wear. Do you really think that's cool? There's always friends around, and I just think it took a while for him to realize it. He probably had friends, but either was ignorant and ignored them, or felt so bad for himself that he forgot they even existed. (No offense, author of this thread.) In my opinion, there's no such thing as a nerd. Everyone has their own little group of friends in school, and that's fine. It gets bad when some of the groups start discriminating against the other groups, and such common insults such as "goth" or "emo" begin to appear. Don't be like the "popular" kids. They seem to be a huge group, but really they just do it for social status. However, in my opinion there's no such thing as social status. If there was, then everything would be in the hands of one group of people. Is that really what you wanted to tell the author of this thread, who apparently has depression issues, irulepoker? My girlfriend sometimes wears glasses, and she doesn't dress like the "popular" kids, as you put it. Do you really suggest that I stop loving her? Do you want all of us to be conformists?
