  2. There's nothing wrong with "emo" people... Let people express their own styles!!! :x
  3. Beautifully written!!! : Some might say that I dress "goth", but I'm not goth. I'm my own style. Just because I choose to wear what I want, I won't be tucked away in a category that denounces my name. I'm wearing what I want, not what everybody else wants. I sincerely hope everyone can realize this. You're "cool" if you wear what you want, not what everyone else wants. Thanks for writing this.

  5. You can't make blanket statements like that. You're assuming he enjoyed watching the video because he likes watching death. That is a hasty conclusion and one that you did not support. Perhaps he just likes watching justice being served. He enjoyed watching it. Death of someone should never be enjoyable. Ever. Let me repeat myself. He wasn't watching the video for the sake of watching someone die. He was watching the video for the sake of watching justice being served. You're assuming it was the death that was enjoyable - I'm assuming that it was the justice of the act that was enjoyable; it just so happened that justice was served in a generally non-desirable way, but it doesn't change the fact that it was justice, and that is what is enjoyable about it. Why even watch the video? Isn't the news saying "Saddam is dead!" good enough for people anymore? Apparently not. People like to watch justice being served.
  6. ALL of what he said. He ;) Fixed my original post and quote.

Good luck, but where have we seen you before?
  9. He headed the Ba'ath party, a secular socialist party. Unlike the ruling system of the Islamic Republic of Iran (full name added for emphasis) and the Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia, the islamic priesthood had... well... a not quite as prominent position within the government. He oppressed, among others, the Shia muslims in Iraq - that'd be the largest branch of islam present in Iraq - and he fought a war that lasted 8 years against the Islamic Republic of Iran - a country by then led by a man who talked about exporting the Islamic revolution to places like secular Iraq. The events leading up to the first gulf war include Saddam Hussein expecting several arab states, including Kuwait, to write of wartime debts because he "protected" their respective countries from the aforementioned export of the Islamic Revolution. Define "devout". To be devout, you don't have to believe exactly what your religion says. Saddam was very twisted, and he thought what he was doing didn't go against the Islamic laws. He's devout because he believed what he did was right, even though it wasn't. In other words, he was devout in a bad way.
  10. 7/10 Nice dragon. 8-)
  11. Well he's saying his prayers before he gets hanged, so while obviously not the most devout chap in town, he still had religious beliefs. Still for the Sunnis who followed him, they can use his death as a symbol more than if he's locked up in jail till he dies. How does that prove he wasn't devout?
  12. Seeing as he wasn't quite the religious sort, I sincerely doubt that mattered much to him. Actually, I'm pretty sure he was a devout Muslim.
  13. So, while I
  14. But don't you see - he's not paying for them! Imagine he killed your parents. Would watching him die really make you feel better? It wouldn't bring them back. It wouldn't ease the pain of their deaths. It would do nothing except give you the knowledge that he couldn't hurt any more people. That's what I'm saying. A lot of people want to watch the video for closure.
  15. Kitties are the greatest animals in the world!!! : :
  16. Issy: Some people want to see the video so they can see him pay for all the horrible crimes he committed.
  17. Sometimes I'm Metrosexual.
  18. Death is their way of eliminating what they are scared of. Body parts which could have saved lives have gone to waste. Huh?
  19. You can't. He does deserve to die, but only because of the horror of his crimes. The death penalty isn't a "peaceful" solution, but in some cases it's necessary.
  20. I love them!!!
  21. I just went to the biggest New Year's Eve party! It was a wedding reception and a New Year's Eve party forged into one!!! \

A Wii - no question. Would you rather kill your mom or kill your best friend?
  23. Even if it was it would be going against freedom of religion, cause witchcraft counts as a belief system. Though I don't put much trust in freedom of religion anymore, the government doesn't really enforce it now a days, they are mostly biased towards Christianity, so if the church wants something banned the government isn't going to stop them. Thank you. =D>
